Yeah.. Still nothing to get worked up over.
Regardless of how it connects to Eve, it's at its core, just another FPS on a console.

This is an awesome concept, combining two worlds, and graphics looked nice even though I dont like FPS games as such.
Scary part is how MUCH the players in DUST are able to affect our sovereignty..
if u look closer it's actualy a gallente t3 ship.
Actually look at a mega from underneath, with the front facing right movie screen link, (or let me link you a screen) or it also could be a cynabal, you have to understand how huge a megathron is, but a cynabal i could see being in that locale. also for that flying vehicle that shoots rockets, i dunno, at first glance it kinda looked like a vengeance (movie).

Too little. I think I got what that is, it's the caldari fighter: I just opened the QEN and there's an image of those, the resemblance is striking, the dimensions seem to match.
The ship that explodes is a thorax, the ship shooting missiles at it is imho a tengu.

You'd better be releasing those details a LOT sooner than that (I suggest this weekend is too late) or you might find yourselves short thousands of subscribers by then.
NGE's and Dev stonewalling and atmospheres of uncertainty are bad, mmkay?

One of the reasons I stay with Eve is that I had hoped to one (not so distant) day I¦d be able to FLY DOWN TO PLANETS or WALK IN STATIONS, as this WAS PROMISED years ago.
I hope they¦ll still be working on that and that I dont have to buy a whole seperate game with additional fees. Not sure I¦ll stay with Eve if that is the case.
Console only - fail. At least make a PC version as well for the large number of players that do not own a console and still want to play it.

Glad I'm going this year, but the uncertainty isn't going to help people calm down. They're afraid of the changes this may bring to EVE, and reducing those fears a little should pay off in the long run.
This is a bold move by CCP and one that could work out very well, but a scared player isn't going to stick around for 6 weeks to get some answers.

Nope, I'm already canceling accounts that were training ships I wanted to have in 3 months. I'll stick to my main one (for now) but I'm sure I'm not alone in reducing my long term commitment to EVE due to the uncertainty.

Posted in the COAD thread already but who knows if CCP will read either.
As explained so far seems a bit one sided. How are DUST players going to move from Planet to Planet, how about Planetary Bombardment.
If you were wanting a real word scenario think of this as a Beach Assault, you have landing ships, support ships naval gunfire. All of these elements fall within the EVE rather than the DUST Universe so where are they.
If you want to claim SOV you should have to protect your invasion fleet to the planet and while they are there. The Complaint has always been that people won't engage, here is an opportunity to make it happen.
So come on CCP either drop the link or make it work for both communities.

I really like those ideas but i do not understand why it wil be for console only. From time to time i also like to play shooters and that would be really cool if i could play a shooter on my pc that belongs to eve.
I guess we have to wait for more information to really see what ccp is doing there.

I doubt that people will show up for fanfest just to see this now that you dumped it on everyones lap. if they were comeing to fanfest there comeing to fan fest.
First? Its about ~2000 USD for me to go there because I have to fly to where I can get on the plane and also incidentaly its less than 90 days now so the ticket prices basicaly doubled what I would have payed befor august 1 so meh.
Second its in the middle of the school term. I have a battery of tests that week so thats a second meh again.
nice try though. I take it your sales are still laging?

Canceling accounts is a bit over the top. Might as well just wait to see how it all pans out.
I am a bit sceptical about the whole thing, but it's not like the game as you know it now, will change a whole lot...

So at the Fanfest they'll have all-PC audience of hardcore EVE gamers, and CCP will present their console exclusive Dust game that influences 0.0 sov.
"Hey guys check out this new game we are making! sorry but you can't play it, this is for completely different player audience. Oh and just to make things interesting, we let those new players determine the fate of your 0.0 alliances. Isn't that exciting?"

I am surprised it is console only but at the same time the article on mmorpg brought up many good points. People screaming NGE have zero clue what the NGE really did to SWG. This is adding to the game where the NGE took everything away. Seriously people act like adults. Speak with your wallet because whining and crying tears on a forum will not change anything. But if the time comes and you find out that the affect of DUST is minimal I hope you at least have the spine to admit you were wrong.

Actualy, I think allthe emo-rage-quitting crap is totally overboard. As the guy from Pandemic Legion said, CCP has not, in 4 years, managed to get WiS implemented in the game (the official line has been the old Duke Nukem Forever favourite:"It's ready whe it's ready"), so I doubt that CCP will move all that much faster with this Dust stuff.
I think we're all being scammed once again by CCP just like we were with Wanking in Stations.
