Well depends where u installed it the first time... but just use search on ur comp and search for "eve" if u have the game there then u know... if u dont... then u gotta get your hands on a premium lite (instead of classic client since classic client is now removed) or the premium client.

Just finished the first patch... (75883-84244) no problems at all and ran smoothly at 500kb/s from the point at 63% downloaded going for the smaller patch now

True. Now I know that most people probably have their HDDs partitioned as one huge a*s C: drive, those won't get this error (unless they stuffed it with data like crazy)... but still, I have difficulties understanding how this issue could escape their notice.

If you want 'manually' patch then this link will download the 1.35GB standalone patch file which can then be reused over and over, usefull if you have multiple machines to patch.
http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/evepremiumpatch75883-84244_m.exe
This is not the autoloader, that link is:
http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/evepremiumpatch75883-84244.exe
Spot the difference....
Hope this helps....

I have yet to see any significant piece of software that does not require admin on install. This is no mere patch, but a major release. I am glad that it installations require admin, since that enables me to control what gets installed on my PCs. So once in a while I wave my magic admin wand and install something. No big deal ..
I have played eve for 3+ years without my "magic admin wand". It should not be needed.

OKAY!!! i manually installed it from the beginning of this thread, it downloaded in like 30 seconds, but i am really dumb ok? so i need step by step instructions on how to do this, like where to extract bulkdata and if i need to reinstall the whole game over again, it would be really helpful

Originally by: CCP Wrangler For those of you who have trouble downloading the bulk data when your client connects to Tranquility:
- Download this file containing the bulk data.
- Open your EVE Online install folder (TQ version).
- Extract the enclosed directory (the downloaded zip file) into your install directory.
This will add 38 files inside a folder called bulkdata to your EVE Online install.
ok so i followed this. then what do i do?
do i then just do the auto patch and wait again?

Fortunately, I didn't have any problems getting the download to start, but after reading through 12 pages of these complaints and finding 0 replies by CCP is a bit disturbing. I understand you guys are busy, but surely you can find some lowly employee that can spare 5 min to at least post that you guys are looking into our problems? Is it so much to ask for a little reassurance from you?

For all those still having issues.
Right click on the exe that downloads the actuall download, go to propertys then at the bottom click the "un-block" button then apply, then ok, and there you go. All issues now fixed :)
EXE name in question: evepremiumpatch75883-84244
so now that its unblocked what do i do.... sorry for being clueless
run the exe --------------------------------------------

Maybe they were too convinced that everything would be fine and just left the trainee alone with the servers... and upon seeing the disaster he hanged himself with a patch cable.

Edited by: wolfboy123 on 10/03/2009 21:19:37 ok im getting sick of these ppl asking bout the bulk data file's:
1:you dont need those until you get the patches downloaded if you can get them downloaded ofc 2:the pacthes for the premium - premium lite can be found here: http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1018537 .......... as for if you have the classic client atm then you need to download the full client either from the downloader on the web site or try this link like me and a few others seem to be doing (speed seems to have slowed down from 100-500kbps to 100-200kbps): games.on.net/file/24873/EVE_Online_Apocrypha_Premium_Client 3:you might not even need the bulk data file's after downloading the patches and installing if you can't log on then you need them if you can log on then you dont does this help?? ccp can i have a job as one of your forum helpers? seems your few on them?

If your download was already running for a bit, just spam the "repeat" button. Maybe (!) you also have to activate your background transfer service, if it's not running (services.msc and search for that service in the list).

Ok risking of posting the same stuff someone else posted since I realy don't have the patience to go thru 12 pages. I UPDATED, at least tried it on 2 boxes, both Windoze, one Vista the other XP... no problem downloading bulk data, mind you only on DSL, so it took 1h+, but hey better than dial-up the first error I didn't catch, only that there was one and to try and dl patch manually which I did on the Vista box, no luck this time I watched the darn thing, dled alright, verified the download and then goes thru the first 3% then I get an extraction error... so well silly me with all this time on my hand uninstalls the damn thing and downloads the entire build and to no surprise really THE SAME THING HAPPENS AGAIN.... well almost supper time here now, by the time I m done the damn thing should have dled again.... where the F*** does it store the file.... just in case it does work, I don't care having to download it 3 times, just because I won't be able to run 2 clients on the notebook anymore and I really don't feel like spending $2000+ to buy a notebook that can handle EVE in premium graphics even if they are called lite now....
