OK. Now it worked and I have tested twice with subsequent logins. All is stable. Still too many lost segments and the previous post's identified IP address still fails at the same point.
Didn't do anything special, just kept on logging in with the 37/39 failure at bulk data download until finally it succeeded in getting the last two.
Once you have them you are ok - it doesn't try and get them again on subsequent logins.

Same thing for me. I downloaded the large patch last night, it extracted and started the game. No problem with the bulk data download at that time, and I could play after this. Tried the skill queue editor, nice work.
Today, though, the bulk data download stopped at 37/39 and did not progress any further. Same thing after downloading the file the OP mentioned and extracting it, it was still waiting at 37/39. I let the PC do its thing for a few minutes, and suddenly it progressed and I could enter. Maybe the bulk download is just jamming when too many people try to do it at the same time.
I've got the same problem. Yesterday I was able to play after I manualy instaled Bulkdata.zip , today I've got problem that is metioned above, and nothing helps me to start the game.

Initally got to 32/39...downloaded the prescribed 2.1meg file, and now i get to 37/39....Worst patch in 4 years of playing.

Well, after reading this thread I guess the good news is that, I am not alone with the problem. Downloaded four times at a turtle pace and then, while verifying download, got the same message three times that the download was corrupted. Not surprising considering the poor speed of the download. Frankly, I playing this game at $15,00 US bucks a month particularly cheap and I dont think that I should have to do all of this technical stuff to get the game running. My gut level reaction is that the company wants you to go out and use your hard earned money to buy the boxed version.

Don't do this if you don't know what you are doing. 8-)
3)You had the classic client: There are mixed statements about whether the classic client can be upgraded or not. Some say yes, some say no...I'm wondering if some of those yes's are players who actually had the premium client but had it set to classic mode. But whatever, if you get stuck then simply unintall eve and download/install the new client. You might save alot of frustration and time by starting over.
4)Installer won't work, tried everything: Alot of these complaints seemed to be posted right after the downtime. When I tried patching, there was only the "installer method" available. But about 12 hours later when I got home from work, it seems ccp decided to offer the straight whole client for download (for installing without an installer program) on one of their trouble pages. This is what I used, since I did not want to have to resize my c: drive to make the installer method work. Which file is this you ask? Its the one that has a _m (underscore M) in its name, right after the version number. But be aware that this download does indeed use TEMP has a temporary holding area for the raw download data so if TEMP is on a c: drive that is too small, it will fail. Also, after the download is done and you run it, it uses TEMP as a temporary area during the unpacking process.
4)I can't run premium, what do I do?: Well I can't run premium on two of my computers either. There is only one client download and it seems to figure out what you need all by itself. It properly installed Lite on my older computers.
5)Do I need the bulkdata file?: The bulkdata file is what the installer would download after you clicked on the installer icon. I guess the thinking was that if the installer was having trouble with downloading it then ccp would offer to let you download it yourself manually. I dunno how useful that was, cause if the installer can't download due to slow internet or a small c: drive, then trying to do it manually won't work either. /shrugs
6)Where is ccp? They are ignoring us.: Umm, I doubt that. They can only help so many people at a time. The rest will have to wait in line. Just like at the grocery store.

Replaced my bulkdata file by installing to Tranq folder. CCP\EVE , that is was all. it overrided them and ran Tranq client for kicks. (Sisi is out of date now also)
DETECTED that it should autopatch me!! Began patching 300kbs/sec 1.39 GB, 1hr 10mins.
FUUUU***KK YYYYEEEEEAAAHHHHH!
This is what I get for expecting CCP would completely botch this as usual...I'm very sorry, CCP.

i downloaded the new patch and find that now to play the game i have to buy a new vidio card - i'm on a fixed income and disabled - i can't buy new hardware everytime a patch is put in - i paid for three months of eve and now can't play it - that is so wrong- have been happy and able to forget the real world for a year - but now i can just lay in bed and staere at the walls- please make it so we can play - or all is lost - i love the game and it is the only thing that i play - it is easy to get to normally - i know nothing about computers so how can i fix this or how can you help - i need to have something to keep mind active - hope you all at ccp can fix - th

