You should see the weird stuff people fit battleships with, the above isn't even close to being the weirdest I've ever seen, and I haven't seen all that much.
Yeah, newer players are often in such a rush to get a battleship they don't train the necessary skills first. My personal favourite was a Scorpion pilot who didn't have missile launcher 5. I still cannot ken how a pure Calidari pilot could go past frigates without training launcher 5. The Dominix pilot SHOULD however be scourged for not trainined Drones 5 (the only reason I can think of for not using Heavy Drones with an indy-sized drone bay). I think I got drones V whilst still in a tier II cruiser...
Oh, and not to forget, great story. I'm totally indifferent to whether it is true or not. It was hilarious, and a nice break from the usual stories of pwning others and claiming no losses :P A sense of humour is a wonderful thing.

One of my funniest stories involved being recruited by a Raven pilot for the Zor kill mission. Turns outs he needed help because his missle skills stopped at heavy.
So he warps in and shield tanks Zor's Raven. My little Caracal warps in behind him and I waste Zor with torps/cruise.
Anyone else see the irony? --------------

Originally by: Shanara Red Maybe when we get Mk II Pods, you'll be able to fit a 1400mm Howitzer and REALLY get them!
Somewhere, somewhenŕa long while back nowŕI saw a screenie of a pod with a 250mm Rail Gun attached to it. This was probably my favorite of all the screenies showing that graphic glitch where something superimposes on your ship.
The 250 was at least as big as the pod. Really was funny to see. Be hilarious to have a Pod ćo Doom like that.
(P.S. I lost that photo so if anyone knows where it might still be hanging around out there please let me know.)

Never ceases to amaze me how many people do this. It is the EVE grind. Start the game and rocket into a battleship ASAP. They never listen to older players who tell them that is usually a recipe for an excellent way to lose an otherwise perfectly fine battleship. It is so hard to not say "I told you so" when they invariably lose the ship.
I mean, I have seen a Raven pilot who could not use Torps or cruise. Come to think of it he couldn't use MWD either. Sometimes you can see the guy who wants an Apoc to mine in but a Raven? It is combat ship almost exclusively!
Sorry for the hijack. I forgot to mention in my last post that I enjoyed the story a great deal as well. Keep them coming!

I once faced a raven loaded up with the uber assault launcher. I almost wet myself laughing as a swarm of light missiles came my way. It seems that he had been told that the light missiles did plenty of damage and if he could fire enough it would take most things down. Shame he decided to test it out on a shield tanked scorp loaded with cruise and torps. He didn't last too long.
n00bs in battleships are the funniest thing in eve. Especially when they try to smacktalk you into submission because there 250mm railguns and heavies don't seem to pack as much punch as your 425mm's and cruise.
Love lost, fire at will Dum-dum bullets and shoot to kill, I hear Dive, bombers, and Empire Down

That was so much better than most of the forum crap these days I'm gonna send you a couple of mil isk when I log in. If it was true use it to terrorise EVE if it was fiction use it that way anyway.

Dont think so, head "her" on my buddy list since I first read this and no log in as far as I could tell.
We need to drag her back kicking and screaming to write us more stories.
