Edited by: nikek notlad on 27/05/2005 10:44:23 Who are we? The UKC is a medium sized corporation currently comprising of 80 active UK based players and expanding daily. These members are largely active from 18:00 to midnight UK time every evening and all weekend - at least a dozen members logged at all times and anything between 20-40 most evenings. We are extremely well organised, enthusiastic and energetic with regular corp events and there are NO in-active members. We have an academy for new starters and a range of roles for more experienced players. We are financially secure, self sufficient and multi-facited.
What are we doing? The UKC has formed a number of 'departments' to specialise in certain aspects of the corporation role-play. These include the UK-TI (Trading and Industry), the UK-SF (Security), the UK-A (Academy) and the UK-F (Freelancers). Each division managed by dirrerent teams, is fluid and is not afraid to try new things. The UKC is 'role-played' around RL corporation management with clear roles, responsibilites, strategy and direction. Our ultimate goal is to become the very biggest and best UK based corporation in EVE and eventually move on to forming our own UK alliance.
Who are we looking for? We seek only UK based players due to the time zones and only mature players prepared to take responsibility for being part of a corporation where your gaming style fits with your fellow corpies. Joining the UKC demands trust, integrity and being active. You may be a new player or experienced - but more importantly, understand (and except) the concept of team play. The use of voice comms is pretty important too - although not essential. A good sense of humour is essential and the respect for your fellow members goes without saying. We do not accept ALTS and any members with more than 1 account are expecetd to bring all accounts to the corp.
So, whats' in it for you? New members joining at this stage will be seconded into the UKC departments depending on their skills, aspirations and UKC needs at the time. All new recruits will start at Rank 8 where they will remain for a minimum of 14 days. The ranking structure can be found here. The UKC has an impressive organisational structure taking full advantage of the in-game mechanics and allowing members to quickly develop. Roles, responsibilities and ownership are fully delegated to those that want it and you will be given immediate access to corporation hangars. Freelancers are welcome providing they are active, follow UKC charter and adhere to our rules and conditions - ranks and rights will be set accordingly.
What will be expected of you? Only active members will be accepted - those that log UK times at least 3-4 days per week. You will be expected to organise and participate in corp operations, joint missions and in-corp organised events (NOT just mining). We have one mandatory corp mining op which takes place every Monday evening (someone's gotta pay the bills). You will be expected to manage your own funds (we do NOT operate a tax system) and you will be given a 'role' to play within the corp depending on your rank, role, ambition and skills. All new members are 'buddied' up with existing members to help the transition and on-boarding process. Use of Ventrilo is essential and a web-forum culture is all but mandatory (that's how you know what's going on). The recruitment process is described here and will involve an voice comm interview, Board review and possible security clearance. All applications are triggered by our forum registrationonly and can take up to 1 week.
Are you ambitious? The UKC is developing at an unbelievable rate and is rapidly establishing it's position as the UK's premier corporation. Good management, decision making, strategy, organisation and planning are key. But - above all - we have a core membership of UK based player that get along and understand each other - sharing the same goals, protocols and culture. We demand maturity and respect - we know its only a game - but we intend to be the best. If you sign-up to the UKC you will be signing-up to our strategy, culture and protocol.
For more information contact Deor, Lord Tinker, Lady Vivienne, Jonhill Gallent or Quish in-game or apply here or visit the UKC web-site .

We are pleased to announce that the UK corp now has a recruitment Director - Keiran. Please direct all enquiries in-game to keiran.
We have had a superb response to this recruitment drive and are now looking to make take the next wave of new pilots. In particular we are looking for UK time zone based players with a minimum of 4 weeks experience.
One vacancy that we are still keen to fill is for a teacher/trainer. We are recruiting many new players and need someone to 'show them the ropes' in the early days.

Our recruitment drive continues to gather momentum as 4 new members joined last week. In fact it was a very good week for the corp as we managed to build and sell over 10 Cylcones together with a whole host of other goodies. The reward from one of our R&D agents of the WOLF BPO was most welcome

I have just joined the UK Corp and they are great guys. They have taken so much time out to walk me through the game and the things that I have to know and do. They are also always happy to answer any questions that you may want to ask etc. Really good Corporation and I would advise anyone to join this group of guys. Can't recomend them high enough.
If that wasn't enough they also set me up so that I had a good start in the game and now i am well over half a million credits and only been playing the game 2 days. A really superb corporation. So don't think about it ........ Join now!

Edited by: Deor on 21/03/2005 11:15:46 Greetings all, I have been with the UK Corp for a month or so now and we have been expanding quickly. I have recently joined the recruitment team so i thought a post here was in order.
As you can see from all the posts above, we have a very active corp with a great community spirit. We have a well structured web forum system with a wealth of info that is useful to players new and old. The corp make extensive use of voice comms which is invaluable for our low sec mining ops, group mission running and complex hunting.
If you in the UK and are looking for mature friendly people to fly with why not give us a call.
New players welcome, we can help you get started in the world of Eve and make it a lot less scary!

HEY YOU, YES YOU To all you guys out there, are you a UK based player? Are you either looking for a move into your first player corp or are you fed up with the low activity, no direction, no goals dead end corp you are currently stuck in? Then UK Corp is the place for you!
WHY? WHAT SO SPECIAL? I've been with the corp for about three weeks now and there's always somthing new going on. Within 1 week of gameplay we've had the semi finals of our PvP frigate contest, a mass 0.2sec mining trip, a live fire escort drill (shoot your mates in the back for fun!) and a mass trading trip with over 70mill ISK turnover on one trip, not to mention our regular weekly mining session.
CAN THEY SUPPORT MY OWN GAME AIMS? We have the full range of pilots in the corp from brand new n00bs trying to work out what the hells going on to very experienced guys who have been playing for years. Whatever problems you hit in game someone will probabily know the answer (don't let me down corp mates!) What ever you what to do be it mining, combat, trading, missions or production the corp has a project for you. If your new and finding your feet you can try out lots of different things to see what you really want to do.
WHERE CAN I FIND OUT MORE? Look at our lively UKC web site at www.ukc-eve.net or contact Deor, Lady Vivienne or Liberty Red in game.
WHAT ABOUT YOU? With the exception of deciding to try eve in the first place, the best gaming choice I have ever made! JOIN UKC TODAY!

The second is definately not to be missed, a frigate fleet will take part in a Battleship assault mission. The BS to be piloted by our glorious CEO no less! Come on, which other corp would give you the chance to be put in a pod by your CEO? See I told you it would be fun! Join us at www.ukc-eve.net or convo me, Lady Vivienne or Deor in game.

