My client now starts up much, much faster than with Dominion. This is nice. :)
Planet scanning is fun - I can't wait for the seeding of command centres.
I have heard the complaints about the new insurance system. It might be a fair idea to extend the period of the insurance (double or triple it), if the payouts on T1 ships are genuinely lower now. This won't affect the amount of isk being injected, but it will appease those who feel insurance is less useful for newbies and hisec folks. Alternatively, the 'renewal cost' of reinstating an insurance contract on a previously insured ship could be halved for the same coverage, given the amount already collected and the 'good track record' (lower liability). Just a thought.

Ok before more people star spouting crap, let me fill you in.
Plex prices are coming down. 286 for a plex in jita. Being a mission runner myself, Mission loot hasnt been nerfed that bad, I still get a fair amount of loot from missions which I use for ship production.
No one has talked about PI and what type of income is going to come from that since if you want POS fuel you will have to talk to the planet people.
Insurance nerf and mineral balance is perfect, certain minerals are coming up in prices others are going back down, going back to a 06-07 market. It actually hurts to los a tech 1 ship now instead of oh look i can buy a new ship and full t2 fittings cause of my insurance pay out.
CCP reserves the right to change any part at any time. Remember that.

I've just read the last 3-4 pages of comments and all I can say is wow. Its worse than youtube comments.
-Generic Level 5 Missions are being moved to Low Sec WAHHHHHHH- Complaint Untrue, all Level 5 Mission AGENTS have been moved to low sec, it is still possible to spawn them into highsec, just less likely because of the agent movements, level 5's were never intended to be run in highsec, the devs said this several times.
-Generic Missioning doesn't give me as much money- Complaint The lost of Meta 0 modules and the introduction of scrap metal has lowered income by about 5-10%, thats assuming you were stupid enough to actually loot it. You make far more money blitzting the missions.
-Generic Sun Looks ****- Complaint Okay, you have a point, CCP has decided that to save costs, the Wormhole effect will be used everywhere on anything
-Generic Lag is WORSE- Complaint Whether or not Dominion broke lag is a bit of a moot point when you fill a system with 900 players and don't inform CCP about it. I agree that the new fleet finder and fleet system may have contributed to small gang warfare lag in some cases.
-Generic CCP only nerfs my playstyle and boosts everyone else and because everyone else is whining I must be right- Complaint
People only complain when things go wrong, if the expansion didn't effect you, or made things better, your first plan isn't to go to the forums and shout about it. If it seems like everyone and their mother is complaining, its because there isn't a section of the forum's to THANK CCP.
-Generic EVE IS DYING- Complaint http://eve-offline.net/?server=tranquility Yep, No one is playing anymore...

So you guys putting out a new expansion. But you seem to be rushing stuff... How about you guys look for excellence in a product like you used too. I believe the last 2 patches had numerous bugs that you still have not fixed yet... So wont say keep up the good work.

I play in the drone regions. I can say that changes to drone loots are far worse than I anticipated. Values for even the best BS spawns are around 300k and that's the drone queens. I'm not saying change it back to how it was, but maybe take another look at spawn values at current Jita prices and tweak them.
EveGate is nice so far. I just wish contract status and active market order status had been included in the things you could check out of game.

As I mentioned before. It's not the drops I have issues with, it's not only the lvl 5's but even the lvl 4's seem to mostly be in low sec now. Unless you move to .8+ systems 5 jumps or more from low sec. And there are not many agents of good quality in those areas. Plus with so many people moving to the few systems there that still kinda work, the traffic is worse (not more spread out like CCP was supposedly trying to do. 46/52 lvl 4 missions I tried to pull have been in low sec. |

