Romp Stomp	Posted - 2008.10.21 05:51:00 - [1] When I was a few weeks into this game I started looking around at the map and saw this mysterious place in space that was totally vacant, and there was no way to get to it. Jove. So I start investigating, doing google searches, asking people about it. I saw in another thread that the devs said several years ago that it is possible to find a way in. I also saw a video where someone had manually navigated there, which came off to me as a cheat as there would be no session change, so I decided to look into it. Journey begins. So I start getting the skills to explore and learn how to use them, Ive been making my way though space, looking for clues and having as much fun as i can along the way. Ive gathered a notebook of possible clues; patterns on ghost ships, formations, numbers, layouts of the missions/complexes/exploration sites. Ive tried decrypting various things I've found, heading off to where that clue leads me, but nothing has lead into another clue. So now that my main character is somewhat seasoned, I am losing hope. As much as I want to be wrong, I am starting to believe the developers have not put something so clever into this game. My question requires a simple yes or no answer from a developer and only a developer. Am I wasting my time trying to find clues that would lead me into Jove sovereign space?
Kendar Gallente Disney inc	Posted - 2008.10.21 07:29:00 - [2] many pilots have done the same thing, the bad news is there is no way to get to jove space atm the ones that got there did it 3-4 years ago by "clonejumping" to the stations in jove region that had cloning service but that got nerfed

Content creation takes money(developer time) if there was content there the CCP would tip us off so as not to waste their own work. Since theres nothing there they dont want us going there. If you think corp is different than a guild or clan you have some insecurity issues.

Considering the belts have no asteroids, there are no npcs and the agents wont talk to you i highly doubt CCP added a magic gate to the jove land, it would be pretty boring there. -----

Just remember, as with everything else in Eve, things are there for a reason, and Jove space is no different.

In order to unlock Wrangler's secret stash, you need to Dolls in your inventory... some kid of 'talking' to them may help. If you ever encounter Lady of Exotic Dance make sure not to worship her (hore ship), she may a-maze you in guristas 10/10 plex, nicknamed 'the maze' Liquid Spirit of Deitis, your beloved one may advice you to crackle a phalanx missile... it will take you out of Motsu-a-ry immediately

Yesterdays comments in the live dev blog when questioned about Jove would be unlocked went something like this: "That is a good question. Next question." People saying you cant get it... They don't know for a fact if you can get in or not. CCP seems to want to put the history of Eve and the story of Eve in the players hands as much as possible. I cant imagine that CCP would not leave unlocking Jove up to the people who PLAY eve. Weather it is currently in the game mechanics... that would be a good answer to know. I spent time doing things such as trying to see if the Apothesis pointed to something like a number in a Jove station that could possibly indicate a star system to go to. If it isn't in the game right now, it should be.

Back in 2004 a Jove guy exploded when he tried to use his teleporter, sending little bony bits into everyone's hangar. CCP cleverly misled everyone into donating them to a faction to gain Jove standing, thus removing the majority of the seeded items and making them impossibly rare. You'll need trillions of isk and a lot of luck to buy one off someone who actually kept a Jivian giblet. Once you have your giblet, I suggest you go to Band of Brothers controlled space with it (Querious, Delve, Period-Basis looks like). Why there? Well there was a bit of drama way back about BoB being favored by CCP, and well... used to be a good bit of CCP devs like TomB were Jovian, right? So, my speculation would be that maybe if you take a Jovian bit to some NPC out in BoB space (maybe a roaming space agent) they will give you high standings with the Jove empire and thus you can use some widget to get into Jovian space. That's my guess. Good luck! All of this is moot, though, because this game has a serious lack of space whales.

Or more of it would be to much of a system shock to the whole of the eve echo system. This is why. First you have to see... that is huge expansion to 0.0 space. Now with that huge vacuum of space every major alliance is going to surge in. This will create mass havoc on the servers. Most of the servers supporting systems with entry points into the Jove are will need to be twice what Jita is. We are talking 2000+ players running in there with every major battle asset they can. We are talking 10+ titans in some of the systems. And if that will not crash a server nothing will. Not to mention that this would be about a good 10-15% increase in servers needed to run the game. Now this will also create a good vacuum to because all the large alliances will be fighting over the new space. Smaller corps in empire and low sec will likely be able to come up and take hold of a few systems. The challenge will be to hold on to them once the dust settles. Beyond that is the flux to the eve economy. You're going to see HUGE losses likely trillions lost out of the economy from loss of huge numbers of capital ships, and other PVP. While this will be GREAT long term as with any great war (see real history ) short term it will create another vacuum till things settle down. Prices for basic ore will go up to crazy prices and "carebare" mission runners will get hosed as the cost of basic ships once the economy if flushed out shortly of what's around will jump in price dramatically. In the end for 3-4 months everything would be completely FUBAR. Past that, stay cloaked by the gates that lead in and wait for a dev. If you look at the maps with it set to show how many players are in system you can catch a few dev pilots having fun from time to time. Cheers!

If you load up sovereignty on your map, show all factions and alliances, go look at Jove space, you will see that someone has sovereignty out there. The alliance is Tanis. Jove. You definitely can get to Jove space. it's in the database, there are systems & stations, there are polaris and other ships there. Devs hang out there for testing that can't be done easily on SiSi. And there most definitely is a way to reach it from 0.0 I don't want to get banned for exploits or anything so I will leave it at that. Also, what the hell is a 'waypost'?

Fly with a cap ship to one of the systems near jove space, and then ask in the rookie channel if one of the devs there will light a cyno for you. A lot of people did that! And they never returned, so still no jove skills and bpo's. :(