Edited by: Narcissa on 26/04/2005 11:05:30 I have been with the UKC for a month now and I love it.
They are creating something special at the UK Corporation and have brought together many of the good things which I look for in a corp. -Active membership. They boast a very active members roster which is pruned of inactives regularly. Around 70 members in the corp and growing steadily. -UK Based. It is common to see 20-40 members online in the evenings (GMT 1900-2300) and at weekends. -Varied Communications. Voice comms (Ventrillo), busy website & forums (www.ukc-eve.net) and a lively in-game corp channel all help to keep members up to date with the latest news and events. -Organised Corp Structure. The corp charter and guidelines are well documented, the rank structure/promotion table is published and the corp's future strategy is already outlined, so each member knows what is expected of them and what their expectations of the corp should be. -Varied Operations. They cater for all playing styles at the UKC. The corp has operational divisions which cover various aspects of EVE; trade, industry, combat, agents etc.
If you are based in the UK and looking for an organised corp which is going places, check out the UKC. Contact Deor, Lady Vivienne or Liberty Red for more information.

We are now based in low sec space and as a result are very busy making our mark and estabilishing our reputation with our new friends and enemies. As a result of this, we are looking to rapidly expand our membership but retain the quality of our recruits. We have vacancies in all departments be it mining and production, trading, freelancing or PvP (Two separate groups here, the UKC police force and the UKC navy. The PF always get their man, the navy; well you just don't want to know the the gory details!) Whatever your experience, whatever your goals, if you are a UK player check out our website, read our charter and decide; do I join the best or...? Look forward to hearing from you soon!

You guys look like an excellent, well organized corp that is the kind of organization I'm looking to join. I want to make sure that I join a corp that's right for me as well as one where I have what you're looking for. So, I have a couple of questions:
1) I see that you have an "active members" policy where you want players to log in 3-4 times per week. I travel a lot in RL, and so my EVE playing is sporadic - I'll play a lot for several days in a row, but then several weeks could pass before I can get my fix. Is there a place in UKC for me?
2) Ventrilo: is it mandatory?
3) Are you at war with anyone? I've been playing for a couple of months, don't have a ton of skillpoints and don't wanna get ganked in Empire in a corp war just yet.
4) I'm making my money by trading and hauling, but want to learn PvP too. Can you teach me to fight?
Thanks folks

Quote: You guys look like an excellent, well organized corp that is the kind of organization I'm looking to join. I want to make sure that I join a corp that's right for me as well as one where I have what you're looking for. So, I have a couple of questions:
Hi m8 One of our team will contact you in-game to answer these and any other questions you may have. Also, please feel free to post to our guest forum at the UKC-EVE.NET web site.
In the short term, let me answer your question about logging activity. The UKC management recognise that there are many many players that log infrequently or prefer to 'do their own thing' whilst also having somewhere to 'hang their hat' so to speak. With this in mind, the UKC is organised into several 'divisions' which are glued together to form the main corp. One of those divisions is a freelance division (UK-F). The division is geared to allow members such as yourself to come and go as you please providing that you are signed-up to our charter. There are no demands, pressures or expectations of this division but equally, there are no corporation priviledges other than being part of the UKC.
Finally, I note you spell organisation with a zee (z) - are you UK based - if not then I just wasted 10 minutes of my life replying

If you are an Ex-pirate who has repented and given up his dark ways then yes we could look at you application.
However if you are still a pirate and your heart is truly black then I don't think there would be a place for you in UKC at the moment.

I have been in the UK Corp for 5 days now. In that time i have been greatly impressed in the organisation of the corp, and also the maturity of its members in the way they play EVE.
I have not been put under any pressure to caryy out 'tasks' for the corp, indeed i have been left to find my feet and explore my new surroundings.
I would highly reccomend UK Corp as the right one to join.
See you in Corp Channel

Edited by: nikek notlad on 15/05/2005 09:02:48 URGENT REQUIREMENT...
The UKC is seeking to recruit an experienced EVE player (1 yr plus) for the following role..
Title : Academy Drill Sergeant. Location: 0.9 system 8 jumps from the main UKC offices (0.3) Duties: Take full control of the UK-A (UK Academy) which currently has around 20 members. Working closely with the other UK divisions you will be responsible for managing all new recruits for the first 14 (active) days of their careers with the UKC. This does NOT include the recruitment or signing-up of new players. You will take all new recruits through a basic training programme which has already been defined with support from the other Rank 3 managers in the main corp. You will be totally responsible for the management and day-to-day running of the UK-A including the office management, funding and co-ordination of all training. You will also be responsible for developing your own training programmes and recruiting your own support team from either within the UKC or externally.
Applicants should have a minimum of 12 months EVE experience and be very good communicators, patient and knowledgeable. Use of voice comms is mandatory and a desire to help and teach other pilots is a pre-requisite. Only UK based pilots should apply and proof of skills and references will be required.
This is a senior role within the UKC and offers a Rank 3 role and priviledges(see our organisational chart - no names)and see our Ranks and Roles here. Please post your applications on the UKC guest forum or post to this thread.

So you started playing Eve a few days/weeks ago, learnt the basics, started skilling up and by now have earned a little ISK mining or running agent missions. Almost certainly wondering what the game is all about and more importantly what part you will fulfil in the months to come.
When I started playing Eve it was like my first day at school all over again; didnÆt know a thing, didnÆt know anyone!!, only here there was no teachers; I was expected to learn everything from my fellow students and a library that is stocked with just a few basic books.
With little direction and support from the Noobie Corp, it didnÆt take long before I started to look for a Corporation that would not only be great fun, but also offer me a long-term purpose and help me on my way. Unlike some, I guess I was fortunate that I didnÆt have to endure months of trial and error finding a suitable Corp.
IÆve been a member of UK Corp for a little over a month and can honestly say that I have struck gold! UKC are extremely well organised, supportive and team driven. For the beginner and the intermediate there is training, mentoring and career advice shared in a very supportive environment. For the more experienced players you can become a member of a dedicated division for Trade & Industry (Research, Production and Trading), Security Forces (Strategic System Mapping, PvP, Rat Killing and overall Corp protection) all the way up to attaining senior management positions within the UKC.
If you are located around the GMT Time Zone and welcome a friendly supportive team environment in which to play, I can recommend no other than UKC. Get in touch with our HR Team for further information. See you out there.

Just a note on how helpful I had shed loads of ore to move and 4 people offered their help to move and 3 people who have excellent refining skills offered to refine it for me. These are really great guys to work and play alongside so if you live in the UK come and speak to us!

Hi,
A couple of really simple questions :)
Are you still recruiting?
And do you accept players who have only been around a short time?
I started playing EVE again 3 days ago and pretty much immediately changed my application from trial to full. My introduction to the game was through the original beta tests prior to release so while I'm a bit out of date it's not completely new.
I'm looking to initially go down the fighting route but move into sciences and manufacturing.
And for the UK bit... based in north London :)

I have been a member of Uk COrp now for just over a month. In this time I have learnt and experienced more aspects of the game, than i have in my previous year of primeraly doing agent missions. I still do agent missions but now mix this up into a nice concoxion of Corp Ops, PVP, and more recently have taken part in my first War.
All in all an amazingly well organised and structured corp. Not to mention a very good laugh along the way.
Jon us and play Eve the way it should be played.

