Why do i have a feeling the orca has just had its cargo room slashed for things not ore........
Because you haven't read this thread, where all signs, based on what's been on the test server, point towards an additional bay for ore without having any other cargo space removed. :)

So when are you going to make it so that we can improve standings with Pirate factions? This is a bigger problem then losing standing cause you declined a faction mission. Get a move on and fix this

How can you possibly consider that to be a nerf? Are you in the habit of hitting the scan button more than once every 2 seconds?

The Orca is getting an ADDITIONAL 50,000 m^3 of ORE only cargo space. The Rorqual is getting an ADDITIONAL 250,000 m^3 of ORE only cargo space.
It seems kind of sucky though that neither of these cargo areas can be used for Ice space from what the patch notes say... Please resize your signature to the maximum allowed of 400 x 120 pixels. Zymurgist |

I do agree that I find it odd that the new Orca & Rorqual bays can only hold Ore and not Ice, but in the case of the Rorqual you must be careful to only allow unprocessed Ice in the Ore bay. No need to make it an even better Jumpdrive train than it already is.
But I had a thought about this bonus Ore bay: How about making its size linked to the Industrial Command/Capital Ship skill? At level 1 it's only 20% of its intended size (10000m3 for the Orca, 25000m3 for the Rorqual) and then every level would add another 20% to it? It would make for a greater incentive to train up the skill for these ships. |

Quote: A bug was introduced in Apocrypha 1.3 where the passive bonus of active hardeners was applied when the module was active. This has been fixed, and the passive bonus will no longer apply when armor or shield hardeners are active.
Great...
It wasn't a bad thing. It made Shield Tank a few more interresting, as Armor was still the best but they use EANM so no bug...
Now we will return as before, with some players who don't hesitate to recommend Armor Tanked RAVEN or others things as Shield sucks.
Great... _______ Local is fine, period.
CCP devs, you nerfed shield resists by 8.3% but armor by 7.1% (The old Explo/EM "10 points" Nerf). When will you correct this inconsistency ? |

Why won't anyone read the thread I linked to?
Originally by: CCP Chronotis The Rorqual and Orca will receive ore holds initially. The ore hold accepts any type of ore, compressed or not which includes ice as this is a type of asteroid.

Actually yes.. its a total nerf.. when you live in 0.0, and a red jumps into system, you onboard scan spam a gate to get a ship type before they cloak, if they are cloakies..
This nerfs that, because in theory I could land on a gate and decloak and jump, or come thru and decloak from jump and recloak, and you wouldn't catch it on scan...
This is great for cloaky grifers tho that love to spend hours in other peoples space.

Maybe it's where I live but it takes at least a second to get a result from a scan anyway for me so I don't really care

I sure hope that is the case.
If you read up on the relevant dev blog, they said they were contemplating it a part of a salvage and rigs revamp. They never said if or when they would do it. That definitely means it was never planned to be in Apochribba 1.5. 'cause they were still just thinking about it. They still had to design it. And if you haven't finished the design, you really can't program it yet and obviously in now way can you release it. Understand?

I am quite confident that when trying to scan down someone I can adjust the view and scan and then adjust the view and with each cycle taking less than two seconds. I am sure other people are even better than me. To me and to those people this is quite a big nerf. It could potentially increase the time it takes to scan down someone by 25%-50%, which again could mean the difference between kill and no kill.

Ice Ore will load, ice products ('topes, stront...etc) won't. Most of the Ice mentioned in the patch notes seems to be the latter. --

Isn't that more than made up for by the new probes? The time it takes from entering local to having a warpable probe result is infinitesimal, especially if you hunt in a specific area and leave probes in space using the "reconnect" to bypass the actual dropping of probes. Hunting by directional only has been a near impossibility for a long time, against aware prey that is.
The Thursday patch looks like the biznizz on a whole, gives me great hope and expectations for the actual winter's patch.

Seriously WTF CCP??????? Have You ever tried to scan ratter in belt using directional? It's already very hard, and You already have no chance to catch even a BS when he hits warp as soon as You enter local (unless he's scrambled by NPCs or bumped of roids). With this change it will be even worse! I understand Your reasons behind this change but they only apply to big battles so PLEASE make it possible to scan faster when local is below 100 or sth.

The main issue there is not scanning every 2 seconds, its how local works in general

He is talking about using the directional scanner, which is being changed in this patch to have a minimum 2 second time limit between scans, not using scan probes. |

Just a question,
Will CCP also be fixing the blackops so that it can portal blackops based ships to Cyno Generator arrays(POS Structure)? Didn't see anything in the notes.

nice to see the rigs are getting balance to make them a more viable investment relitive to the ship hull cost.
but i think you'll find a vastly growing number of players have allready found a solution to the cost,.. not just for rigs,. but for ships and mods and everything they can have in space
loggoff
yep thats right,. i mean ****,.. these guys have got it down to an art,. they can save 90% of all there ships,. **** me theres even threds on the eve forums detailing how to do it,. and different meathods,. like the triple loggoffski to avoid being probed.
now if your not in combat and you dissconnect,.. hell yeah your ship should warp away,.. and thank god it does,. no ones without the occasional dis'co. But while in combat,.. pinned/scram'd by scammer, disruptor, and foucused disruptor or anything else to can chuck at a ship to keep it there, if they logg/dis'co, the ship still warps off,. this is wrong.
Now you can't remove the abiltily to logg off,. hell we all gotta log an eat/sleep at some time. All that needs to change is that if a ship is warp disrupted it should stay in space, on grid, if the player is either logged on or not. lets face it, even if you don't loggoff, and you get dis'cod while in combat, you should lose your ship
shame on you eve community, forget about capital cargo space for 1 min and lets ride this so the "i don't loss button mechainc" for ******s is removed.
