If you cannot defend the miners that pay you, then best you get another line of work, or the miners better understand, paying you is not the easy option they think it is.

If you are paying a pirate corporation to mine somewhere, you must accept the fact that you are allied with this pirate corp and risk to get blown up by corporations fighting them. They are trying to get rid of the pirates, and the only way to do that is to cut off their supply lines and kill their ships, in this case miners that pays the pirates... so tbh it was fine what they did.. you can just stop paying pirates to mine.. go mine in cfs space maybe.. there you wont get shot at by the "good" guys...... you asked for it your self... deal whit it..
