subject says it all. i can't install evemon on my work systep thanks to no .NET installation or something similar. eft works fine, in comparison, thanks to basically no install program or registry keys required. anyone know of a program that allows for skill planning? implants and remapping a plus. |

I got my first skillplanner at Walmart. It was in the school supplies section, listed as a 'notebook'.
As for online apps: I seriously dont know of another app besides Evemon. |

Just look up the formulas and calculate them yourself. You can do it in Excel. It's much much easier now without learning skills to optimize training plans for. |

Just figure out which modules you need to be able to use. You can use the notepad in-game to jot down which skills you need so you can remember. If you jot down the module name next to the skill, it'll help you remember why you want it, and how badly you want it. Then you can glance through your notepad when you need to pick a skill to put in the queue. -á"The Mittani: Hated By Badposters i'm strangely comfortable with it" -Mittens |

I don't know if anyone told you but EVEMon can run from a USB stick (the installer is just for the ease of things). http://wiki.battleclinic.com/index.php/EVEMonPortable The ugly part for you though may be the fact that EVEMon since 1.3.4 requires that .NET 4 is installed on the machine (full not the client version). Still though you will need access to API so I guess even this way, you won't be able to use EVEMon for anything other than the planner. |

yes, it's so much easier to track 400 skills in excel with all the requisite data. how could i have not realized this?
the idea isn't to track one simple plan. it's to fotz with a bunch of different plans until i figure out what i want. something like excel really takes the balls from a tool designed for this.

if i can't install .NET at work, what makes you think that i can play the game there?

this is better information, honestly, but i think it still wouldn't help because i can't get .NET on there. i didn't know you could portable-ize it.

i use it on breaks and my lunch. although, i forgot about evehq completely! i'll give that a shot. |

I like the yellow legal pad better.
Oh, and if you are unhappy with the current, user provided applications, this might be your time to shine, as a user, by providing a skill planner that never needs admin access. This is EVE. -á Everybody Versus Everybody. |

blocked at work. already tried it =)

because there's a ton of correlation between having ~400 skills, their train times, my current implant settings, and a pencil and paper, and a computer program that you use to manage numbers, remap attributes, and automatically handle calculations when on your break. looooove it.

it's starting to look like i'll have to do that =/ i was hoping to find something already, even an excel sheet that could handle it, but everything's designed around the .NET libraries or some other utility. |

Use logmein to see your computer at home, and run evemon there. All you need is but a single tab on your browser
Bonus: plans are always 'synced' between work and home, and anyone inspecting the machine wont find anything.

logmein as a site is blocked, along with all other RDP-type technologies. i tried windows RDP, logmein, teamviewer, VNC, and a few others.
good try though - i hadn't actually tested logmein, but it still doesn't work =/ |

proxies are always against company policies, since they allow for unsupervised access to the internet. if you don't realize that, well, maybe you should read your access policy. that said, yes, i work for a company where data security is excessively controlled. my network access is necessarily limited.
i don't own a laptop, unfortunately. |

You can't use your own smartphone at work? Or you do not own one?
Also for the home RPD thing, change the ports it uses at home, and adjust your local RPD clients port used to the same and it should make it past the firewall. Although if proxies would get your fired, accessing an outside network would probably get your fired as well. But I'm not your network admin. |
