They kill ppl and get their satifaction from the death of someone else. how is it fun to sit at a gate for hours and hours and ambush ppl who cannot fight you back? I was playing my 3 day old alt and I was in a shuttle. Shuttle have no weapons, no nothing that you could profit from. WHy attack me? I would like any rat to explain why they consider this fun. Im just curious.

But it does say something about your level of respect for other people when it comse to certain things. But of course it is a game, so i guess it all depends on how important the game is to the person killing/getting killed! Oh.. and sitting at the gate for hours. im still trying to figure that one out. i spent 2 days observing this. just flew around in a frigate in some 0.0 choke point, while the same pirates camped a gate for hours on end each day.. and i saw them get 1-3 guys withing the 24 hour period, and then another 1 or 2 the next day. to me, that seems like a big waste of time. its not like they earn much money, or even good mods from killing 4 month old playerse wtih cruisers or something.. lol. But i gota say, its funny when you see pirates come on the forums saying "omg carebaers love eve, its such a mining sim" or something along those lines.. when they (a good portion atleast) just sit at a gate for hours on end not actualy doing anything. One type typically flew the Black flag, and the other type typically flew the Red flag. One flag meant that if you surrendered, your ship would be looted, and you would live. The other flag meant that you were going to either have to kill them, or die trying. Though, I strongly suspect you were that shuttle pilot trying to instajump your way into Curse space, that got Smartbombed to death not to long ago. That requires a touch more preperation than some random newb wandering into a warzone typically has avaliable to them. What, you're suprised we don't like saboteurs entering our space? I do ransoming, i kill, i do what i want.... this is what pirats do, and if i see a lone schuttle that fly around and i can get it..... i kill it.... many bpo¦s and zydrin as well as Mega are carryed by 3 day old Alt¦s in a schuttle or frig... so why not ? Althought we do blow ppl up if either: A) Things go a bit wrong (ie we are a bit drunk) B) We cant be bothered (ie we are a bit drunk) C) They dont pay (we are probably a bit drunk anyway) Also we dont gate camp we hunt down our "customers" (poor defencless carebears who think low sec empire is safe). Piccilo	Posted - 2004.08.26 09:44:00 - [29] how can u say its unprofitable? i managed to catch a claw today and blow him to bits, a small sec can popped out which i managed to grab before 4 more enemies started to lock me. in the can was 5k of zyd and 1.5k of mega, thats a good 30-35 mil, which pays for 5 or so maledictions even if u dont insure them.... as for shuttles- why let someone through? besides the pleasant sound of the egg popping who knows what plans they have....

I was playing my 3 day old alt and I was in a shuttle. Shuttle have no weapons, no nothing that you could profit from. WHy attack me? I would like any rat to explain why they consider this fun. Im just curious. There are many player pirates that do this to others. I once had a character (not this one) that got shot down in a rookie ship and he was only 20minutes old... not even enough time to train a skill. I roleplay... there is this computer game called "Earth - The First Genesis" where i play a character in the early 21st century.

They can pirate anywhere they want including next to concord in 0.8. They have uber modules, webbed at 25km anyone? and they dont drop em when you shoot em. They Spawn and dont arrive via warp. They seem to have infinate ammo and cap. Just because they always act the same and ppl like repeatition and dont like the unpredictable ppl assume they fight fair?! Grow up. They do what they want when they want because they are people who pay for this game and play it the way they want to, just like you do! -Thar be MERC SCUM spits! These guys kills for money. Its a lucrative business for anyone whos carved out a name for himself in EVE. The ones who didnt make a name mostly make it by being MERRAUDING HOARDES ARRR! They accept money from people...People who don't like you, for whatever reason... Insulting them, mining in their system, killing one of them, talking to them, jettisoning a can near to them...whatever. They will keep killing you untill you pay some stupid amount of money (which you prolly can't afford) and sometimes the guys who dont like you will pay more and you will get killed some more and then sometimes you will talk smack and then it will start to get personal rather then business and you'll get ganked some more (lots more). -Thar be BOUNTYHUNTERS! Ever stolen anyones ore? Thoughts it might be cool, or you just wanted to know what all the fuss was about? Or maybe you wanted the rush of doing something illigal just once in your life?! Ever saw a person in a pod..seemingly AFK in 0.0 space? Ever thought...'hey maybe this guy is just trying to get back home...i should help him a bit'. Well then chances are that one day you're little adventure will come back to haunt you because thar be bountyhunters!!! These guys kill criminals for cash... Anything from you petty candythief to you grand scamming master and grand master podmuncher! They also hunt whatever else they think is BAD. If YOU have a problem...if noone else can help...and if you have some kind of vague evidence that its legal...maybe you can hire the bountyhunters! -Thar be varia arrrr!