Ok, this its getting ridicoulus. Im sorry my english its not good, but i need more than help here,firstable im not good with computers ansd second im going crazy with this stupid downloading thing. Im playing EVE for like a year and half and this is the firs time i have problems. I dont see no problems when they charge me from my credit card every month, that's more than automatic, now can somebody in spanish explain to me what its going on. I cant be 10 hours downloading the patch to play 2 or 3 hours at day.

I am stuck at acquiring bulk data 37/39. The client stays this way for 9-10 minutes until it losses connection, and restarts the client (probably times out with the server). I've tried logging in this way 4 times so far. I have the bulk data folder entered, have cleaned my cache using the client, and by renaming the cache file manually.

First off - the dip 19)8)9)20 who said that those of us who don't have awesome PCs or something to that effect - should be shot and if he survives he should be shot over and over again until his pod ends up in a station somewhere. If ccp could come out and just explain what the 6)21)3)11 needs to be done to log on without having dip 19)8)9)20)19 like the aforementioned idiot telling us to go out and pour our wallets into expensive PCs instead of our mortgages or other bills, than we might stop 2)9)20)3)8)9)14)7 about the long list of reasons why we can't connect. Some of us connected just fine after the download yesterday, so our PCs have jack 19)8)9)20 to do with the current bulk data issue. 18)5)20)1)18)4 (whoever u are) I hope he gets permanently stuck in wormhole space!!!

Hey guys...can any one help me with the download manager...i tried dowloading 4 times with in game download manager(CCP download manager), but no joy...i have DAP, but it did not take the client download file...been trying for 3 days..any help will be good..

I have been doing what someone did, to keep trying to download it while it is on 37/39. I can quite annoyingly say that I have been trying for 6 hours.
I have tried a fresh install. I have got the .exe manually and also used the terrible eve client downloader,
I actually used the 24 hour skillplanner yesterday, set it up to do all my little skills as I don't get to play that much and now it has been training nothing for the past 10 hours. As it didn't work this morning I tried the bulkdata upgrade, which only changed it from 32/39 to 37/39.
Maybe it would just be easier if ccp allowed bulkdata to be downloaded manually, even letting us know someone in some small dark basement in a cold courner of the world is trying to fix this. |