Quick question. I'm thinking ahead to what to do next after i've earnt myself my shiney new cruiser, and a nice UK-based corp sounds like a good option. However;
Voice comms: Is it essential or not?
Your initial advert says both.
Only i live in a busy house and my PC is next to the wife's. The last thing i fancy doing (and that she will fancy me doing!) is cutting myself off from people by wearing headphones and then irritating them further by chatting out-loud to people that aren't there.

Edited by: Narcissa on 16/06/2005 14:16:57 Hi Theo,
It is essential to have the capability of using Ventrillo chat, but it doesn't have to be on 23/7.
Like yourself I have to share my gaming space with other people, and sometimes the use of voice comm is not appropriate (esp. BBC1@730pm ). Most of the time you can do fine without the use of voice as day-to-day communications are done through the forums or in-game chat.
However, in certain situations (mass combat for example) where things can change quickly, the ability to at least listen in to the voice channel does become essential.

Okay, pondered :)
I'd just like to check out my current approach then regards to applying for you chaps, if thats okay?
This is actually my 2nd time on Eve, my 1st time about a year back went v poorly after joining a pants corp and before i was ready. So this time round i've done my best to learn from then and so i intend to earn some bits and pieces i've got my heart set on BEFORE signing up for a Corp. This way i won't have a 15yr old CEO yelling at me all the time for daring to want to actually earn things for myself (told you it was a pants Corp).
So i've given myself my first fortnight to get where i want to be, namely with a good general skill grounding and having earnt myself an Exequorer <sp?>. Its been 5 days so far and i've just got my first million ISK as well as a decent Frigate set-up, so i'm hopeful :)
It has also reminded me how bloody dull mining on your lonesome can be...thank God i sit next to a tv!
But i digress (Oooo, not used the word 'digress' in months, go me!), is this a reasonable sounding set-up and outlook to go behind a worthy application for the UKC? Last thing i want to do i mess anybody around, and i don't want to set my heart on any Corp too early only to find that my enjoyment of self-achievement doesn't mesh with how they like to work. Don't get me wrong, i enjoy a good fun group mine, and would love to one day be shown how this whole 'fighty' thing is done, but i also like to earn stuff for myself. Follow?
Anyways, just let me know as and when, no mad rush (still got 9 days and a good 2mil ISK to go, market prices depending, am counting on a good weekend). I've checked out the requirements and Ventrillo should be no problem (though i'm likely to be more of a listener on it rather than a chat-beast, i save that for test *grin*), nor should the 3-4 sessions per week. Oh yes, and i'm most certainly UK based.

Hi Theo, nice to see you are enjoying EVE again. In terms of you plans for apply to join us I see no problems with your stratagy. As a corp be believe in people being able to make their own way and earn their own ISK, we do run some good events to help people along as well. If you are looking to buy a Gallente cruiser you might like to consider the Celetis and the Vexor as well. The first is a nice all-rounder and the second a great mining vessel (with lots of drones) Convo me in game when you are ready to apply. PS our CEO is at least double the age of your last one, he still shouts from time to time tho

Theo, you should have no issues with the UKC. My style of play is like yours, I also like self achievement but also group activities. There is certainly no pressure in the UKC to do anything, but we do have a weekly group mining session which you are encouraged to attend. It's actually quite good fun, seeing how quickly 20+ of us can clear a belt
I only ever listen on Vent, and that is no issue either for the other corp-ees ---------------------------

There, applied on website now (after loads of problems. Turns out i had to make an 'n/a' entry even in the fields that didn't apply, just to get it to submit. On Netscape it would even tell me what the error was, had to refill it all out again in IE...just so other would-be subscribers know).
Still a wee bit confused re Ventrillo though. Got it downloaded, got a desktop mic. Do i need headphones as well or can i still hear folks just fine through it over my regular speakers? IF i'm successful i'm likely to need a bit of help getting it all sorted (especially as i have to get it through my firewall/router) and i've got no means of testing it really until i've got a server to test it with.

Hiya, Pretty sleak campaign you got going here .
Questions:-
I don't cry when i fall over or bang my knees anymore...whats the average age of members there? (like one guy said, i don't wanna be yelled at by some pubeless punk)
I've done very little on the 'Mission front' upto yet so, i'm about as useful as a one legged man in a arse-kicking competition when it comes to missions, will this affect my application?
About that mining op you do once a week...i work a 4 on 4 off days/nights (7 till 7) alternate, i won't be able to make that one night about once a fortnight, will this affect my application?
Have been with EVE since day one and have built up some pretty impressive skills as far as gunnery goes and have had most of my fun from pvp'ing, will these skills be wasted in a corp which (up to now) has mentioned nothing about pvp?
I'm from Liverpool, will that affect my application

Certainly not! Solo Missions are anti-social anyway :D We try and find multi-player roles in this multiplayer game ;)

UKC is a great corp to be a part of and has roles to suite almost any type of player. As a relatively new member of the corp and to EVE I wanted to give you my impressions of the corp as a whole and the various departments.
UKC-Academy I joined the UKC as a complete newcomer to the game, the support I have been given by the UKC-A has been really fantastic. We have a chat window specifically for academy members and the quality of information and support given to use noobies is great. Each new member is assigned a buddy, to help with every aspect of the game. Buddies typically are interested in the same aspects of the game as you and will guide you through anything and everything. It really is a fantastic way of getting to know the game and people in the corp.
UKC-Trade and Industry If you want to trade mine or build then this department is for you. The corp makes most of its own ships and these are the guys that make them. You get a discount depending on your ranking in the corp or you can just bring them the minerals and theyÆll build them for you. This also goes for most modules and equipment. As well as the weekly mining op (which can be a lot of fun, and a very impressive sight to behold) there are groups of TI mining frequently. We have one POS (Player Owned Station) and plans for at least a few more, the TI is the department if youÆre interested in these stations. I donÆt know a lot about this side of the game but these guys really do and they can help you achieve your ambitions of massive wealth and asteroid destruction.
UKC-SF (security force) These are the warriors of the corp and they are mighty good at what they do! We have recently been at war with up to 4 merc corps and in every major confrontation the SF have decimated the opposition. (Biggest fleet IÆve been apart of was about 25 ships and we destroyed 80% of the guys we engaged) We have of course taken losses but these have primarily been new members, not obeying instructions or being camped by opportunistic enemies. In most cases the enemies have just run from the SF and just preyed on the noobies (which is really quite pathetic but hey) There is a rigid command structure in the SF and boy do these guys know what they are doing. I have been on a few opÆs with them (they even find a place for total noobies in PvP if you are interested, so you start getting experience straight away) and the British Army would be proud of the organisation, tactics and leadership which I have been witness to. I would not be surprised if some of the SF leaders are ex-military or TA after listening to then on ventrio(voice coms used by SF and corp) During times of war the SF provide great escort services and intelligence to allow the rest of the corp to pretty much carry on as normal. If you want PvP combat, then decent corps like the UKC will always attract attention and the SF is the place for you.
UKC-HR These people are the core of the UKC and are responsible for the smooth running of the corp as well as the recruitment and disciplinary matters. They are a great bunch and if you apply to the corp they will be contacting you shortly. I have recently been promoted myself to the HR team, which just goes to show if you are dedicated to the corp you will be rewarded.
We have a great CEO in Nik and a great bunch of directors helping Nik to run the show. All of them are very approachable to anyone and everyone in the corp and they are all strong leaders. As the corp continues to enlarge, more and more positions will have to be created. If you have aspirations of leadership then the UKC will always need people with strong leadership skills.
Eve is so much more fun when you belong to a decent corp, you goals become larger and the whole experience becomes more involved and challenging. If you want to be a part of a great team of people, you live in UK/Ireland and are online regularly then this is the corp for you.

