The only issue is that mining ships have such terrible buffer tanks, that you often can't reach them in time to help. So give Mining Barges/Exhumers a good 150 PG and that should solve it. Perhaps even an extra mid slot, but that might be pushing it.
rofl your serious too. no wonder some guilds suck (i dont mean eve) and some others don't. if you want to save your miners make a freaking effort and stand guard.
If standing guard was worth it ISK wise then it would be done all the time. 2 accounts doing 1 account's worth of mining is just not worth it ISK wise, and is a terrible bore for the guard, which is what you don't want in a game.
Giving just a bit more time(over NO time) for help to arrive is a good idea, especially when Dominion comes and CCP wants to encourage more high sec miners into 0.0.
again ill say make an effort and stand guard or pay the consequences. can't have it both ways or peole will think you'd rather be in empire with concord. that would be defeating the point tho wouldnt it.
you just bought ccp another month of playtime and a stealth bomber. ill scout a bit tommorrow with an alt see if i can PVP some null sec afk miners:P

By wasting time guarding a miner you're already suffering the consequences. 0.0 Mining just isn't enough risk vs. reward wise with an AFK cloaker in system, unless you have a big mining op going where a guard is worth it.

Just have cloaks use fuel to keep running. Heavy water would be a nice thing to give it a new use other then POS and Roq jobs.

How is using a cloak a macro? Most of the isk farmers I've come across were at the keyboard typing things like "why you violence my boat"(didn't cloak in time) "I am a cunning warrior" (cloaked in time) and other more entertaining poor translations, or intentional poor english.

move to amarr, mine veld in peace. you won't have to worry about afk cloakers there. you can semi afk mine in a hulk all day. oh hang on that's what you want but in null sec?

I want mining to be a viable income option when there's an AFK cloaker in system. Far from the safety of highsec, and it relies on the help of your friends instead of concord, which is what 0.0 is all about.
Like I said earlier, mining ships don't have enough buffer to be worth undocking in 0.0 with an AFK cloaker in system, unless there's a big mining op going where a guard is worth bringing along.

Like the idea of making more rats scramble though, perhaps all frigate belt rats should have a chance of scrambling.

CCP released a list of where people were banned from? have a linky? It's not that I'm doubting I'm just honestly curious. Or you are just trying to troll and made it up which is equally possible judging how most interactions go on this forum.

Funny how you are totally full of crap. CCP didn't release any Banned IP information so you are talking out the side of your neck.
Funny how stupid you look right now.

You could find a solution to cloaks. Here's a couple ideas based on Star Trek that could be adapted.
Modified Torpedo/Missile. Use invention to create them. To use you'd need some sort of science skill along with normal missile/torpedo skills. Would do low damage and have low range. Work kinda like a fof missile and probably requires that skill as well. Strikes a cloaked ship it decloaks it.
Ship mod like a smartbomb but one that disperses tachyons in a radius that then decloaks a cloaked ship. Fits in a high slot, doesn't take turret or missile spot. Science skill of some sort along with what the smartbomb normally takes. Make it something folks can invent.

Nope :). You'd have to fly around and disperse tachyons or shoot missiles :). It gives you a tool my idea but not a freeby.
I suppose you could take the tachyon idea a bit further and have a mod that you can anchor at a POS outside the force field that blocks cloaking in the system by continually flooding it with tachyons....much like how a cyno jammer stops cynofields.

And pretty soon every bubble camp in 0.0 would have these missles/pulses as standard equipment. Super-sweet gate camp boost. Bubble + decloaky ship and not even the most agile cov-ops pilots will have a hope at getting through. ~ Santiago Fahahrri Galactic Geographic |

So you really wanna do some ratting but there's a guy cloaked in your system who might try to kill you? God forbid you might need to defend yourself from other players in nullsec!

I think that as long as your moving the cloak should stay active! If they are just sitting, I believet the cloak should deactivate after 15 min!

Sigh some one broght it up again ... lol. If you look back the cloak reduces the sig radius of the ship but does not eliminate it so there is always the possibility of scanning it out. Yes smaller ship harder bigger ship not as hard. CLoak is fine the way it is if anything dont make the cloaking sig radius as small in relation tot he ship size.