WTH ccp you totally messed up. My netbook ran eve classic fine, but now that its only prem... I just wasted 20$. I am shipping in less than 2 months, and I just wanted to sit back and play a fun game, not waste my VERY limited time and money on something that is only going to frustrate me. I have downloaded the patch, and the full client install 3 times now each. Spent nearly 2 days trying to fix this problem. And even on my work computer, I am stuck at login screen with 37/39 bulk. EVEN AFTER THE PRESCRIBED FIX. Please just help me, I sent in an email nearly 5 hours ago. 24/7 email support? What happened to it? ANYONE WHO IS PLAYING EVE. well , first of all , i play from INDIA. i have a 128 kbps ADSL connect and usual d/l speeds are upto 15 KBps thru direct downloaders and upto 19 KBps thru torrent . > i am not complaining about speeds as this what i have and what i can afford ! what i am trying to convey here is the total unreliability of CCP.
here is the sequence of events that happened to me ( all times are in IST - Indian Standard Time { + 5.30 hrs GMT } as i have no patience to convert it to gmt for ccp > do it yourself ) 1. ) i first started the client patching through the auto updater that starts when we start the client at about 6 pm (18.00) on 10. march - this was for the 1390 MB patch (1 of 3 patches from 75883 ) said it would take 27 hrs so , i just switched off screen and went about real life. the next day ( 11 . march ), there was a powercut and when i restarted my pc , the 800 mb i had downloaded till then had disappeared , although there were re[orts that the autopatcher will resume from where we had left off < a lie !!!
2. ) so , on 11 . march , after the powercut , i decided to manually download the enite client from the website. and what do i end up with ? the old QR 75883 EXE FILE . as i didn't have any choice , i started downloading the same client i used to have ( i had to uninstall the previous client as the autopatcher messed up the client after the powercut ) at about 2 pm (14.00 ) india time .
while the d/l was going on , i kept checking the download page for latest build and also the forums for any clue and saw that many were in the same boat.
3. ) then at about 1 am (01.00 india time) on 12. march , when i checked the download page , i saw that a 84244.exe was available . so , i cancelled the 75883.exe i was downloading and started on the 84244 build , but it was only a 1400 KB file and to my horror , i found that it was the annoying direct downloader ( nullsoft v 2.44 ) which started up and started downloading files into my C:/ drive . i got so furious at this , that i pressed the cancel option and got a " download manually " option in that downloader window. when i click on it , i am taken to , http://www.eveonline.com/download/?fallback=1 where i see a 84244_m.exe file. so , i start this and to my relief , i FINALLY GET THE MANUAL VERSION OF THE LATEST FULL BUILD that gives me the option to pause & resume as i like . so , currently downloading the client , although slow - slow in relative terms > 12 KBps as compared to a normal speed of 15 KBps - still about 24 hours to go but atleast i have total control over the download and it wont disappear when i have a powercut and it bludy won't place files in my c drive !!!
NOW COMING TO MY POINT ( CAPS INTENTIONAL ) , I HAVE NO QUALMS ABOUT THE SPEED AS IT DEPENDS ON MY BANDWIDTH BUT WHAT ABOUT THE PATH ? WHY COULDN'T YOU JUST MAKE THE FULL FINAL CLIENT AVAILABLE ON UR WEBSITE AND GIVE CLEAR LINKS TO PEOPLE WHO WANT TO EITHER DOWNLOAD MAUNUALLY OR THRU THE AUTOUPDATER ? ccp , WHO ARE YOU TO FORCE ME TO PLACE FILES ON MY C DRIVE ? THAT DRIVE IS ONLY FOR THE OS . YOUR USELESS AUTOUPDATER DOESN'T AUTOSAVE AND PLACES EVERYTING IN THE /TEMP FOLDER AND EVERYTHING IS LOST IN THE EVENT OF A POWERCUT .
CAN'T U ATLEAST SEED A TORRENT IN THE NORMAL WAY ? YOUR SO CALLED TORRENT DOWNLOADER IS A JOKE - THE BLUDY THING IS JUST ANOTHER MASKED DIRECT DOWNLOADER. ALL U HAVE TO DO IS JUST START WITH 1 SEED , YES , JUST 1 SEED - THE PLAYERS WILL TAKE CARE OF THE PEER TRAFFIC . IN THIS DAY AND AGE , U BEHAVE IN SUCH A WAY. AND WILL , U COMPENSATE ME FOR THE DAYS I HAVE LOST ? NO , U WONT COS U ARE GREEDY !!! - WITH NO PRACTICAL APPROACH .
AND COMING TO YOUR WEBSITE , IT IS SO ARCHAIC , THE LEFT NAVIGATION BAR SHOULD BE STATIC AND NOT BLUDY DOWNLOAD EACH TIME WE CLICK A LINK AND WHAT'S WITH ALL THE STUPIDD FLASH ON THE RIGHT HABD SIDE ? compared to your standards , many korean mmo's ( not mentioning any names ) are more competent and atleast their patching & downloading options are smooth ( i hate korean games but sadly they do a better job than you - and they introduce patches every week or fortnight and each is like at 200 MB and they have way more players than eve !!! )
so , in short , YOU CCP ARE TOTALLY INCOMPETENT !!!

I also had the problem of being unable to have bulk data 38-39. I renamed the bulkdata folder as bulkdatacopy. I launched the game The game loaded the bulkdata (slowly) Now I am playing
