I fully agree with this request. It's very odd looking at the calendar and having everything be one day offset (because here, Sunday is always on the left side).
On a plus, love the new cursors. |

First off. Thank you CCP for all you guys do to make this a great game. But the new address book? Come on man... It's not only been accidently'd but it's a coat hanger abortion. No folders? I can't tell who is a war target and who is in my "ass hats to be hunted some other day" lists. It's weak at best. Hell, the old one was better. At least put the person's corp/alliance name under their name when it's in the address book list.

Edited by: Garst Tyrell on 27/05/2010 01:44:42 the new corp graphics updated the symbols without updating the horrible colors and gradients which were already iffy to begin with, now most corp logos look weird, with obvious pixels showing, and just dont mesh like they used to. Please please please update the color palate, gradients, alpha layers whatever it takes to let us design decent corp logos again please
also huge +1 for breaking up the NC and getting lots of bears killed in their caps and ratting ships on their POS, couldnt have done it better myself. I guess tranquility post tryannis couldnt handle a naplist that large :)

Well, I was prepared to hate the new scorpion/widow models since I loved the old one, but the swept-back, sleek look and understated protrubances that only look a little bit like claws instead of a lot like them actually make the new model pretty damned cool. Good one, CCP. -Wrayeth n00b Extraordinaire "Look, pa! I just contributed absolutely nothing to this thread!" |

+ * Very quick download and smooth install of new patch * Alot less CPU or GFX use (can't tell which), when multiboxing (3-5 clients) it's a significant less stress on my PC, much <3 * Very smooth server when it went up, no lags on market, travel, etc
- * New address book is pure crap, why's there no folders?, and it really should separate buddy list from standigns.. * The right-aligned distance (in overview), looks totally wrong * Calender should have it's own simple intuitive role (or be completely open) to corp, having it director only kills most of its potential
- I'd tell you why but then I'll have to kill you. And to kill you I'd have to log in. And to log in I'd have to stop browsing these forums. Both you and me knows that'll never happen. |

Edited by: Vexidious on 27/05/2010 01:53:37 1) Default all Spacebook pilot data to public = FAIL. 2) Worse contacts interface with 300 contact limit with requirement for someone to be in said contacts list to adjust standings = ULTRA-MEGA FAIL. 3) An expansion that is (supposedly) all about PI with no ability to actually do any planet interacting for weeks = FAIL. 4) Any expansion with no new ships = FAIL.
Over all, in order to be less impressed, I think that I would have to be dead.

Calendar :
- Would like the option to have the calendar go Sunday -> Saturday instead. That's the way every calendar is drawn around here

- When sending an invite with a time that has already passed, error message should kick you back to the actual event, not close the event and lose everything entered so far.
- Should have visual clue ON the calendar to say when an event has been accepted or is still pending acceptance
- Should be able to "comment" on calendar event posted.
Thanks again for all the hard work. Keep it up! =)

Thanks for finally turning me into a bitter vet CCP, I feel complete as an Eve player now
So far most of the feedback I have are all things that you're already ignoring.
Overview text alignment: prioritizing the least significant digit for display, good going, glad it looks "prettier" for you now - upset
auto-strip on loading fittings: costs me an additional dozen or more clicks a half dozen or more times a day all because someone didn't want to click one button before loading a fit (or give us an option) - Raging
Eve-Gate Opt-out: Terrible precedent for user privacy, and never before have I seen CCP so forcefully reject perfectly valid player concerns - Raging
loss of folders for contacts - annoyed
metal scraps for meta0 loot - glad the meta0 nerf finally happened, tho metal scraps just seems to be rubbing it in, I'd rather have nothing than to have to sort through complete trash - meh
Mission destination balancer now sending me farther than before - I wish it wouldn't send me 3 jumps out just because there are 10 in local - meh
API still online - pleasantly surprised

There was a bug in Dominion which caused a CTD while entering/exiting warp while a T3 ship was on the grid and texture memory was set to high. I bug reported it (90419) and it said 'fixed in Planetary Interaction'. Can you confirm this has been fixed? And if so, don't you think you ought to update the patch notes? ____________ I'd make a forum signature that didn't suck, but I'm restricted by a character limit that does. |

If you guys would just fix the bugs we had before the new patch, we wouldnt even need the new patch. No one but a few dozen actually like the patch and NO ONE wanted it.
WE PAY YOUR BILLS CCP, your job is to keep us happy so we continue to pay your bills. If you cant go back and fix the old bugs before dropping a new buggy expansion, maybe a few thousand closed accounts might change things.
CCP, dont turn into SOE. It looks like youre heading that way everyday.

