This is as much a nerf to solo roaming as removing MWD+cloak was. Lets hope it goes the same way as that did...

Agreed. Change the scan delay to 0.1 second. Maybe 0.3-0.4sec absolute maximum.
2 second scan delay is UNACCEPTABLE.  |

Supporting this, because this issue is seriously game-breaking for me, and as I'm often scouting for targets the delay is just unacceptable. As others here have said, it's about moving the angle around and hitting scan in the direction of different celestial objects quickly. Pre-patch I could get a target ship to 5 degrees within 5-10 seconds, now it can take 20+. As the original poster mentioned, scanning whilst mid-warp is badly affected, especially with interceptors.
The bare minimum delay I would be okay with is 0.3 seconds, but I would prefer it lower than that or removed entirely.
