If you get any issues after updating then let me know. --------------------------------------

I'm running v1.3.0.4 currently. When I go to auto-update (showing beta updates) it only shows me v1.3.1.0.

I ran the autoupdate, and now I'm getting this exception when I try to start up EMMA. I've deleted and reinstalled EMMA twice since, but it hasn't helped. Any ideas?

This has a couple of fixes for issues around bank accounts. Bit late now that all the bank are bust but hey, better late than never.

I'm guessing you're using Vista?
Try installing and running with an account that has admin privilages. I forget all the hopes you have to jump through to get it working on a normal account but I think that it's possible.

I get strange results running NAV reports. The most recent period seems to be correct but I get progressively larger and larger negative sums for Cash in Escrow and Assets with each previous period. That seems to severely throw off the totals. So much so that the NAV report claims I was 9.67B in red two months ago. Since I have never taken out any loans, that simply isn't possible. Both of those values should never be negative unless I'm missing something.
I'm running 1.3.1.1 and can provide additional data if you need it. It's not a huge issue for me but it would be interesting to get an accurate history of how my ISK has been growing.

Yeah, I'm afraid it's an issue with trying to calculate backwards from the limited data available.
If you've not used EMMA before then it's pretty much guaranteed that you'll have something like that in your NAV report.
The more often you run the report and the longer you collect data, the more accurate the historic values will become.

Please, can you rename your product to something other than EMMA? The problem is whenever I see this thread, it reminds me of her and I was so in love!
Please call it something else, like, erm, Brian. Thanks.

Looking back through the older threads, I think this problem is actually down to Vista/Win7 virtualisation of the program files directory. In theory, it should just work but sometimes it dosn't.
I never got around to making EMMA properly vista compliant but I will do so... sometime. --------------------------------------

I'm brand new to EMMA and am likely doing something silly. So I'm going through the tutorial and when I click "Orders" as instructed, nothing happens. No error, no sound, no pop-ups--nothing.
I'll move on to the next part of the tutorial, Transactions, but I'd think the Orders screen is rather important.

Question: I paid for a license a while ago, but shortly after I did the need for a key was seemingly removed. Which is nice, but I'm guessing you will want to reinstate it at some point, and I never got a key. So, will I get a key for that eventuality - or will a key never again be needed?

Why is EMMA lighting up my IP filter by trying to connect to "Performance Systems International-ed2k/ap2p"?
Is EMMA associate with an anti-p2p association?

EDIT: The Transactions screen had the same issue. EDIT 2: Restarting EMMA fixed both issues. EDIT 3: There is no Grid screen that I can see when going through the tutorial. EDIT 4: OK, the Grid screen opened up automatically with the "Journal" screen which was after the 2 tutorials talking about the Grid screen. Maybe the Grid screen was there before when I was looking at the Transactions window, and maybe the Transactions window was covering the Grid screen. I am running in 1024 x 768. So not much screen area for these big windows. A little confusing, but I'm not complaining. Just trying to give constructive feedback from a newbie's perspective.
Thanks for the feedback. Next time I fiddle with the tutorial, I'll take a look at this.

There are certainly no plans to reinstate a key. If we do then I've got records to show if you've paid so no worries there.
If you want a key then you can use the official key gen program linked in the first post.

EMMA dosn't do any P2P stuff. I seem to remember eve-central uses some odd host names though. Try disabling the eve-central lookups in options -> items values and see if that gets rid of the warning.

It is reported that EMMA shows Market Order creation timestamps that are much older than the data that appears in the API or in the in-game Market Data exports.
Is this because EMMA itself keeps track of the earliest timestamp attached to an orderID? Or from where does that data come? á á

You're right in that it appears to be an issue with Eve-Central.com and not EMMA. However, shifting from Eve-Central.com to Eve-Metrics.com does not eliminate EMMA's checking Eve-Central.com when it first loads. No big deal. Just an FYI.
Love the program!

Thanks :)
When it starts, EMMA makes connections to all the various places it might contact. If any of those fail then it disables communication with that source until EMMA is restarted. That wil be why it's still trying to connect to eve-central at first. --------------------------------------

hmm, there's not really any info in there that helps in identifying the problem. Do you get any entries in logging/exceptionlog.txt? --------------------------------------

Hi All:
I've been trying unsuccessfully to install and use EMMA for several days. My questions are:
1. Is the program still being supported, i.e., is there a website, forum, or in-game contact for information? 2. What is the current version of EMMA and/or EMMA installer and where can they be obtained. 3. What are the system requirements, subordinate program (i.e., SQL server 2005 SP3? FrameNet 3.5?) names are versions? 4. What are the known problems related to installation and execution? 5. What are the viable alternatives (i.e., EveTrader etc) and their pros and cons.
Thank you. Kind regards, Peri Phusis

1. EMMA is still supported but only in a very loose sense. I don't have the time or inclination right now to do much more than that. The project homepage is hosted on googlecode.
2. Current main release version is 1.3.1.1, current beta version is 1.3.1.2. Installers for 1.3.1.0 can be found through the links in the OP. This will then update automatically once installed.
3. SQL Server express 2005 (SP2) and .NET 3.5. Both these are installed by the installer package. However, on 64bit operating systems, you may have to install these components manually.
4. There are several known problems. Mostly around Vista and trying to install/run on non-administrator windows accounts.
5. Check the resources sticky at the top of the forum.

I still cannot get ANY of the versions linked in this forum to work on ANY of my computers consistently. The current problem is that the program either disappears after login or after minimization. And the icon on the task bar only offers the option to "quit" not to restore. Something is wrong. Please supply me with an email address or convo me in game.
The program looks promising, and quite frankly, essential for serious trading. Why the lack of development and support? Something is not adding up here......

There is no trial version anymore, it's fully enabled and free.
Try double clicking the system tray icon to restore it, it's odd that it minimizes automatically though.
The lack of development is basically because I don't have much free time and what I do have, I don't want to spend writing software.

For some reason, EMMA is unable to connect to the EVE API or, for that matter, any remote servers (EVE central, etc). Running Vista 64 bit, but I don't see how that would cause a problem.
