Using ewar ships requires that you lock and damp/jam all the enemy before any of them can fire the first volley. Good luck with that.

Yeah, this has basically been the reason for the invention troubles: no players tested it on the test server, because the items were unobtainable, so they tested it on Tranquility and generally got upset at losing billions.

It's a ship that enables people with less than 6m SP in gunnery to participate in fleet fights at >150km, and as such it's a very good idea. Fit named T1 rails and a rack of mag stabs.

The ability to set your skills to any level (including 0) on the test server would be much more useful and probably simpler to code. It would also enable people to find out how well things worked before investing training time in them.
