What do you want from the mercs you hire? Mercenary corporations in Eve Online tend to approach the craft directly - big ol' spaceship blobs, shootin' them big ol' lasers at the guy you want killed. Don't get me wrong, that way of doing things is pretty effective - after a few months of protracted warfare against a competent enemy fielding many capital ships, most targeted corporations or alliances will fold. But... what if you want something more. Something more vicious. Something more personal. What if someone pissed you off enough for you to decide to end them entirely. Well, we're your guys. If I can manage to pop someone's rookie ship and i'm in a battleship, it doesn't really deliver much pleasure. However if I can manage to pop someone's battleship and i'm in a rookie ship, then i'm a very happy pod pilot indeed. OP has a very good point. Most importantly, how are you supposed to tell whether this is part of my post or my signature?

Tyrrax Thorrk Amarr Developmental Neogenics Amalgamated	Posted - 2008.11.01 16:13:00 - [14] how about when i destroyed ISS ! or when I set up, fced and coordinated Count TaSessine's wyvern kill, and same for that MC mothership kill i did pretty well in the first two alliance tournaments too ;O made it to semi-finals and both times narrowly lost to BoB who went on to win ;d oh and 2nd place in a fanfest pvp tournament using a maller, damn that shin ra and his caracal of doom :[

You can kill the ship, kill the pod, and the enemy gets a cheap, quick ride back to their station and a new ship. Isk is so easy to earn in high-sec, your enemies can drop to NPC corps and rebuild and start over without shedding a tear. But revenge with the depth of psychological manipulation, betrayal, and emotional rapine delivered by GHSC is how I want my message delivered to my enemies. GHSC is why I started playing Eve.
