It has come to our attention that there is an issue between PayPal and PayByCash. Unfortunately, this is an issue between PayPal and PayByCash and is something that is not within our control.
If you are paying your subscription through the above method, you need to contact those companies if your subscription is up for renewal. Unfortunately, the GMs are not able to assist with this issue and will most likely advise you to contact both companies or hit the following link.

what company would say that their is a processing fee for processing debit cards. like i am born yesterday.
and i can udnerstand paying them for their service but not like 4$ or whatever. im glad paypal doesnt support them anymore they prolly dont want to deal with their scams.
looks like I will have to get me a credit card for eve.

Edited by: Sinist on 20/07/2004 21:11:12 Why doesnt CCP take paypal? Or better yet why doesnt CCP take Debit Cards?
I think you need a new bank or "Account company" or whatever you call your account people.

CCP is providing a service where you can play a game (EVE), not where you can pay for playing the game. That is handled by a third party (PayByCash). In order to get your money to PayByCash, and then to CCP, PBC has to work with another third party, which in this case PayPal. If they suddenly change (without prior notice) their TOS, all PayByCash can do is work their asses off in order to get it PayPal payments working again. So if it is someone's fault, it's Paypal's.
And by the way: if you want to be 99.9% sure that you can pay for something, anywere on this world: get a credit card.
Sinist: PBC has to make a profit (in order to maintain their services) too.

The guilty party here is Paypal. They mistreat their merchant customers with a frankly shocking degrees of respect. I've has problems from day 1 with them, and only Ebay's purchase of Paypal has forced me to maintain an account with them.
I would ask CCP to consider taking Switch debit cards directly.

No no no no. Dont you understand? It is always everyone elses problem no matter what the issue is. No one can be expected to take care of themselves. There hands must be held at every step. And shame on anyone who might try to profit by providing a service. What world do you live in?

I like Paypal alot better then I like paybycash. I remember when paypal first opened. They only charged like 45 cents per purchase. Every year they got cheaper and now its basically free or just a few cents.
Paybycash is a few years old and they charge me dollars not cents on simple transactions. Paypal also had a faster growing population then Paypal and needed to meet the support demands.
I blame society really. When we have a need for a useless service like Paybycash you know things are screwed up.
Let's pay him and him this so he can pay this person that and then he can pass it onto her and she can pay him.
Makes no sense. CCP cant you just accept the debit cards. If paypal or paybycash accepts them why cant you. And like you said you outhire a company to handle payment services. Hire somebody else if they are incapable of handling it.
I dont get it. Why would you NOT accept debit cards? Is there some secret inner working im not aware of? No there isnt. In fact if I wanted to run a internet buisness right now I could have a webpage up in minutes that accepted debit cards.
I must be overlooking something.

You are overlooking the fact that CCP wants to have as few complications as possible on the billing side. And they have decided that expanding billing options will not make a big enough difference in their customer base. At least as it stands now. Who knows what they may decide to do down the line. They may decide that enough people want more billing options. Or they may not. Im sure that CCP felt that PBC serve their current interests(even if we do have to pay a premium to use it.) I know that if I could get a 3rd party to take care of a part of my billing headaches and have it not affect my customer base I would jump at the opportunity.

I don't understand why PayPal can't just pay CCP the money directly. There is absoloutley no need for a middleman like PayByCash, it just complicates things and causes problems like this.

Well all with all... stays the fact that it's not a "problem between paybycash and paypal alone"
CCP has agrements/contracts with paybycash...so now a lot of member come into trouble because of theire faulup.
If i had a bussiness and made an agrement with a cashprovider and he started to foul up and i'm gonna lose customers because of that...then i would certainly gonna complain bigtime with that provider and demand an fix.
I'm getting the idea that CCP isn't gonne act any other way and let this problem be ours to fix. i do not understand that.
