the old guys like us literally invented computer slang for you guys :)
also, I am 99 % positive the guys i ran with , when UO first came out, way back in 1997 invented the term "asshat" for after ganking people on day 1 release we would take our characters pants off and sit repeatedly on the dead guys head before we cut him up and deboned him.
those were the days allright.../sigh
My dad is an old skool gamer. He got me into games (D&D and MUDs) he still games, I'm trying to hook him on EVE but so far have not had any luck. He currently play WoW (i know...),LOTRO and some FPS.. So I tip my hat to the OGs!

Heading towards 40 in a few years here to..
I remember writing my own game on some god awlfull thing that could barely be called a computer back in the 1980's. I think it was all done in basic. It had a ship that flew from left to right while the ground went by underneath it and you got to shoot crappy little alien spaceships.
At the time it was AWSOME!!!
Then the origional Elite came along.. everyone here should bow thier heads in respect to that game, it is because of that game we have the games of today like Eve.
I spent 20 years looking for a game that would capture the amazing feeling of playing Elite for the first time (Everything else had sprite based graphices, Elite used 3d polygons!  and offered freedom in game like nothing else).
Eve is the only game that has ever equaled it IMHO.

Well now I feel a lot better
I might be the oldest in my corp, but I'm a long way off from being the oldest in eve
Oh and for the record I'm 49 and a 1/2, hey if the half counts when you're 9, it counts when you're 49

Just turned 40 last month, and still having balls at games.
Allthough as usual one of the oldest guys in my corp :x but somehow i allways expected too see alot of people in EvE of a lil higher age as you would encounter in games as.... wel...< cough> wow when you are running around with 12 year olds <sigh>

I'm 52 and of course I still play. At my age with all the meds I take even Viagra doesn't help so it's either play EVE or play with myself...
And my 49 year old wife is a big gamer too. We spent 10 years together playing in the Unreal Tournament World...

I'm proud to say that I'm more than halfway to forty, but I am steadfastly convicted to play well into my 100s. That is to say if computers are still around then and the robots haven't taken over yet.
