The issue is more one of instant warping. Even with a covert ops to drop your frigs right on the sniper, and even if the sniper had no WCS to speak of, a ship at full speed, properly alligned, will go to warp far faster than even an interceptor ...

I've had this issue recently also. Best solution I have is has been to log in a different character, same account. Give it a moment on the other char, kill the client, then log in as your main again. Seems to fix the problem 4 out of 5 times right...

One shot wonder warp scrambling mines. More dynamic than bubbles, work better, encourages tactics. Drops like a scan probe then gets quickly (about 30 sec) gets anchored. You have a few seconds to get out of range, then it cloaks and goes active....