The UKC is currently recruiting for PvP pilots both in leadership and team scenarios as the corp prepares for a major stage of development.
Also, anyone interested in the 'teaching/training' aspects of Eve would be welcome to support our extensive academy.
If you are UK based and want to join an active corp - then the UKC is the place for you.
Please visit www.ukc-eve.net for more details or contact Lord Tinker, Jonhill Gallent, Joe Jardine, Smog Monster or Dr Draconian in-game for more information.

What is the likely hood of wars ending? Do you proactively seek hostilities?
Being a seasoned player, I have alot to loose through getting podded etc if I were to apply to join the mighty UKC

Currently the ukc is no longer at war. We have plans to protect our newer members in the event of war and recent wars had little effect on our members. (Except the security forces who had great fun PvPing) We are a peace loving corp and have so far not war dec'd anyone. The previous wars were with merc corps of an unknown reason. Any questions contact me ingame or on our forums www.ukc-eve.net Whoever does not try, does not learn |

These guys are Great. From the second I joined the corp I was made welcome. I was shown around, assigned a buddy (a more experienced corp member who helps you with any questions among other things to help with life in the world of EVE) and greeted by every corp member.
There are always other members online and the corp chat channel is always active. There is even a UKC-Academy chat channel where you can ask questions about anything.
UKC is a very well run corp with all its members taking an active role. ItÆs a great gaming environment and I would recommend it to anyone.

And here's my tuppence, sorry to keep y'all waiting.
As you can see from a few pages up *points* i applied to join these bods about 3 weeks back. They let me in (the fools!).
Now, having been with them a little while, i've been able to see how things go on here and what they're like.
They're grand.
You see, in my opinion, all MMO games ultimately become very dull after a point if you keep playing on your lonesome, and Eve is no exception. I sit at home with the tv just to my left, The Wife on the other side of that and a nice calm soothing fish-tank to my right and yet i STILL want to cut my own wrists after several hours of solo-mining (good job that fish aren't sharp, eh?).
The lovely peeps (tm Christian, WWE) here have managed to save me from this prospect of aquatic injury. They're (mostly *wink*) good people. I can have (mostly *wink*) a laugh with them. I have given out no less than FIVE GOLD STARS in the last three days, thats just how good some of these people are.
You see Eve, like all MMOs, is just a game. Wars, ships, mining, isk, rank, 0.0, yadda yadda yadda none of them really matter all that much when all else is said and done, not so long as You Are Having Fun (in my opinion, of course).
With (some of *wink*) the chaps on here, i have just that.
As such i can ask for no more.
Now, if you'll excuse me, i seem to have developed a a strange twitch. Toodleoo y'all.
Be seeing ya :)

I have been with the corp for a few months now and it just keeps getting better. I want to briefly highlight some aspects of corp life that make it the most fun corp for UK people.
One thing that is emphasised is activity. Membership is regularly culled of inactive members, so you don't have a huge buddies list of people you never get to meet. Currently with membership around 90 it is well possible to see 40 of them online at a time. Another aspect of activity is the constant drive to advance the corp. UKC doesn't get a chance to stagnate, because there are clear goals and plan of action and the leadership keep everything moving in the right direction. A number of exciting opportunities are coming up, if you want activity, theres more than enough going on in the UKC to fill that need.
Second is communication. As well as the in-game corp channel the corp runs a lively set of forums at www.ukc-eve.net With over a thousand posts per month. If textual intercourse isn't enough then there is a Ventrillo for chit-chat and group work. Add to that an extensive website of information on everything from current ship prices to the latest storyline news and you have enough resources to always be in the know.
Last point I want to mention is structure. Within a large multi-discipline corp that is important and the UKC is nothing if not organised. Roles are available for nearly every type of pilot, from academy newcomer, to PvP pilot, to rabid miner or industrial specialist. These roles are fitted into a rank and divisional structure which allows you to know who can do what and for those with ambition there is ability to make measured progress taking on more responsibilty in exchange for more perks :)
I could go on and on (and don't my corpers know it ) but I should leave some for others to add. So, to sum up.
If you are playing from the UK, and want to join an active and organised corp which is going places, have a chat with one of the HR guys: Jonhill Gallent, Lord Tinker, Joe Jardine, Smog Monster or Dr Draconian.
See you in-game! Narcissa

This is just to say what a fantastic corp the UKC is.
As a new player I found myself very daunted by the huge scope of Eve, and when one of my RL friends suggested this corp, I jumped at the chance.
Now as a 3 month old character, things are going from better to well better really, Ive found no end to the help UKC gives to new guys, wheter it be helping you fund that shiney new ship, or just plain advice on the best ore to mine.
The UKC has a very structured advancement process and you find that your not treated like a noob, but as an equal.
Just joined the UKC-SF and looking forward to some very interesting times.
Come on guys, do yourself a favor, if your from the UK and looking for a corp you need to look no further. Check out the website @ http://www.ukc-eve.net

The UKC is about to enter stage 3 of it's strategy. This will be a whole load of fun and a bucket load of combat.
As a result, we are specifically recruiting experienced combat orientated pilots with a proven track record in PvP and 0.0 fleet wars (not BM masters that run and hide please). Pilots with specialist skills/tactics in breaking gate camps, ganking and leading/participating in large scale operations are our main focus. Voice comms are mandatory - we use ventirlo and the ability to give and take instructions is essential. This offer is open to individual pilots looking to join our ranks or partner corportations looking to share in our success. This is not an advertisement for mercs - but, if you want some fun and want to be part of something big - come talk to us (no payments will be offered).
If you are interested in this opportunity - please contact Pepperami, Brigar Starcleaver, Lordtfk or myself in-game or sign-up at UKC-EVE.NET

Frankly saying, you should be glad you receive a reply at all. I do understand your unhappiness in the rejection. However I do understand why you got that reply. Firstly if you played eve long enough, you will understand that the mechanic of the game allows you to spy on other corporation with alt, steal stuff from corporation and etc. So if you can see from that point of view, you will understand why you get that reply.
PS : I am not saying that you are and spy or whatnot though, just explaining the possible explaination to why you receive those reply.

I joined the corp after my second day in the game and haven't looked back, we go up in numbers by the day and have a very helpful team to cater for everyone new and old alike.

Just to clarify my statement :)
Not assumption, more of precaution.
Btw just to let you know I was ejected for suspicion only after few days in the corp (5 days to be precised). However I don't harbour any ill feeling towards them for I would do the same in their position. Precaution is always better than cure.
I was not a spy and also I was new so I understand your feelings ;). It is just bad luck.

