Useful topic :) Certainly let me get my head around things before I dive into the deep end :)
Anyone got any info on cruisers? Thats where im heading next I think after I get my Merlin/kestrel this afternoon. :)

Great post :) here takle my 2 thumbs :)
On a side note , there is a change to Caldari mining ships , the Osprey gives 20% bonus to mining yield per mining gun and you can load 3 miner 2's on it while having another space for missiles/rockets wich makes it a great mining ship.

 if you like the kestrel, you should try flying the Caracel cruiser. It can hold up to 5 launcher systems or 3 launchers and 2 turrets. I use all heavy missiles on mine and kill from a long distance

Thanks a bunch for that. I played the trail and then left the game for a good 2 months once the trail finished. Just last night i got the erge to get my own EVE account and start playing again (gota love the window mode and web browsing at same time on 2 monitors :P )
I was thinking after 20mins of mining "Did i just pay for an account that ill be mining for the next month?" "Should i have goten the account in the first place?"
Reading this makes me just want to skip the rest of work and go home and play. Not only did you give me alot of help but you also renewed my faith in this game. |

This was a great read for me. I downloaded the trial yesterday and was so intrigued by the character creation tools that I spent a whole 2 hours screwing around with it :) before I actually ended up playing the game. To say the least, the game is fantastic but a little overwhelming in its early stages. This guide is a huge help for me in the early going, thanks!
