a pirate was someone that attacked anything that was not a pirate.
Maybe they should consider what they are doing selling mining licences to "neutrals".
Anti-pirates have been working on the basis, if a pirate does not shoot it then an anti-pirate should.
Pirates can kick up a stink all they like but the anti-pirates know a lot of these "neutrals" are really the pirate-alts hauling in the ore under the guise of being neutral in the area.
Simple advice:
Pirate space is not safe for miners, the existence of the pirates within that area make it so.
Kick the pirates out and it is safe to mine, and it will be free to mine.
Maybe people should start learning that simple truth

Both sides are acting like "pirates". Paying the "anti pirates" to kick out the "pirates" (which is actually also equivalent to paying the anti-pirates for mining rights - and not killing them), is the same thing as paying the pirates for not killing them.
R.e. the ludicrous "sitting on the fence" statements: that's simply because *you* have defined the world as being pirate vs. anti-pirate. Neutrality is an option - albeit one you don't recognize, but the fact that you're ignoring reality doesn't make it any less real.
Be that as it may, in your war against the "pirates" you're justified in taking out their source of financial support... but you cannot claim to be any better than them, or "holier than thou".

Tought i do understand pirate hunters, you hep pirate in any way you are geting hunted by us. i would have done the same if i was a pirate hunter.
Problem here is that we have not get payed for anything by anyone. The only payment we are able to get from pilotes are single ransoms when their ship is about to go boom.

Tought i do understand pirate hunters, you hep pirate in any way you are geting hunted by us. i would have done the same if i was a pirate hunter.
Problem here is that we have not get payed for anything by anyone. The only payment we are able to get from pilotes are single ransoms when their ship is about to go boom.

You know, sometimes, things happen, that put anti-pirates/piratehunters in a bad light. INcidents such as this.
Agreed, the mining corp could have handled the matters more elegantly, but holding a ship at gunpoint and saying "pay up" hardly constitutes callin said victim a piraet collaborater.
tbh, this has the stench of "we want victims".

One thing I have to say izzz..
Seems that in EVE most 0.0 living corps don't play much IC. I would like to see more so called "pirate" corps acting like real pirates would act. Making ransoms, Tolling sectors, Selling protection, and so on....
(I know there are some cool RP-rat corps out there... my hats off for them)
Nowdays it looks like most of these corps are just waiting to get some kills done.. I think there is a big difference between griefer-corps and real pirate corps. But they all tend to call themselves pirates.
And what comes to payments..... It would be very stupid for corps like Bone Collectors or Tundra not to ask payment for "their" sector. I don't see a reason for sitting in the gates and outside station for nothing. This game is about isk after all.

You are in 0.0. That means lawless space. If you can't protect yourself in some manner (either by own force or allies) then you will loose ships. If you loose ships, you wasn't able to protect them. Your own fault. You are in 0.0.
If this is such a big problem, go to higher sec systems where concord will protect you. You can't have valuable ores AND safety, you'll have to choose...
