EveMon's feature resizes your window to full screen. That means you can't see the taskbar. And can't use multiple clients easily.

I just reposition the window, and title bar only takes about 5 pixels then, no sides to see. But its annoying to do this, so it would be better if there were no edges nor titlebar, but we should be able to move the window somehow. And an option to...

Ships should look polished when not damaged, thats what shield is for. Also after fully repairing, as repairers are supposed to work with nanobots or something. But if ship's armor and/or hull is damaged, then yes, it shouldn't be shining like new.
