Ice has a lower density than liquid water, thus ice should float, not sink.

Hell no, I watched it float slowly downwards, then rest there. _____ ^ That is a sig line. It should be there without me having to put one in. |

The glass was using a tractor beam to bring it in range to salvage the hydrogen and oxygen from the ice-cube.

Edited by: Velcro fly on 19/06/2010 18:06:49 the ice is far to perfect to be ice, there clearly is some sort of larger conspiracy here.
I think that the whole expert team are actually taking some sort of mind altering drugs disguised as ice cubes and sparkling water.
Also sparkling water, you bunch of girls, Soundwave you should be on the Jack!!!!!!!!!

Heavy water frozen into ice will sink in normal water. Though that's some mighty expensive ice.

this.
however, the heavy water does not have to be super-pure. I think it should be viable to produce enough in a home lab by doing multi-stage electrolysis.