I would just say that after playing online games for many years and going through update after update, EVE runs in a league of it's own. No annoying fees, mirror sites, damn punkbuster issues or rampant exploits. Just a great game and while all of the whiners are entitled to their own opinions maybe they forgot what it is like on for instance an EA game server. Oh, thanks for the Scorpion re-work, looks great!

CSM thread..... So amazingly moronic that some tech issue has to be involved but really a solution should be found to whatever the tech issue is that doesn't involve crippling the entire contacts system.

i love remote sensing! now i don't have to travel to each system to scan planets! (for those that are a bit slow, the ly's is so u can go to Map mode, and click a system and view the planets from your current system, or station!) tho, i don't see the reason behind holding back the command centers... i am using this time to scan and view every planet and write down the ones i like on paper, so i know which planets i'm gonna brand with my command centers.
Something i tryed in sisi, but wasnt able to do was use a freighter for PI, for droping and picking up stuff by planets, personaly i think freighters are more qualifyed for this job then industrial ships really, when it comes to having 4+ command centers in 1 system.

I don't know if this will help in your case,
however, i've uploaded the patch to my website (which is on a shared hosting service--it's in USA/East Coast) -and have the MD5 hash in the folder as well.
It should serve it up at about 3-4mbs (max is 5mbs) -around 10minutes if your lucky..i'll leave it up for a day or so in this naked folder:

Note: i originally downloaded it from Chribba torrent in about 8min) -it's clean and installed with no problems for me.
Forum link to the to Chribba's torrent is Here

Edited by: Septic Shok on 27/05/2010 02:19:58 Not real happy about eve-gate.
Not only should it default to the highest privacy, but some of the options are a little vague. "All Corp Members" - is this ONLY corp members, or all of them plus whoever else wanders by?
I'd rather just have an option to opt-out of evegate TBH. Now I have to remember to go change settings for every character I create, if I bother getting any more accounts.
It's bad enough that everyone wants your API, now they will want full access to you through this too. |

Jesus Christ seriously fix the existing bugs/lag/borked ****. Your ambition is WAY TOO ****ING HUGE for such a small company. Impossible is your middle name? Try impossibly laggy, impossibly broken, impossibly annoying changes that were neither warranted nor necessary. Server rollback, save Tyrannis for next year when you look at whats busted and fix that ****.

I second this.... the only way to catalog contacts now is by standings. We now have to scroll through a whole contact list to find a character. Being able to create a folder to separate different groups was important.

The background image on the eve-gate front page is still Dominion and should be updated to the blues/grays of Tyrannis.
CCP, alot of people have many characters on many accounts. Its impossible to think that you don't know this. When you designed eve-gate you should have allowed people to link multiple accounts/characters to the same interface and allowed management of all of them from the one place.
Take an application like EveMon for example. It is designed knowing full well that people might have multiple accounts and characters.
Having to log in/out multiple times is extremely tedious and very short-sighted and poorly designed on your behalf.

Any software developer who has their name on a checkin for this steaming pile should be ashamed of themselves.
You claim to be Agile, yet you ignore every point of being an "agile" team.
You fail at basic bug testing.
You fail at basic coding.
Please, stop adding new features for a patch, and devote a full patch to nothing but bug fixes and fine-tuning. ZERO NEW FEATURES. Or quit the company. Ethically, those are your two choices as Software Engineers.

Agreed. This upgrade stinks of sociopathes and hubris. Some of these Team leaders, especially evegate, seem to think they know better then the users.
