today i found a hisec k162 into a seemingly empty C2 with about a dozen anoms. once i got my drake and noctis in there i cloaked the noctis at the exit and warped to a random site. when i arrived on grid i had to facepalm hard, because i had been too lazy to dscan and there were a drake, cane and cyclone already rounding up the second wave. i panic warped to some random planet but as i aligned, i noticed that they were aligning, too. none of them were locking me so i hit the brake and watched them leave. sure enough, they had all three **** their pants and warped straight to the exit and jumped out. fittingly, my drake is called honeybadger so i did about half a dozen sites while watching the exit, then jumped back out because the wh timer was about to run out.

A few idiots decided to setup a POS in an alliance mates C1. We of course sieged their POS. One the of them decided to make a run for the wormhole. In a Cheetah full of sleeper loot. Smart move right? Not when the ship lacks a cloak, and not when there are onyx on the field of battle. Not to mention he warps directily from the POS. Of course he got caught in my fleet mate's bubble, and then discovered I was sitting cloaked directly in line with the POS. Leaving him caught in 2 perfectly over lapping bubbles. The kicker is the guy's fit. http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=12200864
Yes that is Cheetah fit with a codebreaker, analyzer, salvager, and a gas harvester, but no cloak.... |

If you bring:
*) Purifier *) Nemesis *) Dramiel *) Tengu *) Onyx *) Drake *) Proteus
to kill a PVE fit Drake running C1 sigs (admittedly, it was tanked for running C3s...). Please make sure to:
0) Not have your Onyx light up a bubble (no doubt hoping to catch my pod for a kill). 1) Not lose the purifier to drones and HMLs. 2) Not lose the nemesis to drones, HMLs and your own bomb () 3) Not bring your dramiel (when did you think this was a good idea to begin with?) into small neut range, get caught in the Onyx's bubble and subsequently not only lose your poorly fit Dram, but also get podded and lose some juicy implants. 4) Not bring a Proteus (also into bubble range), then get caught on a structure and almost get popped because you can't warp away before getting into structure. 5) Not wait almost 45 mins before deciding you've lost enough ships/ISK/time and leave the benign drake to go its own way - 2 drones and a few thousand scourge rounds lighter. 6) Bring something with some DPS that won't die when the drake farts at it.
* I admit to derping as well. I'd been taking meds for a cold and was only half-thinking when I decided to run sigs while waiting for meds to kick in again. Bad idea. Really - bad - idea.

I had scouted out a C3 that was occupied by a German corp, so they were in the same time zone as me (Italy), and I sat cloaked at their POS watching them log in. The rest of my corp mates set up a trap -ratting bait Prophesy was obvious, but they bit anyway. So as I'm watching the Germans warp to the trap one of them must have gotten close to me cause I decloak, but I didn't realize it until after the tower's defenses had locked me down (too busy relaying target intel to the fleet). So we end up trading a Prophesy and a Purifier (my stealth bomber) for a Loki and his POD. Mental note to self: Next time cloak above or below the POS and not "level" with it. Still kicking myself... something similar happened to me recently. i wanted to finish an escalation in lowsec but the locals decided that i shouldn't. so I warped to the gate @50 and sat there trash-talking when suddenly my cloak went off, presumably because one of them warped to the gate from the same planet i came from. long story short: do not sit around cloaked between two warp targets when there are reds looking for you. |

1. We catch a tengu ratting in a C1 and he ejects when he sees that we're incoming with an onyx. Lucky for us everyone turns off their guns in time and we now have a slightly used tengu in our possession. We leave save for a scout and wait. Sure enough the guy comes back in a noctis and we ambush him. He ejects again and now we have a used noctis. I ask in local if he has any more ships to give us and he proceeds to intentionally fly 3 more ships to the site and just ejects to leave them. None of those ships were as nice as the tengu (and judging by the offline systems I think they were corp mates and not his own) but we were astonished and happy regardless.
2. We have an unscannable (pre-nerf) crucifier alt in system for this alliance we're messing with. After a few days and about 30 attempts to probe the crucifier down they get used to it and go mining so we blow up some barges with the manticore alt we've also had in there. Their response is to place enough guards in their mining op to make it very risky for the manticore to go on another torp run. They also deploy a T2 large bubble on the HS entrance to delay any reinforcements we might consider bringing.
We warp the crucifier alt to the bubbled HS and after a long burn jump him out. All of the guards follow and sit on the HS, deep inside the bubble. The mining ships keep mining. Crucifier alt waits out his 5 minutes and jumps back in so all attention is on the WH while the manticore decloaks and starts popping barges. As most of the barges are 2-boxed the guards don't even realize what's going on till its too late and their own T2 large bubble prevents them from warping to save their remaining barge. |

