Maybe they were abused as children by pve at one time and could never defeat a boss on N64. Thus the lasting emotional pve scar has remained on them. I dunno. Now I'm sure I'm going to manage to **** off both fanboys and carebears trying to get the game changed with this post, but here goes: Eve really isn't that great of a game, when you actually look at the gameplay aspect of it. It really only has 2 major things going for it: Its complexity, and the fact that it's a game in which acting like an asshat is not only allowed, but encouraged. That whole cold, harsh universe thing? THAT is why many of us play eve. I laugh my ass off whenever a dev tells someone to cry moar on the forums (which happens fairly often), and I suspect others do as well. Often times what happens is that someone (usually a carebear, but it happens with pvpers from time to time) gets upset that someone else is making them miserable in game. This person then comes to the forums, whining that other people shouldn't be able to ruin the game for them. These people are invariably hypocrites. Being able to ruin someone's day is one of the core ideas behind eve. I'd have quit long ago were it not for the fact that through wardecs, low/nullsec roams, or even suicide ganking, I can ruin someone else's day, and the fact that other people can do it to me is what makes actually BEING in low/nullsec more interesting. The losses in eve are what make winning exciting, remove the risk from the game and you've got something that's not eve, and there's already thousands of MMOs out there that aren't eve, so if you're looking for one (which is essentially what you're saying when you talk about wanting to change one of the things that make eve, eve) expect other people to point you in their direction.

Usually it is the new players that get this treatment, the players on who the future of the game rests. It is wrong for someone to tell another person to stop playing the game and I believe it is in the best intrests of CCP to entice new players to stay; having "jerks" tell them to go play something else does not endear newbies to stay. So if we report them, please give them a short (week or two) ban for trying discourage new players from playing. Your face .... it needs to be shut. ANd u shuoudl GB2WoW,nublet!!