really?which jita?the one with 307mils/plex? and without 90% of the bs drop in missions do u REALLY have enough reprocessed loot for ur own ship production? and u said something about the mineral price atm.how do u think the market will be when more and more people will start mining, because they see this so called boost in price.like in any market(RL market) the intervention of say..official government in its free market by regulating prices must be done carefully BUT not at the expense of the majority of its tax payers. as for the guy that said something about blizting missions, how does that make any sense when the only good thing from that is or was for the l5 missions, recte for plain and simple lps.does anyone run missions for getting only the reward given by the agents?an average l4 mission gives u about 2 mils in reward but in bounty 5mils or more and 2-3K lps and now with almost no loot worth.and no,it's not 5-10% lose of income but much more and only in ONE direction, the mission runners. i don't think that all these people like to complain for the pleasure of hearing themselves, some make good arguments.

I have been a devoted adovate of ccp and eve in general through the years. Saying this, i strongly condemn the issuance of lvl 5 missions in low sec as entirely impractical. It far to easy to covertly scan and probe a party with a small gang than is justifiable or logical. Only a standing force able to pressure pirates is able to counter act their pressence. This is not available to the vast majority of capsulers. I am not asking to make lvl 5's easier, or harder , or more accesible; I ask ccp to make it POSSIBLE. Consider this a last request from a humble player. If ccp can't realize the folly in delegating aspects of the game to a priviliged few then ill be the first to declare foul. I hope ccp can rectify this incongruency accordingly.
Furthermore, I am amazzed at the incompliance of dev's/gm's to respond to my polite requests to counsel. 4 years as a faithful as a patron to eve doesn't buy you much my friends.
Humbly,

Posted - 26/05/2010 20:43:00 - QuoteEVE Online: Tyrannis deployment has completed, and weÆre interested in what you have to tell us about the expansion. This is the place to offer your general feedback on Tyrannis, not to report issues or bugs.
A separate thread for issues can be found here.
what have been completed i see no change so why i spreading false info ? CCP Shadow why are you saying what is not true ? since 18th of may you promise us planet interaction and so far we seen only a you tube video so when will you finally do what you promise for weeks or the Dev Team of Eve not capable to do what they promise . Fact is we have a new log in screen a new music and some new items on the market but that's it all in all only big words but the promised feature witch you advertise are no where to be seen so I ask you to finally commit to your promises and show this planet interaction you had enough time to delay Tyrannis so stop asking for a feedback that you hold back I feel like i sit in a restaurant where the main dish is just a picture on a plate you call that a fair treatment ?

the problem is that ccp dev team and GM are either not willing to prove that the planet interaction is the biggest failure of all times or why are still not willing to release the Planet Base Structures it seems to me advertising yes but showing something is not possible for them to do or how else you can explain that constant delaying of the new feature and not getting to the point why look at this thread they ask for a feedback if the key item is hold back from the CCP management if someone can provide an answer to this go ahead i cant ask for a feedback if there is nothing to be judged or can you rate a planetary interaction if the important item is been delayed hold back and constantly excused for what did CCP held mass testing events if the out turn was 0 cause there is still no base to be bought on the market and as i seen the tutorial that's the key feature of this update in the first place and good point it just shows how much they really care about concern of the paying community namely none i am very disappointed for such good credits and prizes Eve Online got if they cant even do what they promise misrable performance for All CCP Members

LOOKS LIKE CCP SCREWED UP ONCE AGAIN... Come on fellas from CCP ger your heads screwed on right and come out with a way better expansion. Listen to the player base... yes you came out with planetary interaction, but you screwed up missions, you bit the pooch with that sorry excuse of insurance fixes(not a fix but screw up). What else... the overview you bug that you said you meant to do... lol yea right you scewed up. Umm i can must likely go on forever... Go back to the bascis... the game was fun and exciting so many damn bugs now makes me not even want to undock since if there is a bug you wont admit there is one and wont replace ships due to your bug... this game is yours... SO THE BUGS CREATED ARE SERVER SIDE NOT CLIENT SIDE!

