Very simple - thats not police job, this is alliance politics. STV are inofficial part of Norad (and all the Arcadia rests). They do the dirty job to threaten other miners to leave the area.

I have no angle on this at all, which is probably why you are struggling to decide which "side" I am on. I am neutral to this conversation and just making points as I see fit.
Its an interesting topic of conversation on this board, it appears to be a shift in certain anti-pirate corp policies. Just interested where it is going.
The thread has clearly broken into two camps, the anti-pirates and the pirates, and the usual tedium ensues, but still a lot more interesting than any thread about ore stealing.
XpoHoc, if you have never heard of an innocent person being gunned down in a warzone, maybe you should get your head out of this game a little more and into the real one.
I have explained whose alt I am already, if I named my main it would mean nothing to any of you anyway, she is also totally independent of all ties within this game.

Actually now i think about it I am older than my main character, unfortunately work commitments mean I spend more time on these darn boards than I do actually playing the game, hence I am an avid reader and poster on these boards.

You can die in this game it's no big deal, so Mr. X and Mr. Y can pull all the guns they want on me but I never giving them my money, and I don't like anyone else that gives them money either. Sure it may cost me more to get another ship or implants or whatever, what's important is that Mr. X and Mr. Y did not make any off of me.
Edit: sorry I didn't get to the alliance's thugs part. Well just keep this in mind kids, don't pay pirates. That's all I'm trying to say.

Omega Man, I'm just wondering because real police does not shoot anyone because they have sold/bought something "bad".
And even in a war it would be the same because all countries that are in the U.N.... except for a single one  would be judged for what they have done in the war.

Hey all you people who agree with what STV did, may I also suggest that they start camping empire gates and pwning all the people that might ever encounter a pirate, fight one, and lose. because thier loss will be funding pirates. because the only way to cut off a pirates cash is to kill everyone before they do. camp the gates that are right next to the pirates and then gank anyone who tries to go through, because if they get ganked by the pirates, they'd be funding the pirates, right? then when thats done, i guess it would only be the "anti-pirates" that would be funding the pirates right. so then you can go and self-destruct your own ships. dont want them getting into the hands of the pirates so that they can buy more ships to conduct thier piracy with.

yep, this thread has lasted a fair time, but i think i've ridden the wave as far as it can take me and it has grown stale and the arguements are coming around again and nobody seems to wish to change their viewpoint, so off to find something more interesting to do once more.
