Ah Doctor, it doesn't work quite like that. You see the act of posting with an alt is an admission of failure. The person doing it knows that. They see that failure etched on the lines of their face when they look in the mirror in the morning - in the eyes of their girlfiends mixed and mingled with the disappointment and disillusionment at things that were not to be.

To inspire an enemy to conjure alts to shout at you is to win. When a single post from a heroic individualist poster can cause a wave of barely-literate snuffling grunts and meme-coughing in response that victory is secured.

This brain goon knows his stuff Sir, he knows that victory for the hive comes when all dissenting voices are stilled and cultural dominance is assured and his tools in this conflict are alts and nonsense and poorly-briefed drones of course - but ignoring all the swarm is the wrong approach.

Pick and choose Sir! Duck and weave and select your moment carefully. Kill one here and there, execute an ego with precision and decapitate a fallacy with a swift backhand cut and then retire to a safe distance to watch the amusing results.

The rank and file can only burble repetitive groans and clanking unwieldy internet terms barely capable of shielding their weak bodies from attack.

But as the hive grows restive and aroused it will eventually summon the big beasts from the depths and those are the vulnerable targets - the end of level bad guys if you will. Irritate the drones with debate and eventually you'll summon a mittani or a darius and thats where you need to be shooting.

Well mr Mendel, I'm impressed that you've been entrusted with the collective opinions of well everyone that must be quite a responsibility on your shoulders!

But forum-wars, like politics, like campaigns and military stunts really give no points for integrity in debate. Winning is what counts old chap. And as I've explained to the goons in the posts above what counts is persuading people not neccessarily being right (or getting them to burst into tears of virtual angst of course) thats effective too in its own way.

1. Mindlessly quoting tired internet memes = auto lose.

Its not an acceptable replacement for actual debate you see. Somebody asks you a question, critiques your reasoning, challenges your assumptions and positions etc etc. It just doesn't fly if you look confused and scared and croak out last years 4chan memes like some kind of lame secret code.

You aren't 10 any more Mittani. You're a notorious internet spymaster and if people ask you direct questions you don't get to fall back on spurious internet nonsense to excuse your ignorance on gameplay or political issues of the day.
