lol ... and BoB was going head-to-head with goons? what are you smoking? All Molle and them ever wanted was large-scale ganks and bragging rights, exploiting pets and greedily scooping resources for themselves. So, now they reap what they sow. Good riddance.
This is the end of a dark chapter in 0.0, and you can see from this thread that THE (whole) INTERNET. is celebrating. Glory be.
I will be moving my titan to Aridia sometime tonight, cmon out for a friendly DD.
O. Faeces
I'm not for BoB nor Goons. My point is merely, if you're to take down a giant and brag about it, don't wait for him to die of old age. To have a mythical being go out like this, that's just sad. And whilest all the Goons are "happy-go-jerk-me-off" about this, they actually didn't accomplish anything. If they would have fought for it and won, I would have applauded them for such an epic feat. But this.... nothing... just nothing... Defintely nothing to be celebrated. Not like this.
What do you mean they didn't accomplish anything...spy infiltration is "nothing"? Having BoB break the number one rule of EVE is nothing? Espionage is not nothing. It takes time, trust, and some acting to accomplish. Don't diminish what the goons did just because they took down BoB in a manner that you think is unfit.
They accomplished something that no other alliance that stood against BoB could do.
Should they celebrate this victory? yeah maybe. But BoB only really loses if they don't pick themselves back up and come back. The manner that the Goons "defeated" BoB can be temporary tbh. But right now it's only up to BoB if they lose right now.
BoB is just a name. The core people, skillpoints, and knowledge still exists in EVE. What Goons did was strike a big victory for their side, but not really a "They won EVE" as they said.
Now that's a comment I can relate to. I'm inclined to largely agree. Though it is said, by The Mittani, in the MP3 (lots of commas there), that the director gave him the login of his toon. That's not infiltration, that's getting the front door keys.... gift wrapped. |

So...where in the whole, causing an alliance to fall apart cause our great leaders turned one of their own against them, and dismantle it from the inside, did we not do anything? Just wondering...cause last time I checked that is doing something to cause the fall of our enemy, but hey whatever..not like your alliance/corp played any part in this. |

Goons already have bad karma, I seriously hope they arent planning on recruiting for a while. I also hope that they dont plan on having any new directors ever again.
Some of us won't forget this, and just when you think your safe, Goonswarm will get disbanded as well (unless they somehow fix the mechanic after this mess)
I can see it happening within a year tops, only itll be even more detrimental to goonswarm |

I think a lot of people don't understand what a failure cascade is. The downward spiral was already starting from what I've been hearing. You have to take morale factors into account-- think what a blow like this would mean to a group that was already starting to deteriorate.
Alliances even fall apart when times are good. Part of it has to do with growth and with the difficulty of maintaining a large empire against attack from all sides. Sometimes all it takes is one tiny nudge. A good example is the black swan attack on 9/11, which was a largely symbolic attack but cost the US trillions of dollars and caused a good deal of internal strife.
And what happened last night was utterly crippling. All their work gone in one night. No, they won't come back from this. |

We could lose every piece of space, every single player could stop playing, and we'd still be ahead. Because Goonswarm exists and Band of Brothers, the entity, exist no longer.
Dont know if its killboard.net thats bugged but the recent KM show RKK and BNC back in BoB. Im at work so can anyone confirm this? |

You could have had an actual point there.... Could..., but don't. The director could have contacted a n00b, handed him his login, teach him to disband an alliance and corp and that n00b would have been "the hero of the day". That's exactly what you accomplished, something literally ANYBODY could have done. Well done indeed. |

lmao how do you figure I'm a GBC alt? oh that's right you didn't do any research to back that up and instead just throw assumptions around. I guess that's good enough.
Secondly, notice I said they did accomplish something. I'm not denying that. But I think it's funny that goons are getting mad at one guy saying they didn't accomplish anything. who cares if someone said you didn't? getting touchy about it only proves that you need your e-peens stroked. Not everyone is going to do that. that's my point. That's it. Don't read anymore into it. I've clearly stated it.
Just to re-emphasize: You did a great job Goons. You accomplished something no one else could. But not everyone(in and outside of BoB) likes what you did. |

It was being sold rather than kept because of the drama surrounding its creation. You see, the titan was meant to be Iromei's from what we were told, however Alexi, Yelina, and Iromei were responsible for the funding. They knew we'd not build a titan for Yelina, so they lied to us about who it was for to get it built. The idea was to sell the titan, pay back Alexi and any other non ***got owed money, and use the rest to beef up our warchest.
Instead suas has taken it for himself insisting that Goonfleet owes him 150B isk for items purchased for specops using moon income. Some of you I'm sure will find this hilarious. I myself find it pretty ****ed up that someone who was your friend would **** you over a videogame. I also think if a friend owed me money I might actually discuss it with them before stealing their car, but that's just me.
The account hacking was petitioned. In theory that will get the titan back, but I'm not a GM and can't speak for them. I'll let you know what goes down. Suffice it to say Suas went out like a true ***got, and you'll never see him again. Sorry to anyone he just ****ed over.

This seems less like the Goons actually doing something to topple BoB and more like them having some very good luck and knowing a good opportunity when they see one (disgruntled director in opposing alliance). An director from an enemy alliance getting ****ed off and all of the sudden joining your side isn't infiltration, its the chance of a lifetime. |
