At the moment I have a rigged Cormorant but the 20km tractor range as well as the 576m3 cargo isn't the greatest. So I was looking at the Legion as a potential upgrade. To use a Marauder isn't an option as I'm not a fan of BS sized hulls. [Legion, Salvager] Expanded Cargohold II Expanded Cargohold II Expanded Cargohold II Expanded Cargohold II Signal Amplifier II 10MN Afterburner II 100MN Afterburner II [empty med slot] Salvager II Salvager II Small Tractor Beam I Small Tractor Beam I Small Tractor Beam I Small Tractor Beam I Small Tractor Beam I Small Tractor Beam I Salvage Tackle I Salvage Tackle I Cargohold Optimization I Legion Electronics - Emergent Locus Analyzer Legion Defensive - Adaptive Augmenter Legion Engineering - Augmented Capacitor Reservoir Legion Offensive - Assault Optimization Legion Propulsion - Fuel Catalyst This will give 900m3 cargo, 500m/s and 40km tractors. The 100mn AB is on there if the wrecks are 100km apart as it will give some 1100m/s propulsion but with a horrible align time. The signal amp is used for the 2 additional targets it provide as the standard 5 targets on a T3 cruiser is a bit on the low side. Any comments?

You're a sick, sick person who apparently has never heard of the wonderful world of Battlecruisers. Hint: they tend to cost less than half a billion ISK and usually have a whole ****load of high slots.

Any comments? Sigh. That number in EFT, the one that's for "Align time" also counts for "Acceleration". There is absolutely no reason to not use a 10mn mwd instead of a lolwtf 100mn ab.

If he is salvaging as he goes, the area is deadspace and the MWD won't work. He could bookmark the rooms and come back after turning in the mission, but he may not want to do that. It is too much of a hassle to bookmark each room, copy each bookmarks to alt and so on. I might swap the 100mn AB for a 10mn MWD and a large cap battery for the few missions that let you use them. As for using T3, why not, it's not like the Legion is famous for being a good ship as the Amarr HACs seems to outperform it at nearly all other tasks. It is also the only ship class smaller than a BS with 100% range bonus to tractors. Oh and with this subsystem combination it's pretty cute, looking like a baby Avatar.

Percy Loudbottom	Posted - 2009.07.12 17:33:00 - [24] haha. It is kind of wrong on a "warships are for war" kind of level. But really, it makes a certain kind of sense. If it has a tractor bonus it will help clean up salvage fields faster, which will get you on to the next mission faster, which will make you more isk/hour. For someone who is a serious hard-core missioner doing a lot of missions, it's an investment but it will pay for itself eventually. look at it this way: it's kind of like getting a Marauder to do missions in, only a Legion and a T1 mission ship will be cheaper.

First off you can setup a t3 cruiser with the drone synthesis sub for dmg give it a bit of a tank, guess you could put cargo holds on it to if ya need. So in essence you can actually do dps in your lvl 4's and have a decent salvager at a less cost than that of a marauder. Ive got one, but I hang in wh space.