Hmm Don't know what corp your thinking of but the UKC is no carebear corp. We accept and look after players new to eve and encourage all types of players with all types of interests to join us. This does not make us a carebear corp, our security force is very proficient you only have to ask the corps who have war dec'd us and come to regret it. We are one of the few complete corps who cater for all types of players but rather than make us weak this only gives us strength and depth which few corps can match. We may be too small to take our own peice of 0.0 now, but we grown stronger everyday and all great things start as dreams. We are now 120 members strong with every member active at least 3/4 times a week. This gives us active numbers inexcess of 40/50 per night. We are a strong corp, full of dedicated, enthuastic members who are driven to achieve the goals of the corp. Pretty far from a carebear corp i think!

I was a member for over 6 months, and a director. While it is true that I left because I wanted more pvp, less commitments, and less repurcussions for the corp; UK Corp is still a good corp with good people in it. I also wanted 0.0, and I felt I'd have to wait too long to gain access, but UKC has every intention of being there. Eventually.
I think it's fair to say that UKC's pvp is very limited, it is mainly a case of waiting for the next war, or perhaps chasing a local pirate or two - but the pvp often enough if you just want a pvp element to your game. It's not a pvp corp, it doesn't pretend to be, but it can certainly look after itself.
As for the alt (whose main flys a barge) that calls ukc carebears, Ignore him, he was trolling the thread and a moderator should remove his post.
Basically, UKC is a very good corp to grow your charector, it's also very good to find out what you want to do (bit of everything). You'll meet a lot of friends there, and I'm fairly certain if you join, you won't regret it, no matter how long you stay.
A Good Corp, I hope you're all keeping well

On Monday i logged in for a corporate mining session. Nearly 50 odd people there between miners, haulers, security and scouts. Helped clear 2 entire belts, even with the lag from so many miner IIs.
On Tuesday i chased down a pirate hassling our people in low sec. A good hunt, nice team effort. Even despite not having great skills i was still able to join in and contribute in a warp-scrambling frigate.
On Wednesday it was complexes, putting my Battlecruiser alongside half a dozen others and doing some serious killing. A few rat-Battlecruisers could have been a problem but everything was really well organised so all was safe. Got some nice loot out of it too.
On Thursday i joined in a group of miners in a nice well run op by some lovely folks from the academy. Belts were all bookmarked, spots picked, haulers sorted it we may as well have just been mining raw isk. Made a few million, which was nice.
On Friday a few chaps from the Corp that war-decced us were online and, once again, we taught them what a mistake they'd made (once they had stopped hiding). For little more than a few frigates we totalled every ship they had started with. The isk-lost ratio here is starting to look almost unbelievable. Still, thats what they get for trying to pick on us (talk about uninformed!).
On Saturday it was group missions. This time all the loot we got, barring the special stuff, went straight into the academy hangars for use by the new and needy. Its a nice way to keep the stocks up there and it was more of a fun group thing to be doing really rather than raw money earning. Besides, we made enough in bounties anyway to more than pay for my time!
On Sunday i rested. You know, too much of a good thing and all that. Besides, with these frigate fleet battles i keep hearing about being planned, hauler hunting and guarding, in-system hide and violently seek, i'm gonna need a recharge for next week. :)
--------------------------------------------
No, that wasn't actually my week. But you know what? If i had wanted it to, it could have been. All of the above happen, and pretty damn regularly too. If any or all of them sound like your cup of tea, then why not give us a go.

Not been a member of the UKC for long..... just over a week or so when posting this, but so far I am happy with the move I have made.
UKC have a very good chain of command and excellent organisation, they hold regular events and there is alway someone online at any time of the day or night.
If you are looking for a corp to join then this is it, they cater for all types of player with maybe the exception of the hardend 0.0 PvPer. Who knows even that may change soonÖ
Noo sig comming SOONÖ =================================================== What are we going to do about all this ignorance and apathy?.... I don't know and I don't care! |

Time for a brief little update for things mentioned above:
-We now use Teamspeak, not Ventrillo, and being logged on there is indeed mandatory for all Corp members (even if its just into an afk room, or simply listening in the regular area).
-Our forums are becomming more and more important as our numbers increase (125 now). Its becoming quite a fun little hub during a long dull day at work.
-Organised corp activities are on the increase. 1vs1 frigate, 1vs1 destroyers, 3vs3 etc etc. Group complex runs (2 so far since Monday i think). A new and improved Corp Mining session (our only mandatory event). Things are really kicking off here now, its a great time to join and get involved (and even to try and take a bit of a lead and get noticed).
-All applicants MUST send a couple of requested screencaps prior to being given interview. An evemail will be sent to you detailing this process once and application has been made on our website. These things are usually wrapped up within a week's turn-around.
-I'm ever greater than i was last week, perhaps with as much as a 2.75% increase in my greatness. There's never been a better time to be in the same Corp as me...
...So get applying!

Its a good, friendly corp, with a strong leadership and basic rules that are to be followed(check website). They have made Eve interesting again for me, and thats the best recomendation anyone can give.
Give us a whirl, you wont be disappointed.

Corp chat is allways very active no matter what time I log on, they are always willing to chat and ansewer my noob questions, often ofering advice on things like ships and set ups, as well as everyone around willing to help with tasks such as hauling and so on. UKC is a great corp for players from all levels.
I've been flying with UKC for a few weeks so far(and will be for many more weeks to come), and ive never had so much fun in Eve. This is how the game is supposed to be played and no-one does it beter (imo) than UKC.
So if your from the UK and looking for a new corp. Then you could do alot worse than giving UKC a try. Just go to http://www.ukc-eve.net/ and follow the application details.
I'm just preparing my impromptu remarks. |

Just been reading up on your corp. Unfortunatly i see you do not recruit alts.
My main character is a jack of all trades, but since i reactivated my account i have been working on a new character designed for combat only. I only use my main as a money maker now.
Is there no way you would recruit the 2 characters?

We mean that if you join us, then all your alts/accounts must join.
When we say we don't recruit alts, it means you cant have your main in another corp and have your alt join us.

I fail to see why you want to turn players away based on their real life country. Having a corp accept caldari only or amaar only is great, but having a UK only corp or maybe a german or french or US only corp imo shouldn't be allowed. Why bring the potential for real life discrimination into the game in such a visible form?
Then again I only skimmed this thread and might have missed something :P

What is US and UK or the french or german for that matter. For all I know 'UK' is part of the name of the UK Corp. ________________________________________________

Its not based on discrimination, its based on getting maximum activity from our members at a peak time of day. It also assists in integration between members if they are from the same part of the world. "Bloody weather today etc etc" :P
There are many, many corps that have a US/UK etc only policy. Its not unusual.