Petition if you get that mission. Have the name of the last regualr agent that you used to get the storyline mission handy. The GMs can give fix the issue. (being nice doesn't hurt either).

while not thrilled by the nerfing of the loot from battleships it's not exactly the end of the world for me at least.
what does hurt is limiting your contacts list to a mere 300 people. my list got truncated in the low E's over that. so many of the villains and bounders i've tagged over the years are now getting a free pass.

Wanted to ask this since the expansion was deployed:
Why there was no mention of new textures for battleships in patch notes, and why, as much as I can see, are there no updated textures for them, except the one for Scorpion?
I should note that I'm not speaking about the updated Scorpion look, but the textures. They, as this dev blog mentioned, were going to be updated for all EVE ships, and, as the Tyrannis feature page mentioned, battleships were going to be the class which the textures would be updated for, in Tyrannis.

if you have not noticed till now they promise more then they can do advertising and then when it comes to fact only delays excuses and reduction of features 8th June ccp really after that goofing you shown in the last weeks no chance for what you have a test server if you fail so miserably

CONTACTS!
Please add the ability to create folders and group contacts ... why was this removed in the first place?
I have: - groups of real life friends - groups of characters I trade with or who were active in the same markets - war targets and former war targets - friends made in the game in different corps
These do not share the same simple categorization derived from standings.
- What if I have friends in corps that I am currently at war with? - What if I want to quickly see which of my friends are currently on-line - What if I want to see which members of a specific war target corp are currently on-line
None of this functionality is available with the current contact implementation without player specifiable folder groupings on contacts which existed prior to this patch.
I can "Create Folder" under Agents, I can "Create Folder" under places ... why is this missing from Contacts? Why are the original folders I created missing. At the present time, it is impossible to manage the contacts since war targets from a dozen corps are mixed with casual friends and trading contacts.
In any case, to make the contacts marginally useful in the short term I have had to delete over 350 contacts representing almost 4 years of accumulated information. Perhaps it should have been cleaned up a while ago but this clean up should not have been forced due to missing an obvious feature for any contact application.
Just IMHO ... overall the update seems pretty good ... we'll see how PI runs when it is rolled out ... but I still have difficulty understanding why the internal structure of everyone's contact list had to be destroyed to support the revised contact implementation.

Tyrannis feedback.
Sun û Looks worse.
Lag û Still awful
Missions û My biggest gripe is that my high sec agent is giving me courierÆs missions with a low sec destination for 185K isk. Does CCP expect me to accept courier missions to low sec? You are damn right they will be declined. They shouldnÆt expect anyone to accept them and they shouldnÆt even be offered. Let me set this matter straight. If I donÆt want to go to low sec I wonÆt go. ItÆs that simple.

So because you won't go they shouldn't offer them? I'm sure other people are willing to man up, put a warp core stabiliser on their ship and set off to low sec.

Considering you run courier missions already, I suspect so.
PS: A warp core stab is about 30k isk, so it would pay itself off in only one mission.

Edited by: Wendelgard on 04/06/2010 07:04:09 I noted that in Tyrannis the targeting range of the vessels has apperently cut down. I have Long Range Targeting IV and in a Hurricane was used to lock targets within 54 kilomtres. By now I have to approach to 28 kilometres to lock the targets. A quick search in the patch notes lead to no results. I would be pleased if the state restore the patch was restored. Any other other information is also apprieciated.
Thanks,

I think this new patch is awful. Before the patch, Most missions were in the same system as the agent. Now Most of them are not. Bad enough that this means we have to waste our time traveling, but now lvl 2 and 3 agents are sending us in to low sec to run missions. Nut just a few. But aout of 4 agents i was given 8 low sec missions out of 9 offered. I'm refusing more missions than i can accept.

What happened CCP? Did you fire all your devs and now have a bunch of 30k a year developers? You guys were rocking all the way up until Dominion...you *do* realize this right? Apoc actually fixed the lag..1000v1000 was possible, 300v300 was nightly.
