I'm still having fun playing this game, and as long as I do, I will feel more than free to express my opinions on many things concerning EVE, including the black mark on its playersbase known as greifers, PK'ers, "pirates"...
I do have a clue, a pretty good one when in comes to players the likes of you... ------------------------------------------------ "for piece sakes!" |

I just try and sit down and have a little fun with EVE now & again, and try to avoid your kind...
Pirates, PK'ers, whatever... Can try to substantiate their existence in EVE any way they like. Chances are, I'm not gonna buy it, and will see right through it... You can't fool me... Your EVE colleagues are typically going to come from the socially inept class in RL, and those RL deficiencies manifest themselves in games such as EVE as PK'ing and the like as a big green neon sign... Very easy to spot.
I watch people type in the chat channels... Where else???
You sir have just proved to everyone what an arse you really are.
Your assumptions are flawed. Your attitude leaves a lot to be desired. All in all I'd have to say you're a fool.
How you can assume an entire playing class (that is advertised on the box) are a bunch of inbred hillbillies is really beyond my comprehension.
I've got an idea for your small little brain to try and grasp, see if you like it...
1) Force all ships to have all their high slots filled with mining lasers. 2) Change all sec status's of systems to 1.0 3) Remove all fun and unpredictability from the game 4) Call it Bhall-Online: The first Numptie
and for your information my colleagues in game are my real life drinking partners.
Thank you. Good night and IBTL

Actually, I have many ideas for this game, none of which are as absurd as the ones you've listed here... You're just trying to be a smart ass, and you're not very good at it
"and for your information my colleagues in game are my real life drinking partners"
How is this supposed to impress me? Because you go out drinking with them, does not elevate them out of the greifer status... I guess I don't understand the point you're trying to make here... ------------------------------------------------ "for piece sakes!"

Edited by: Purvy on 26/08/2004 11:54:02 see heres the thing, you were in 0.0 in both of those cases here where you have been killed, and i could be wrong but 0.0 was put in to be lawless. So you are complaining that you went into a lawless area and got killed. i mean i could under stand if you got killed sitting in 1.0, which used to be the case early on in the game. but in 0.0 anything goes, my wife has only been playing for 4 days and even she knows not to go into anyplace 0.4 or below yet. and she is a complete noob, i got home yesterday and she was trying to figure out why she couldn't fit a mwd skill on her ship

You sir are an imbecile. People who pk occasionaly, such as myself come from all walks of life. I pirate cos I was bored of life in a manufacturing corp, and decided to go and try ransom people.
I am not from one of the socially inept classes, i have no real life deficiencies and i lead a very happy life. So tell me Mr Good judge of character, why am I pirating?
EVE is a roleplaying game, and even if u dont roleplay as such you still are something completely different than in Real life. I dont go about breaking the law in Real life, as im sure you dont. Now when i bought EVE i decided to be good. Then a couple of months ago i decided to be bad. It says I could on the box. Piracy is supported by CCP.
Dont be such a moron and just accept that some people are willing to kill other players for the chance of possible profit and for the chance to become infamous. Yes some people will abuse game mechanics but guess what, i bet if they could miners etc would do the same. However its probabaly cos this game is based around pvp that you only see exploits/cheats etc comin from the pvpers

As for impressing you I'd rather lick my own armpit. Mr I've got a blonde GF with big norks...(wtf was that in aid of?)
here we go with the simple yet large fact
PIRATES ARE NOT GRIEFERS
Pirate is a class advertised on the game box if thats too tough for you and you don't like it then don't do it. But to expect other ppl to modify their playing style to suit your random thought process is absurd and wrong.
Stay in 1.0 if you dont wanna be shot by ebil pimpleys

Well I am a 28 year old man with a management position working for the government. I have a very strong relationship with my girlfriend. I play/sleep as far from the basement as I can as my PC is on the 3rd floor of my house. Spots I don't have but I would gank your shuttle and your pod without a second thought because I like to blow stuff up.
The reason I pirate is similiar to Vel.
I was in a manufacturing corp, I then moved to a merc corp. Now due RL issues I have little time to play. Hence I see more combat playing a pirate as I can now attack any ship I choose, unlike before when only certain other players were valid targets.

Jeez. I'm a carebear miner (so far) and *I* want to PK your ass after hearing this drivel.
Why do you play a game that has a blatant PvP element to it if you're going to act like this when you get killed?
If you were to examine my life and the people in it, I think you'd find it blows your "statistical model" right out of space. And I'm on my way to learning how to be a pirate
Why? Because it sounds fun, that's why! Why is it that when someone gets ganked in low sec space, they scream about how pirates are "griefing" them, or "hindering their playstyle"? Why should *your* playstyle supercede the pirate's play style? Are you not both paying the same monthly fee? There's an easy solution, you know... Stay out of low sec space.
I'm a total Eve noob, and even I know that much.
