After the patch I have seen that my XFX 7600GTX 256MB is not really enough to hold the game with Extreme qualities in both options, so I would like to know graphicals cards who hold it. Thx in advance. ------ Skills |

Twin GX2s handles it quite well.
A solo 8800GTX also had no problems.

I have a single 8800GTS 320MB, works great. Everything maxed with 2x AA and I'm getting 80-120fps.

Since SLI is only half-working with EVE (if at all), I doubt that using twin cards will give any real performance boost.
(Unless you seperately accelerate several screens (plug one screen into each card?) and run multiple clients on different screens, I guess.)
Edited for clarity.

standard 8800 gts 512 will do the trick.. for a tiny raise in price.. 9800's will definately do it.. twice.. or, if your a maggot like me.. just grab a gx280 for kicks.

Correct.
It was said at fanfest that there is no support in Eve at all for SLI, and at present the Trinity engine will only utilise one card, or one half of one 9800GX2 as far as I'm aware.
The fellow from nVidia who was there was asked about SLI support after demoing a machine running Trinity at 5120x1600 across 2 Dell 30 inch panels. He responded that apparently it's a relatively small patch in the grand scheme of things to introduce SLI support to Eve and it could be looked into if enough people wanted it.
I, for one, am hoping it materialises over the next few months as I'm running Quad SLI with 2x 9800GX2s.

I have a pair of 9600GT's, they work like a charm with 2 x 22" monitors for running 2 clients.
The PC is a Quad core thingy with Wista64 and 8 GB RAM.

An ATI 4830 is the best deal, but an 8800gt/9800gt (same card rebranded) will do just fine even at super high res.

In all seriousness though, can you list your PC specs? Knowing your processor, graphics card, RAM, and Operating System should be good enough to help ^^
My old computer ran Eve at 45 fps (classic) with a single-core CPU, 1G RAM, and an on-board 5xxx series GPU, so finding a cheap way for you to run it shouldn't be too hard :D
Even a 7800 GPU should be able to run it absolutely fine, and a dual-core CPU is pretty cheap now. The RAM isn't exppensive either, 4 gigs should be fine. If you want to overclock your GPU and CPU, you can look into doing that as well. Just make sure you have enough cooling/air ventilation (fans, heatsinks, water cooling if you're into that)
Edit: Short-hand word for naked women having sex on film is blocked.

8x AA,16xAF,Max Adaptive AA with highest options in EVE - 70-130 FPS Outside the station. My Intel E2220 fails though and i believe i have a bottleneck there. I'll change that soon.
My advice : Get either a 9800 GTX+ or a 4850. Both are great cards with almost same results. In some games one is better than the other one and in other games it's worse than the other one. If you want something even cheaper, tell us .
Oh and, don't make any fatal mistake and do SLI. If you really want more than a single graphics card, go Crossfire. It's MUCH better.

LOL. No downloading of anything.
I will get back to you on the specs. It is a 3 year old Tosiba Satelite Laptop bought in 2005 to give you a reference point. IT has 80g, I upgraded to 2 gigs Ram about 8 months ago, everything else is the same as the manufacture provided in that day and time. Not sure if that helps.
They do not offer any updates for the graphics card or anything. They will not get anymore of my money for sure. But I used to be able to run two accounts before the expansion where the new graphics came in and after that my performance plumeted. The client will not even allow my computer to try and run the premium graphics so they are all shut off.
Oh yes, it runs hotter then hell even when I have it set up on a baking try with grill cover set over it so there is about 1 inch of space for air flow.
I will send you an EVE mail this evening with the other info.

Something there is wrong, mate. I'm running higher resolution than you with maxed aa,af,adaptive aa forced through Catalyst with MUCH MUCH worse CPU than yours and slightly less powerful GPU than yours and still getting more FPS.
Did you try running EVE on a separate hard drive than the one that the operating system uses ? Also, different hard drive for Windows Virtual Memory ?
These 2 along with Advanced Performance Drive Caching on your eve, windows, virtual memory drives should give you a good fps boost.
You will need a UPS though for the advanced performance caching, just to be 100% sure you won't ever get a power outtage that it might result in files corruption. (yes, advanced performance caching might do that if power fails)

In premium client, gfx card makes much more difference then the CPU. Just about everything is rendered through shaders. On classic client, CPU is the thing that renders the most stuff.
As long as its a Prescot P4 or anything better you are OK on the CPU. Altho, dual core is much nicer, it wont provide as much of a boost to the FPS as a new GFX will, but it will help. Also, CPU cache has just about no impact on gaming at all.