As much as I might lament it, it is a reality in EVE that many people do not roleplay. Pilots choose their IC race based on varying criteria, mostly RL ones like stats/appearance, few of which offer them anything in common with others of that IC race.
The UK Corp's motto is "Camaraderie, Integrity, Excellence." And it is the desire to cultivate camaraderie that led the corp to choose to restrict membership to those who are based (ie. residing) in the UK.
For those who share the same location in the RL world also often share other things in common. Similar online times, language, culture, environment (as someone else mentioned: The weather!), sense of humour, history, current affairs, the list goes on and on. These points of commonality offer more chances to build friendships and strong teams within the corp.
The UK Corp does not discriminate against a race, religion, nationality or other RL attribute except: its members should be based in the UK when applying to join.

As all of our membership (at present 122 and growing daily)is using Teamspeak it would be unfair to ask them all to change because one person is having problems.
I do not wish to put you off but please explore the possibility that maybe your setup needs tweaking.
As the use of TS is mandatory in our corps, please when you get sorted visit our site, complete an application and someone will get back to you.
Looking forward to chatting with you again.

How long most often depends on the candidate (i.e. YOU). It sometimes depends on the backlog (if any) we have at any given time.To explain a little.
The first step, is you taking the time to fill in the application on the website. This is then processed, and an evemail is sent you asking you to send us screenshots. This part is generally done within 24 hours max. Often within minutes, it depends when you fill the form in, and who is online in HR to process it at the time.
How long you take to send screenshots back to us, if you get them right or not etc takes some more time. How long depends on many factors, again, but is always done asap.If you follow the instructions in the evemail, it doesn't take very long.
This is all required as part of our security measures. There are no shortcuts to it.
Should all be ok so far, you will then be contacted in-game for an interview. The interview can take around 30 minutes, just depends how it goes, how many questions you, or we have etc. How long it takes to contact you, depends mostly how active you are in game. The more you log in, the more chance of being seen and approached for interview.
If you pass the interview you may be offered a place in the Acadamy there and then, or we may need to get back to you, depending on the results of the interview. Then, once again mostly up to you, how long your IN-GAME application takes to process. This can be seconds, or days. Depends when you file it. Some file it at the same time as when making the website application, some do it after the interview. Some never do it, so never get in. Some take days after an offer to file it. And so on...
Yes, it is some work. It is a lot more work for us than you, the applicant. However we feel each step is needed, to insure we get the best applicants possible, while maintaining as high a security as possible.
I have done all the above, and got people into the Acadamy, fully, in under an hour. Other times it takes weeks, from start to finish.
I like to think of this as the first evaluation of a candidate. If you can't do this, your not UKC material, you simply don't have the commitment we require.
For those who have done this, and get in the Corp, as you can read above, they think it is worth it.

Hi guys, I have heard some really great thinks about the corp and I would love to join UKC. I am a newbie (learning fast) but I have had plenty of past MMO experience. I will be filling out the form on your website but first I would like to ask yourselves a few questions.
(sorry, I know this isnÆt The Weakest Link)
Are you still recruiting?
I have read on your website that you sometimes use Vent for your interviews but I have also read on this thread that you use TS, I would like to be prepared so could you please inform me which one it is please?
I see from your website it says a new member will be given a role in the academy but what is expected of new members when they join?
If I wanted to mine most of the time but also do a bit of PvP (or visa-versa) would this be possible? (just asking because you have different divisions.)
I was going to post this in the UKC website but I thought if you could reply to these questions here it might help other players. It also bumps the thread.
thaks guys, hope to fly with you soon.

We now use Teamspeak, although you don't have to use it for the interview. There is a step by step guide to setting it up on the website when you join with all the server details etc.

Your expected to join in with as many of the activities as you can, one of them is a weekly mining Op, and mandatory. Other than that, your expected to learn our ways of doing things, fit in, read the forums to keep up to date, and most important, haev fun and enjoy your stay with us!

Anything is possible when you join, do what you enjoy the most. You can switch divisions, or even Corps, as your game evolves, and as you fancy doing different things in EvE.

Some updated info for those who read this.
UKC will also now accept people from any countries, in addition to living in the UK, as long as your a Brit now living abroad. This is to help coincide with the next stage of the UKC vision, and to meet a growing demand for entry by these people!
I guess you like making me and Spavin work!
So if your an ex-pat you can now also apply. You will have people on with you in your timezones. For more information apply, and ask for further details during the interview.
We are also looking for more people who are pvp players, again this is part of the next stage of the UKC development. So if your into pvp and want to join our already active 0.0 team, get in touch.
This does not mean in any way we are not looking for other types of players! As we have always done, we will take all types of players and let you see what EvE is all about, and help you realise what you want to achieve. So if your out of trial, and want to join a great corp who are really going places, do apply.
Cheers

I joined UKC Academy just over 4 months ago. I was new to the game and they helped me learn all the basics.I joined in training ops, complexes, mining ops, ran missions with corp mates and joined in Security Force operations to kill war targets.
After my first month I was promoted to full ukc member. I still took part in all the weekly complex runs and mining ops. All training ops were cancelled and I joined in with hunting groups to kill hostiles who dared to come close to our home. I continued to learn more and more about the game and gained PVP experience.
That lasted for a while untill UKC moved home and the main UKC moved into 0.0. The academy stayed in empire to continue to train members.I stayed in empire with the academy participating in all corp events untill UKC empire division was formed.
Im now living in UKC empire division and still learning. Every week im welcoming new members who join the academy with hopes of either joining our empire division or making their new home in 0.0 with the top pvpers of UKC corp.
This is my experience in UKC corp and from what I hear the experience is about to get even more exciting for all members involved with this great corporation.

For those who aren't members yet (regardless of being a n00b or a vet) ......... you only have yourselves to blame.

The UKC would like to wish everyone in EvE a very happy Christmas, and best wishes for the New Year!
Also, we have refined our recruitment process ~ we have removed the need for an offical interview. This means that you will get in the UKC-A much, much faster now. Your "interview" will be your time in the academy. Actions speak louder than words!!
Good luck to all in EvE, we hope you have a great 2006, whatever your doing.

I really doesn't matter if you've got no skills or loads of skills. There's a place for you in this corps and everybody's in it for each other.
I heartily recommend anyone from the UK apply! (Terms & Conditions apply! ;o)

Hello there!
I am considering applying to become a member of your corporation!
I started playing EVE about 2 years ago, but I was inactive for the last year, up until about a month ago... I have only been in one other PC corporation, but when I became active again it seemed to have been disbanded, so after about a month of solo playing I have decided to join a corporation...!
I live in the UK and even though I come from another country and English is not my mother tongue (although it is my mother's tongue, as she was born here ), I don't believe I'll have any problems settling in your corporation!
I've never used TeamSpeak or any such thing, but I've read you've got a guide on how to use it and so I don't believe that would be a problem either...! Though I do tend to be a bit shy!
I read somewhere that you hold a mandatory event (mining I suppose) on a Monday night... I might have a problem there, because usually I'm otherwise engaged on Monday nights for about 2 hours the most - between 8.30 and 10.30! Sometimes it can be even longer than that! Every other evening is fine by me, with the exceptions as always of Friday and Saturday, if I have made arrangements to go out! Not every Friday and Saturday, mind you!
If the inconsistency of Monday nights is not too much of a problem, please let me know and I will formally apply to join your corporation...!
Best regards,
Jade Alexander...!
P.S. I also forgot to mention that if Liverpool are playing and they are live on the TV (that is terrestrial TV, not SKY) then there's no chance in hell that I will be online...! Well, until we win the Champions League again, of course...! ________________________________

Griff: This is not the appropriate thread to discuss such matters.
I forgot to mention in the opening posts - we don't recruit Liverpool fans , nor Arsenal, nor Chelsea, nor Man City - in fact, from now on we will only recruit MANCHESTER UNITED supporters - yep, that seems fair and it's my decision .

