This thing is so easy to kill once its commited to a fight its easy to kill i could kill it in a thrasher... I fly the thing alot its fun but i fly alot of other frigates too. Ive been nearly killed by thrashers so many times except i usualy get bailed out by a gang mate in those sitations im not a dumb pilot.. Any good pilot could kill a dramiel without the need of another dramiel or even a rapier for that matter. Just because a few god videos are made and loads of people buy them doesnt mean there ovp.. If you want to bring it down a little bit just take a way a little of its base speed thats fair. If you die to a dramiel ud just as easily die to a ranis or ship of similer type. Please do. Then come back and donate your five cents as to what needs to change for it to be balanced. AC Thrasher can be tracking tanked in MF range using a Slicer (ie. faster orbit than it tracks). Even webbed its doable, but requires manual flying and becomes a very close fight. Dramiel is almost twice as fast, has drones, tracking bonus and twice the EHP .. do the math. But as said, by all means try to kill a non-noob Dramiel in a Thrasher/T1 frig. I'll save you a seat here on the whining benches for when you realise the futility of it.

Even if CCP decides to nerf your little lovecraft (I do not think they will) you make astonishingly bad points. Your posts only show rage that anyone would dare touch your precious little ship. Well, thats what I get from reading them anyways. The fact is, Dramiel is very good, maybe even too good comapred to other pirate frigs. Its combination of speed/tank/dps is better than most any other frig. Sure, Dramiels is easy to kill, but when you start getting ships that the nano nerf was supposed to kill its no longer any fun since evnetually it will be the only worthwhile frig to fly.

Actually, you point is very valid. I forgot T3 frigs were on the way. My point in making the thread was that a dram nerf was inevitable. I love flying the ship myself, I've always loved speed and the dram gives me a raging bone. That said, its an "I win" ship in encounters with anything not specifically made to fight it. If CCP leaves it as is and brings out T3s that bring a wider variety of highly capable frigs into play, that would be awesome. zappy109	Posted - 2010.02.07 17:31:00 - [49] Edited by: zappy109 on 07/02/2010 17:31:50 TBH I think the problem that people have with the Dramiel is it's speed and damage combo, the fact that it's faster than most, if not all, interceptors without needing to fit any nanos, ODs or speed rigs along with it's ability to field the dps of AFs with a fairly good tank thrown in has earned it a lot of complaints from people. Basically it's becoming like the vagabond/cynabal of frigates, faster than all others, can pick it's fights and is damn near impossible to catch, which a lot of people are having trouble adjusting to. Personally I've never been able to catch one, but i just sit my curse on a gate or station and they don't come near me or anyone that's with me I think that a lot of people would like to see it's speed brought into line with interceptors, having around 4-5km/s WITH upgrades to it's speed OR people would like to be see it's dps brought into line with interceptors to make for interesting fights rather than just an instant win for the dramiel
