My question throughout reading this hilarious thread is: Is evn and/or xabier an alt of Viper? My conspiracy theory nodes are working overtime. lol
This is EVE. Nothing is impossible. |

I wouldn't say an alt, but if time permits I'll start hammering the employment history and compare it to my market logs to see if anything snaps. |

I find it interesting one person who defends the OP also attempted to dump a toon recently.
That's the problem with MD, you call down the thunder and you get it. |

Just like stabbing an assasin in self-defense wouldn't be right? cosmo "scammed" in order to get the same isk back he had been scammed out of. I see no problem. |

While the whole scamming a scammer makes you a scammer is somewhat valid. I would also buy into any cosmoray IPO/Bond if I wanted to. I've been blatantly absent from buying anything off the secondary market because I've invested in myself.
Would I scam someone who scammed me? Probably not, and not over 500mil thats for sure. Do I see a problem with this particular thing. I can see how many would call it a strike to the heart of scammers, and there needs to be more of those anyway.
I guess it would have been OK to more if it wasn't a scam but rather a Con..
Where Cosmoray setup a alt with the shares and focused on his target. This is something I would do, a scam to me is more general public everyone welcome to get their ISK stolen. Where as a con is more of a focused target planned and executed to get the desired outcome.

So say that you work in a bank. A guy comes in with and points a gun and runs away with x amount of money. The next day the same guy comes into the bank and wants to create an account with the bank for the stolen money.
What would you do? Would you let him create an account? If the answer to that is yes, then I simply disagree. If the answer is no and you previously thought what cosmo did was wrong, then there's a leap in logic somewhere.

While I totally agree with you, some idiot is going to say: "ZOMG EVE != RL cmon brawzuf seriously!11"
Some people think all analogies must be exactly the same...which by the very definition of analogy can never happen. |

I see history is correcting itself and the accusations never happened. I wouldn't do this myself. But I'm not going to penalize cosmoray for getting payback.

That was not op defending. I just had a view and posted it. Op deserves everything bad that happends to him him in eve, but i firmly believe that scamming a scammer also makes you a scammer. Im gonna post with wrong char now, but Silent Silar is my alt, So is Silent Samuel.
What part was interesting? What did that prove? That im somehow related to the op? Youre tinfoil is strong. Is everyone posting on the Character bazaar related to the op? Oh and for the books, the char was not sold. I did a stealth price check.
Edit: There was no second of all

Xabier started a 50bil Bond. Xabier joined Dynasty Bank and got access to 80bil. Xabier got access to other people's ISK from various sources. Xabier said "Thanks for all the fish" Xabier scammed 164bil.

Originally by: Astarte Nosferatu Oh and Viper, scamming/corp theft and all those nice things are perfectly acceptable in a game like EvE. Granted, some people like to take the moral high ground, but we all know the time of honourable knighthood is long extinct.
Perfectly acceptable, yes. A great addition to this game, yes. Would I play EVE if these elements weren't involved, no. Morality has no place in internet spaceships. However, I think things like "MY IPO SCAM" and corptheft(out of anything other than premeditated infiltration) aren't much better than contract spamming in Jita hoping someone buys into your ****. If you want to scam people, make it original or at least difficult enough that not everyone could think of it/pull it off.
EDIT: Hurr wrong account :3

Name cleared then
Not really picking you out of the crowd on purpose, more or less just spring boarding off you as an example that if you (a general you as to everyone out there reading this, scammers included) wanna call down the thunder then you can have it.
Be this a warning to every scammer out there, there are some of us who won't stop at any length to make sure your gaming time in EVE sucks until you decide to let your subscription lapse. |

In my opinion there is no difference between what cosmoray did and what any scammer does. You deceived someone specifically to get their isk. Who that person may or may not be is a moot point.
So yes well done on getting your money back cosmoray, but in doing so it adds you to the list of scammers (in my opinion). |

I'm involved in bigger things than a bull**** bank theft that couldn't even be pulled off properly. Not to mention that my INTERNET EGO wouldn't allow me to not post about it on C&P. |