I'm sure the winter break was beneficial for Manchester United... Only two games in eight days when most of the others played four!?!
Oh and I don't need to write my teams' name in capitals to somehow prove that we are big, mainly because the MANCHESTER UNITED fans, as does everybody else, know this all too well anyway!
Oh well, at least I hope you do well in Europe...! Oops!
Sorry!!! ________________________________

How does one go about finding out more about what you guys get up to and what membership would involve? I only go on a couple of times a week but I'm looking for some purpose before I get bored of it all. I'm intrigued by 0.0 space but don't want to get ganked for my trouble. Also not really looking to go ganking other players for the sake of it. I'm particular interested in scanning, probing, surveying, recon etc. and am grinding my way towards covert ops - i'd love to find out where the 'ancient ruins' are but nobody seems to know anything... *shrugs*

Hi everbody if you are getting bored with just doing missions and mining on your own and fancy joining a Corp where people do come online every night and are willing to help you out with anything and everything, this is the place to be. I have been in the Corp for 3 weeks now and have'nt looked back since, I've been on mass mining Ops with 30 ships, did a Complex with 17 guys and we took down 9 BS.Ice mining was new to me as well. They are even teaching me how to use the scanner properly and how to lock down ships so the big boys can blow em to bits. Come on do it now, don't just think about it.

As someone has already said : on the application make sure you fill in EVERY box. Just put n/a or whatver in boxes that don't apply to you.

Edited by: Eublepharis Macularis on 25/01/2006 17:50:41 I found this thread the same way you just have and I can honestly say that joining the UKC was the best thing i've done since I download EVE. I've learnt so much in my short time with the corp and the community spirit with fellow corpies is great. UK pilots need look no further. You just found your new home. :D

Hiya guys.
I have only been playing EVE 2 days now and are finding it very good and intresting.
I know me been new and all would put anyone off (even me!) but you guys sound great and would one day like to think I am good enought to join you. The thought of 0.0 space sounds good and the Acadamy idea is just great.
As mentioned I am very new but have a small intrest in minning , and on the fighting side of it ECM appeals to me, though I know very little about it. ( I have a RL intrest in ECM).
At what time into EVE do you guys consider employing some one? (on trial at moment but intend to upgrade)

Hi camor Thanks for the message. As long as you are from the UK or you are an ex-pat and not on a trial account then you can join up anytime. There are always people on willing to help you and joining a corp as soon as possible will help you alot in this game. A bit of re-organistion is going on at the momment so it might take a bit longer than usual for someone to sort out your application.

Hey fox Sec status is not really important its the kind of activity that leads to it. We do not allow piracy in UKC but killing someone who the corp or alliance has a bad standing to is fine. Provided of course you can live with the low sec status and the restrictions that come with it

HI,
I've just applied via the forums. Not sure what come next...!
This is a bit about me...
Existing corp is with RL friends and tends to be a place to hang round in rather than have a purpose!
Looking to move to a large alliance or alliance member in 0.0. Not all that interested (or good) in PvP (but coming along every now and then could be a learning experience!). You must have a purpose...
I'm a team player and enjoy corp activities a lot. Like strong decisive leadership. Like everybody else I guess, I want to make a bucket load of isk, ideally I'd like to gain this from corp activities. Currently I'm a corp director, so used acting in that position and the responsibilities that come with it etc...
At the moment, I do a lot of missions (lvl 3 / 4), trading, production, complexes and mining. I'd like to carry on doing this in 0.0 maybe drop the trading. Would like to try POS etc
I'm a mature player, and loathe pirates who have nothing better to do with their time...!
Can use teamspeak.
Skills:
335k in drones 400k in electronics 725k in engineering 3.3mil in gunnery (projectile + med t2 howitzers) 1.5mil in industry 324k in leadership 1.5mil in learning 393k in mechanic 300k in missiles 210k in navigation 1.1mil in science 205k in social 6mil in spaceship command (Minmitar HAC rdy, Minmitar & Gallente transport ships (Minm + Gall ship industrial to lvl 5), Minmitar B/S, B/C, Frig, Covetor Mining Barge) 62k in trade

Edited by: Joseph Dredd on 10/05/2006 15:43:29 Thanks for the info Valhalla. By now you will have recieved a mail on what to do next, if you need any help with this please get in touch with Vrek Zandis or myself. When you join the UKC you enter as a Recruit Rank 8 for a period of at least 28 days, this is to see if you are suited to the corp and the corp suits you. When/if you graduate you will move to Rank 7. The rank system goes up from there to the highest which is becoming a director. How fast you progress in the corp depends on what you put into it, if for instance you sign up and we don't hear from you for 28 days you will find yourself back in a NPC corp, on the other hand, you fully intergrate and put a lot of work in you will rise through the ranks very quickly, myself I joined in January and am a now Rank 4. The higher up the ranks you go the more responsiblity you recieve and more rewards you get. The corp is a great way to make alot of friends and have fun, but at the same time give you a purpose to playing this excellent game. Hope to see you in game soon, Fly safe

Indeed, the UKC is the place to be atm.
But not just for newer players but experienced pvp and industrial based players will also find the corp very rewarding. Its simple, if you put effort in to helping the corp and those around you, you will recieve the benefits from it ;)
So maybe you are looking for a change but still wanna get involved in massive alliance fleet ops or get involved in T2/Capital ship production, run 10/10 complexes and live in one of the wealthiest areas of 0.0..... well, then apply within

Experienced player?
Join the UKC and become part of one of the founder corps in one of Eve's largest and most powerfull alliances, Lotka Volterra. With full access to our own region of 0.0 space you can reap the rewards of high bounty npc's and rare ores. If PVP floats your boat, there are regular alliance ops and more than enough opportunity to get out there and kill some s**t. Those of you with an industry head on your shoulders could join our TI team and take part in our extensive operations in both empire and 0.0. Including T1 and T2 sales and production.
New to the game?
Our dedicated and hardworking training team will see to it that you receive all the knowlege you need to help you further your life with the UKC. Regular corp ops and at least 4 training ops in all aspects of Eve are organised every week. We'll see to it that, whatever your chosen profession, you'll receive training and guidence to enable you to become a fully fledged part of the team.
What are you waiting for?

