I'm 35, but I feel at least 40...does that count?
The olde player base is what makes EvE what it is, the best MMO going at the moment!

50.
Although I'm using PCs professionally since they came out in the 80s, I never was much of a gamer. This ended when I found out about MMORPGs and joined Ultima Online in 1998. Played this till 2005 and then came over to EVE Online (I'm a strictly one game man).

Never played Ultima Online... but I am a full Avatar of the Eight Virtues. To this day I can still name them.
Anyone else? Perhaps someone who, once upon a time, faced Mondain, Minax or Exodus?

Another 40 year old here, one of the things that got me interested in EVE was hearing how many older players there were.
We should just consider ourselves Tech 2 teenagers

heh, we have an entire corp dedicated to older players, check out www.30plus.org yeah, we let some of the younger guys in..... but no younger than 30, ever. and we have a couple members in their 60's and one in his 70's, one member who's son and daughter in law are members... blueprint haus is the eve team of 30plus and 30plus has been around for more than 12 years. and the people in this thread make this game great! the reduced tardism in eve is very very nice, its friendly to real life training works well for us. glad you all made it!

45 here. First game was Atari Pong. Was pimping with some dell with 512kb of ram and a 20 meg hard drive. Wiped that thing clean by banging the desk with my fist . . .
Can't wait to be plugged in while on life support!

Will be 40 before year's end.
First computer GAE was Telstar; multiple games along the same genre: tennis, handball, squash, etc.
First computer was the Commodore Vic-20; the one with the cassette tape storage device. Learned to type by banging away on the keyboard and entering pages of code from COMPUTE! magazine.

Seems to me there used to be a corp for us ... errrr older gamers. If there isn't an active corp for our age group there really should be.

My favorite music is Van Halen and I had a mulet. I thought Joan Jett was the best female rocker and Pat benatar was the best vocalist. The 80's rock.
Dont let these kids get you down.EVE was ment for over 40 year olds that cant play FPS and dont need them cartoons like eq2 or wow.

44 here! This thread is awsome! My gaming addiction started with pinball machines. Standing on milk crates to see the playfield! One day I walked into the arcade and there was this new thing called thing called PONG! Coolest thing i ever saw (in my few years), and so it began.

Originally by: Kezzle I hear the PC gamer demographic has an average age of over thirty these days. And that was 5 or more years ago (my dad).
This sort of thing is why the median is a much more descriptive statistic in many cases.
