This topic came up in discussions during the FW revamp. I am not sure if this is still the case, but the DEVs explained that Navy and Pirate faction ships are technically Tech 1 ships. That is why they could not lock them out of Novice complexes....

On the surface they seem the same. However the "Align" button is more of a general "go there" command until you are right up against your selection/target "Approach" is adjustable... simply right click and set the minimum distance you wish to be...

Apologies... I didn't check the antimatter damage profile in EFT. The Brutix and Deimos fit I have loaded in EFT are both running a single rep. And even with the Antimatter damage profile loaded the numbers are still close (within 50 to 90 dps) ...

Deimos has less raw armor. 90% resistance is meaningless if there isn't enough HP to absorb the incoming damage... especially when the capacitor starts running dry. The Brutix does the exact opposite of this by having lower resistances, but more ...
