Forget the built in Window allocators.
Try nedmalloc http://www.nedprod.com/programs/portable/nedmalloc/
Ensure all C++ allocators (a la new) and C allocators (a la malloc) are redirected to nedmalloc.
Allocate all small blocks from pools.

U would make 1000 new patches and wait from players to be happy about a gift which 1st should be work so from begin, and 2nd which would not work even after this patch

heavens i completely agree this patch is very much expected and should continue to be ccp should always be working to fix an problems / bugs and get us better preformence. i do not consider this as a gift but i do very much appriciate it finally getting sorted. lets all hope it goes to plan. i wouldnt mind some SP's i lost as a christmas forgiveness present for not upgrading :P and i probs wouldnt of got popped if fleet battle preformance had already been satifactory :)

How do i say this! THANK YOU!
Namely for the memory leak fix resulting in performance degradation with time, and jumping clones, that i had to actually log off and log back on to actually go to the other station.
Again, Thank you! Hopefully after this patch the issues I described above will no longer be preventing the overall and otherwise great gaming experience!
Also thank you for the ability to remove shake camera and explosion effects.. very nice indeed!

First off, I am not sure why I am seeing miners complaining about this new patch, lag exists pretty much across the board for everyone, and therefore, everyone across the board will benefit from it one way or another. As a christmas gift, it is actually quite logical in terms of giving a gift everyone can enjoy. However, as a business, CCP was sorta required to do this to make up for all the performance issues brought about by Quantum Nerf. Still though, CCP getting this fixed is a good thing either way you look at, and I am sure it did take alot of hard work, so in that sense, thank you CCP! The only bad part about quantum nerf was the missle nerf. Interceptors were WAY too fast and annoying, plus, now people have a good reason to get into an assualt ship or electronic attack. I can not forgive the missle nerf though, all the missle users in my corp are ticked off, me included. Besides all that, if CCP really really wanted to give all of Eve a gift they could honestly enjoy (and they wouldn't catch much crap over), here are a few suggestions...
1.) Get "walking in stations" to be a reality.
2.) Undo at least SOME of the missle nerf.
3.) Allow alliances the option to setup some form of logo like a corp can. Custom logos for both corps AND alliances, for a fee, isn't a bad thought either.
4.) Open up at least a part of jovian space, why have it on the map if we can't go there.
5.) REWARD positive sec status for killing obvious isk farmers in low sec. Go to the arzi system sometime and tell me that system isn't loaded with isk farmers.
Those are just a few constructive suggestions for future holidays, overall though, thanks for this new patch CCP, I hope it's deployment is swift and flawless. Merry Christmas!

I tested on Singularity some minutes ago: Disabled Turret Effects and done some mining. Result, I can't see any laser effects - but I should - Right?
Further I suggest some "Model Detail" selection for low/med/hi Models (ie: lesser/more polygons). I already posted a feature request some weeks ago without a response. I think it would be a great feature!

lol speed is only going to help you if you are the only one online. Most offen it dosen't matter how much speed I have because I am lagging so bad. lol yeah give me speed. But reather have something that I can touch with my mouse pointer. well at least you guys over in Iceland will be going fast all the time. Everyone else will still be having the lag. Thanks can't wait should be fun.

Wonder what the chances are they will test the Steam version before rolling this out.
Or for that matter, the Mac/other OS.
So far every patch day, it's the same group of people complaining the most. The non 100% standard game install people that weren't tested before launch.

And your point that they give us the patch before christmas and not in the new year ... we pay for this service, so i expect to get bug fixes when they are finished, so this one is finished and they did their job or got it done in a hurry and will most likely mess something up, i realy hope it¦s the first option.
That¦s nothing more or less than my boss asks me to do, there is simply no extra in this