Sorry to hear of your losss im not HR dept but i doubt theres any conspiracy we are having a bit of a busy time atm ,though i have to say travelling through 0.0 with valuable items while not having spoken to or been accepted by a corp in any alliance will usually mean bad things will happen Gl with your app though

hi there, im flaetriu. uk based. i am on EVE about 5 times a week for several hours or more.
i have been in eve for about 5-6 months, around 5.5 mil sp (learning, engineering, gunnery) and still class myself as a noobie. (training skills in missiles and spaceship command). i can fly amarr and caldari ships upto battleships. i have been running missions in that time and mining. i want to eventually experience PVP and is closing on that path however still want to run the odd mission now and again. plus also have team speak and enjoy a laugh.
i have a couple of questions before applying:
i am in the armed forces and due to go overseas on detachment next year for around 5 months. with this inactivity will i be kicked out or suspended out of the corporation?
is there still a chance of mission running and fellow corp members helping out?
i have basic mining skills however have techII mining lasers will this improve my chances on the mining nights?
many thanks for your patience and look forward to hearing from you flaetriu out

I will contact you in game tonight and submit my application tonight to join this corporation. ref the question about me going on detachment overseas and this will be from June 07 for 4-5months. Will i be suspended or asked to quit the corp and rejoin when i arrive back from duties.
I know that you have been speaking to Chaos Champion who has recently joined UKC and he has put me on to this corporation.
i will also apply to join the forum tonight when i finish work and is there any pointers or advice i need to adhere to.
many thanks flaetriu

Im looking for a Mature well orginised corp.
About me:
I have aprox 9 Million Skill points. Mainly in mining gunery and amarr ships with a mix of other skills.
I'm looking for a well orginised corp and you seem to fit the bill nicely. I am not looking for hand outs or a free ride. Simply an active well orginised corp.
I dont mind getting my lasers dirty mining :) and more then willing to put in the effort for a good corp.
Hopefully you are still recruiting?

Also you'll end up with a burnt tongue if you have a nice big fancy plasma screen.
In other news, I'm one of the longest serving members of the UKC, and I've no plans to go anywhere else yet. We're still going strong and even have members returning to us after heading into the sunset for a bit of an explore.
I can tell you from experience that although we make demands of you as a player to do stuff for the corp on a regular basis, what you get back out of it is well worth the effort. Recognition, fun, entertainment and maybe even a freebie here or there.
Go on, you know you want to

I'm considering a move from my existing corp, and as you're UK based you are my main choice.
I've got 3 Accounts to move, so I need them all or none into the corp.
There's Emma Royd (me) - Click for my Skill Sheet - Sort of a jack of all trades, but master of none. I'm a generally peaceful player, not really into PvP etc. Main interests are Mining, can fly retriever and Modulated Strip Miners. At the moment I'm slowly working through the learning skills, kicking myself for not doing them earlier in the game.
Next there's FullMental Jacket - Click here for my Skill Sheet - He's my right hand man, standing guard over me while I'm mining in the barge. By the end of tonight he'll be able to use Cruise Missiles and Torpedo's, along with a raven. At the moment he sits in a caracal as I've been developing his skills for when he gets a Battleship, he'll continue to train to be more combat effective.
Last there's HappyHarry - Click here for my Skills Sheet - He's the hauler of the family, can fly Iteron V, and Obelisk, along with a few shield skills. Not really training him up for much else at the moment as that's all I really want the character to be, part of my mining team.
Ok, that's enough about me, I would like some questions answered please.
After reading through your website I figure that FullMental Jacket and HappyHarry would be best put as Freelancers as they're only support to me, although I will play any if needed (ie if a corp mining op is taking place, and you need a hauler then I'll log in with HappyHarry)
Before I go though with the application process I thought I'd ask the best way to go through with it. I'm still in a corp for now, and moving my stuff on a whim isn't an option as its about 40 jumps away and I've not got the cash for a freighter at the moment so I want to make sure that I meet your requirements.
Please get back to me either in game or reply to this to let me know if you're interested, mainly because 2 of my accounts aren't really that active.
thanks

Greetings
I am returning back to EvE after a 4 month break, i only played initialy for a 2-3 month period but had to suspend my account due to work.
I have 3 mil SP , my passion as weird as it sounds is Mining and are slowly working on the skills, i fly a retriever but can fly a coveter (sp) . Other things i have been spending point in are BC's and i have just started on the weapon skills for it.
I am looking for a UK based corp as my base playing time will most like ly be all day into early evening. I am VERY rusty with the game and was not in it long enough to syat with to really make a difference but are willing to learn and do as told.
ABOUT ME:- I am 27 and married, my wife dislike me spending 24/7 on the PC so thats why i struggle to spend all evening online and play during the day while she works. I have read you like active player which as a rule should not be any trouble however i have a few qeuries. I am a serving member of the RAF and as such can often be away for a period anything from 1 week to 4 months, usually i get notice but with todays political climate things may change. When in the UK i work 2days 2 nights 4 off (8-8 uk time ) so i tend to get plenty of free time, but i also have to work weekends which would make t hard to attend compulsurly weekend event all the time.
Anyway that is my story and if you are able to accept that i would love to apply, look forward for hearing for you

Good Morning All,
Anyone that is from the UK and is wanting to join a organised, passionate and fun loving Corporation, this it the place for you. I have been with them only for a short while and I mean only weeks, but they have been most helpful and welcoming. If you are a experienced player or have just joined EVE full-time after your trail basis have a look at their website (page 1 of this topic) and see if is the Corp for you.

I was of the understanding that the majority of your ops were in 0.0 not empire which is why I'd not looked further into joining, please correct me if I'm wrong

Why the particular reason for UK based players ? there might be an answer 20 odd pages back, but hey, really.
Does it have something to do with time zones ?

Hi Zorthal, there's a number of reasons for UK only players but mainly on timezone and language issues.
Silent, Look forward to flying with you mate
Samba, We have a very strong pvp side to the UKC and I think you'd fit in well. The only thing you might see as an issue is that we do have a mandatory weekly mining op that is vey important to the corp but that would be the only mining you'd be asked to do and you're only asked to commit a few hours to either mining hauling or spawn tanking.

The UKC are temporarily suspending recruitment, into the corp. The people who have applied up to now will still be able to join the corp if their application is successful.
The recruitment will resume shortly but if you feel that you have something special to offer the corp then please drop either myself or gr4h4m a post in game. Thanks

Want to join a great Corp?
Then why not try UK Corp, ok I'm no longer a member but I founded the corp and only left due to RL reasons. So why not look them up or talk to them (more info below) I'm sure they will start recruiting again in the near future.
Regards Drake
WHERE CAN I FIND OUT MORE? Look at their lively UKC web site at www.uk-corp.co.uk or contact Joseph Dredd or gr4h4m in game
PS Sorry about this but please do not contact me as not on much these days.

Are you looking for a well-organized corp with structure and clearly-defined objectives?
Do you want to play alongside experienced, mature players who are passionate about the game?
Are you missing-out on some aspects of Eve-Online gameplay; Fleet-warfare, Exploration, Complex-running Capital Ship & T2 Construction?
If you answered yes to any of these, UK Corporation may be the place you are looking for.
Take a look at our Website: UK Corporation
