Any idea how long the wait will be? I'm really looking forwards to joining something bigger that is well structured.
I'm really looking forwards to the structured team aspect of being in this corp.
Hang in there, it is well worth the wait. Got accepted in officially yesterday, and already seen more action than i ever expected i could.
Great fun

I'm really interested in your Corp, but unfortunately I refuse to use Teamspeak as it has a habit of crippling my system (every incarnation has since I was playing Neocron).
If you should consider moving back to Ventrillo, send me an an eve-mail.
Regards.

As all of our membership (at present 122 and growing daily)is using Teamspeak it would be unfair to ask them all to change because one person is having problems.
I do not wish to put you off but please explore the possibility that maybe your setup needs tweaking.
As the use of TS is mandatory in our corps, please when you get sorted visit our site, complete an application and someone will get back to you.
Looking forward to chatting with you again.
Cheers

Having read your post and your forums it looks as though the application process is very long and drawn out. Is it really as long as it seems??
I am an experienced PVP'er from Essex and am looking for a home to settle in. But i dont wanna spend the next 3 days in interviews and chat channels before even being allowed in the corp!

How long most often depends on the candidate (i.e. YOU). It sometimes depends on the backlog (if any) we have at any given time.To explain a little.
The first step, is you taking the time to fill in the application on the website. This is then processed, and an evemail is sent you asking you to send us screenshots. This part is generally done within 24 hours max. Often within minutes, it depends when you fill the form in, and who is online in HR to process it at the time.
How long you take to send screenshots back to us, if you get them right or not etc takes some more time. How long depends on many factors, again, but is always done asap.If you follow the instructions in the evemail, it doesn't take very long.
This is all required as part of our security measures. There are no shortcuts to it.
Should all be ok so far, you will then be contacted in-game for an interview. The interview can take around 30 minutes, just depends how it goes, how many questions you, or we have etc. How long it takes to contact you, depends mostly how active you are in game. The more you log in, the more chance of being seen and approached for interview.
If you pass the interview you may be offered a place in the Acadamy there and then, or we may need to get back to you, depending on the results of the interview. Then, once again mostly up to you, how long your IN-GAME application takes to process. This can be seconds, or days. Depends when you file it. Some file it at the same time as when making the website application, some do it after the interview. Some never do it, so never get in. Some take days after an offer to file it. And so on...
Yes, it is some work. It is a lot more work for us than you, the applicant. However we feel each step is needed, to insure we get the best applicants possible, while maintaining as high a security as possible.
I have done all the above, and got people into the Acadamy, fully, in under an hour. Other times it takes weeks, from start to finish.
I like to think of this as the first evaluation of a candidate. If you can't do this, your not UKC material, you simply don't have the commitment we require.
For those who have done this, and get in the Corp, as you can read above, they think it is worth it.

I have been in the corp officially for a few days now, although I have been in communication for a couple of weeks. I have nothing but good things to say about my experiences so far within the corp and now especially seems an exciting time to be a part of them.
Would happily recommend this corp to any UK based players looking for a home.

If you are a UK player their is no better corp than the UKC, simple as that.
There are so many options in this corp it makes your head spin, so dont sit back and watch from a distance sign up.
Oh and if you ask nicely they give you some stuff but keep that between us ok.

Hi guys, I have heard some really great thinks about the corp and I would love to join UKC. I am a newbie (learning fast) but I have had plenty of past MMO experience. I will be filling out the form on your website but first I would like to ask yourselves a few questions.
(sorry, I know this isnĘt The Weakest Link)
Are you still recruiting?
I have read on your website that you sometimes use Vent for your interviews but I have also read on this thread that you use TS, I would like to be prepared so could you please inform me which one it is please?
I see from your website it says a new member will be given a role in the academy but what is expected of new members when they join?
If I wanted to mine most of the time but also do a bit of PvP (or visa-versa) would this be possible? (just asking because you have different divisions.)
I was going to post this in the UKC website but I thought if you could reply to these questions here it might help other players. It also bumps the thread.
thaks guys, hope to fly with you soon.

We are a very active and busy Corp, we are always recruiting, and have our own HR department set up for this, so get that application in and we will process it asap.

We now use Teamspeak, although you don't have to use it for the interview. There is a step by step guide to setting it up on the website when you join with all the server details etc.

Your expected to join in with as many of the activities as you can, one of them is a weekly mining Op, and mandatory. Other than that, your expected to learn our ways of doing things, fit in, read the forums to keep up to date, and most important, haev fun and enjoy your stay with us!

Anything is possible when you join, do what you enjoy the most. You can switch divisions, or even Corps, as your game evolves, and as you fancy doing different things in EvE.

I've been in this corp now for 2 weeks, and to put it simply if you live in the UK and you're not in the UKC then you're missing out big time. Become the player you have always wanted to be and join now.

I joined justs over a week ago and in that short time I've had more fun and made more isk than in all the time I'd been playing before.
There's always something on and there's always somebody able to help or offer assistance.
So if you're in one of those corps where no one helps or they're all interested in their own thing and you want to be part of something bigger come and give it a go!
(Of course you've got to live in the UK but that's all they ask of you!

Some updated info for those who read this.
UKC will also now accept people from any countries, in addition to living in the UK, as long as your a Brit now living abroad. This is to help coincide with the next stage of the UKC vision, and to meet a growing demand for entry by these people!
I guess you like making me and Spavin work!
So if your an ex-pat you can now also apply. You will have people on with you in your timezones. For more information apply, and ask for further details during the interview.
We are also looking for more people who are pvp players, again this is part of the next stage of the UKC development. So if your into pvp and want to join our already active 0.0 team, get in touch.
This does not mean in any way we are not looking for other types of players! As we have always done, we will take all types of players and let you see what EvE is all about, and help you realise what you want to achieve. So if your out of trial, and want to join a great corp who are really going places, do apply.
Cheers

I joined UKC Academy just over 4 months ago. I was new to the game and they helped me learn all the basics.I joined in training ops, complexes, mining ops, ran missions with corp mates and joined in Security Force operations to kill war targets.
After my first month I was promoted to full ukc member. I still took part in all the weekly complex runs and mining ops. All training ops were cancelled and I joined in with hunting groups to kill hostiles who dared to come close to our home. I continued to learn more and more about the game and gained PVP experience.
That lasted for a while untill UKC moved home and the main UKC moved into 0.0. The academy stayed in empire to continue to train members.I stayed in empire with the academy participating in all corp events untill UKC empire division was formed.
Im now living in UKC empire division and still learning. Every week im welcoming new members who join the academy with hopes of either joining our empire division or making their new home in 0.0 with the top pvpers of UKC corp.
This is my experience in UKC corp and from what I hear the experience is about to get even more exciting for all members involved with this great corporation.
