50 ft right now im gonna try to update the Nforce 4 junk and see if i see any sort of difference i have been looking areound the nvidia forums and it would seem the motherboard i have has issues with dropping connections and corrupting data.

it will just hang for about 15-30 secs then disconnect or carry on. It may be the marvell Yukon gigabyte ethernet controller that is on my motherboard but i am not sure. Thx for trying to help!