Bait
The plan was simple: 2Pac would go into the GÇ£hostileGÇ¥ W space system and act like a newb running one of their combat sites. As soon as the GÇ£enemyGÇ¥ pounced on him weGÇÖd all come warping to the rescue. What could possibly go wrong?
So we sat one jump out from the system that has a worm hole to the enemyGÇÖs Class 3 space, chatting about nothing in particular and occasionally announcing GÇ£new promo on Blink!GÇ¥ while 2Pac shoots Sleepers when our trap was sprung. A Tengu had warped on grid with him and the order was given:
GÇ£Jump, jump, jump!GÇ¥
As the grid loaded we could see another enemy corp member in local, a pilot who was in and out of the high sec system repeatedly, and at about the same time 2Pac said GÇ£HeGÇÖs just target painting me!?GÇ¥. Seems they took our bait only to see what weGÇÖd do, and now the element of surprise was completely lost. Then, in the high sec local chat channelGǪ
Labirat > btw .. sleeper pve .. what kinda name is that for a bait ship? .. does that actually work?
*sigh*

Not long ago one of my corp mates finds an offline pos in a c2 that is 5 wormholes down the chain. Crapton of modules online in the pos including a few CHAs and SMAs and some assembly arrays and some refining arrays.
We bat phone the guys playing terra (lol) and all pretty much dual box BCs into the hole and get ready for a pinata. We pop the first SMA... and a pheonix pops out. Pop the second and a bunch of t2 cruisers, battlecruisers, and an orca pops out. So by this time we are pretty hysterical as we are laughing our asses off. We pop the last two SMAs and ******* fall out of our chairs as a rorq and a chim pop out.
So I pop my alt in the orca and try to scoop my harby from my alt. It says there isnt enough room. I look in the SMA in the orca and see a hulk...
So we take tally of everything and someone opens the last can and just starts busting out laughing. The guy had over 10k blocks of minmatar fuel in his CHAs.
Unfortunately, because the pheonix, rorq, and chim came form a SMA we didnt get kill mails when we killed them. (none of the caldari cap pilots were online.)
Another fun one was when we had our tengu gang running sites in static. There was an active pos inside, but the members were offline. We were on site 2 of 15 when we noticed a nidhoggur on Dscan. So we GTFO and get scouts in. Scout at pos notices that the nid jumps into a probey loki. We order the noctis to go to site one and start tractoring the wrecks in. Not salvaging in case the loki gets lucky.
Sabre is cloaked up in site, 5k off of noctis and our fleet is waiting on other side of wormhole. Loki warps in, sabre uncloaks and pops bubble and we get our free kill. Halfway through the kill we hear. "Thanatos and Nidhoggur just warped out of pos." Two carriers warped into the site to ***** on a noctis kill.
kb.hard-knocks.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=1437
Seeing as we only had a few members online and just enough to kill these two carriers, I refit my bhaal for all neuts and warp back in to site and start to go to work.
Two more carriers warp into the site as our own corp members keep trickling in from playing terra. Now we have 2 guardians, two or three armor t3s, one all neut bhaalghorn, and a few dps BCs and BSes against 4 carriers. As we all start to realize that we cant handle this fleet, batphones are lit all over our corp. 3 more bhaalghorns log in, 2 more BS and a large number of T3s log in.
We managed to kill two of the carriers, one was able to get away because we were bumping him out so we only had to worry about neuting three and the only point on him DCed. The fourth self destructed when he was in high armor.
kb.hard-knocks.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=1435 kb.hard-knocks.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=1433
(KM links changed to text as they arent linking correctly)
It was only after the battle was over did we realize that these guys were fail fit and how bad they were.

If you're going to take on 3 RR Tengus and an Ishkur while dualboxing, make sure you have a Proper Plan and don't just charge on in, even if they're PVE fit.
If you do just charge in, try not to warp your BS into your own anchored bubble.

Lets see.... A newb player that obviously bought a highly skilled account, coming into our wormhole, uncloaked in a covert ops ship, sitting at the sun, scanning.... You can guess what happened to him.
And our biggest WH mess-up was when we where doing sleeper sites in our C4, with no scouts and lazy d-scan, while we had 3 open wormholes, using 2 battleships supported by a thanatos... We got dropped by a 20 man fleet of t3 cruisers, t2 cruisers, and battlecruisers shortly after... The battleships where popped fast, but the thanatos put up a brave fight for over 5 minutes... |

Only heard third hand but I thought it was cute:
Active wh corp cannot believe their eyes as a few hulks enter their wh system and proceed to a grav belt and proceed to mine the roids there. So the hulks are pounced upon and tackled. Hulks are told to continue mining and they won't be destroyed.
After a period of time that I do not know, the hulks are released but paid for the ore they mined.
I lol'd hard hearing that story.

I remember running across a japanese mining fleet once. We scanned down a safe spot they had, only 400 km away from their pos, and a grab belt with a hulk and iteron and moa. We pounced on the hulk first while a bubbled warped to the safe spot and bubbled up. Hulk went down and got podded, but the iteron was too far off to point. So we bounced to the safe and the mos lands. It recieves a quick trip to high sec. We then bounce back to the iteron and its just sitting there. We end it and take a full load of ark from it.
We tried ransoming them, but the guy only spoke Japanese. Ah well, maybe next time. |
