Hello,

And before anyone asks, this is my main. I have just recently become engrossed with the depth of Eve.

But for game history sake, can someone please give me a breakdown, from both sides, why the war?

Same for the SA and CA conflict.

I don't want it to end or anything, I just love the history.

The Ca and Sa conflict is indeed the Southern Conflict. It initially started off as the CA vs SA war however it's recently become the FA/SA/CFS/XETIC/RANDOM WANNABEPWNERS vs CA war.

This hopefully wont turn into a flame fest, hope people will appreciate that we all have different opinions. Thus our opinions and accounts of whats gone on will DIFFER.

Children won't be able to handle this, other children will abuse this, those that KNOW whats gone on can overlook this however how are you going to be able to tell the difference between someone who's giving you an accurate account and someone who's saying what their corp mate said on ts that roughly translates to "OMG THEY NEVER OWNED US <EXCUSE> WE OWNED THEM REALLY!!12oneonetwotwoasl". So yea, all i'm saying is it's complicated, quite interesting but a very touchy subject.

Do enjoy :).

Your best bet is to take 4-5days and read everything written here in this section of the forum and then come to your own conclusion. Then take that conclusion and only believe about half of it. Take the half you didnt believe, spin it 180 degrees, and you will have the shinning truth of reality.

The above does not apply to anything written by myself. You can believe all of that.

I know its a big investment, but well worth it. Wink

Read all forums and ignore everything not posted by Rod Blaine.

Now cut and paste the whole text written by me into one big post. Once you find out how to make sense of any of that you've got the meaning of life.

Not like that is what you needed to know but still, it'll be nice.

SA started out in 0.0 first. In Stain region.

The operated on a closed boreder basis from the start (iirc).
Curse Alliance emerged later out of several piratte corporations and took up residence in the Curse region, the only other region with many stations.

then we get a period of some civil wars and other rebel activity in curse region before CA emerges as a new and improved (non-pirate) alliance.

In the mean time SA and CA are at war from the start over the whole piracy thing, altho the real reason always was to have fun for most of em. Anyway, SA was maybe a bit stronghish untill Castor broke loose and CA got some good ore as well, SA lost most of the really accesible ore and found itself in a less suited region then Curse.

Alot of bickering later some SA corps joined CA over some internal strife, CA (with addition of C4 alliance) brought SA close to collapse but SA seems to have bounded back officially now.

So now we are here, and everyone is still frighting.

Oh and FA and CFS and Xetic (all started later), joined thye crusade against CA at different times, again mostly to have fun and to stifle the overt agreesive stance CA projects outward.

Short, sweet but not very complete.
