Hey how about using the brilliant back story that eve has and actually putting up events and things that happen in the politics of the 4 empires. And im not talking about four apoc¦s showing up in Molden heath shouting that the ammatar have claimed the region.
CCP i know it¦s a radical idea and you will brush it away , but hell im a catholic so i can pray.
BTW : This world is starting to feel dead , sorry for the bad post but hell i have sticked with you all this game becouse it¦s great but at momnet i have no hope of acctually nothing happening in the political landscape of the world. Shouts go out to Sir Molle and BOB for actually playing one of the roles of what ccp should be doing , and they dont even get paid for it.
Please make me happy.

Yes an entity known as BoB would sell the series real well.

TBH an EVE movie would be frustrating for people like us who know the game and the backstory. To make it make sense to the movie market they would have to start off from scratch and explain the whole backstory, which we already know. Otherwise the vast majority of the audience wont have a clue what the characters are on about. ----------------------------------------- Everlasting Vendetta PVP Commander, yarr

I still don't know what forsaken empire you're on about and I've really been trying, I've come to credit it to booster abuse on your part.

oh yes james cameron is teh crap Tim Burton would be son much better
I would recomend making a movie revolving around the Sanshas, they are the perfect evil empire. Then create a combined team from the major empires who then combat the sansha threat.

If you wanna make an EVE movie, do it in a way that it actualy does NOT have ANYTHING to do with the game in its current state.
Have the EVE movie start off a few (27) thousand years ago.
Set the Eve Movie to the begining of the story, the discovery and initial exploration of the EVE system, by Earth. Have it finish up with the collapse of the EVE gate, you can show that cataclysmic event, and perhaps as a teaser, a small parting shots of the few surviving colonies that will one day become the EVE that we now reside in.
That way if it does well enough, there could be a sequal.
Any follow up movies, or series from it, can be either set back in the same time frame, or more currently.
Personaly I think staying back in time may be a better way to do it, that way it actualy does not directly effect what we are doing in game ATM.
Dont take your gaming too serious ! |

In any-case, while an Eve-movie would be nice, I doubt CCP would have the funding to be able to do so on their own, so they'd need funding from a production company to do so, and that would be a hard task in itself...
No, making Videogames based on movies tend to be screw ups, making mowied based on videogames, expesialy MMO videogames got more chanse of sucksess
no to mention Tomb Raider, abaut every other movie has been scusess and MMO's got beter storyline .. i whuld imagine m0o corp on holywood whitscreen

You are kidding right?
Let me name some films based on Videogames for you that haven't exactly been successes:
Tomb Raider Tomb Raider II Super Mario Brothers Wing Commander Final Fantasy: The Spirits within Double Dragon Street Fighter Mortal Kombat: Annihilation
Films that have enjoyed reasonable success:
Resident Evil (dunno much about II) Mortal Kombat Anyone care to mention any others?
Now if I were to name every video-game based on films that succeeded, it would have to take up two forum posts...
Now try thinking about what you said, and write a hundred lines, 'I will not be silly with my assumptions on what is more successful again'
