Me - but only just tbh. E&B was the better game IMO - it's just a shame that EA couldn't/wouldn't put the resources needed into it.

I was a long time EnB'er. But stopped in February when I found the trial for this game.

TBH, EnB was a lot better for quick fun and stuff like that, but lost points for the standard MMOG grind for levels.

EVE is better because of the depth, but requires lots of dedication to play.

Crying or Very sad
I am still playing both, just a lot more EvE lately. EnB was my frist on-line game and I will miss it.
IMHO Eve is a lot harder to learn but very interesting and fun. I play solo alot so I stay mostly in the safe zones. Once I have trained up to a Battle ship i'll join a Corp and see how the game is then.

Proud owner of.. uhh.. I think everything.

Well, until I donated all of the tradable stuff to The Merchant Marines that were sticking around. Spiffy game. I think everyone knew the writing was on the wall when the updates / patch messages got completely retarted, cutting and pasting information that had been out for nearly 2 years.

I won't ever buy another EA game. Not just for closing EAB, but for not releasing the source code for another company to pick it up. To just let the game die like that.

But then again, if I hadn't quit ENB, I wouldn't be playing Eve. And I like Eve more. Twisted Evil

E&B was also my first MMORPG, and I will definitely miss it as its style was really unique. As it's mentioned above, I agree completely, it was great for jumping out and having fun right away.
One of my bigger complains with that game (which I find funny now) was how long it took to travel from one place to another. It took probably 15-20 minutes to get from one side of the E&B "universe" to another. Another complaint I had was the fact that there was no PvP combat unless you got two or more people to agree to it and sign up at an arena thing (which I never got to try). EVE actually turned out to be what I would have liked E&B to be.
I'm really going to miss E&B, though, it had its good sides even if progressing in the game to the "end" of your levelling capability might have been without reward. My highest level character was Tradesmanjpm, a Terran Tradesman on the Galileo server probably around level 75-80.

I did, im not crazy about Eve but at time its the lest bad game out there. About as fun as EnB with 2% online, which wasnt fun at all. This way i atleast dont have to give money to EA Smile

Just happy i managed to get one alt to 150 in all races/classes. (And no there was no PLing, just a heck of lots of jobs)

Orion was my home.

"Just out of curiosity! Who's still playing Eve who was playing Earth and Beyond."

A lot more people than are likely to respond to this thread... Wink

I beta tested E&B, and was very sad to see it ending with so much potential and great storyline, all wasted on EA. I actually came to EVE back last November, didn't play that often though until perhaps a months or so before the sunset announcement of E&B. Comparing EVE and E&B is like apples and oranges really, so I don't bother. They are two very different games...

Yeah, I played EnB from the Beta through till a bit after the Sunset announcement. Got to the point where none of my friends were logging on, and noone was logging on in the guild. So I just said the hell with it. Had many fun times there near the end though, lost count on how many gate raids I'd been in, both regular and activated. I played on the Pegalag server the entire time, and it was the one server that had lag problem straight from release and probably still does now. I personally like both games about equally, they both have their own charms. Granted Eve is the only game I've really ever gotten into and enjoyed the PvP in. And thats sayin a lot since my first online game was UO.

my characters were:
Morikai 150lvl JD
Thorbaine PW
Arklor PS
Bladivic TW
and I forgot what the last was, if I even had one
