Hiya, Pretty sleak campaign you got going here .
Questions:-
I don't cry when i fall over or bang my knees anymore...whats the average age of members there? (like one guy said, i don't wanna be yelled at by some pubeless punk)
I've done very little on the 'Mission front' upto yet so, i'm about as useful as a one legged man in a arse-kicking competition when it comes to missions, will this affect my application?
About that mining op you do once a week...i work a 4 on 4 off days/nights (7 till 7) alternate, i won't be able to make that one night about once a fortnight, will this affect my application?
Have been with EVE since day one and have built up some pretty impressive skills as far as gunnery goes and have had most of my fun from pvp'ing, will these skills be wasted in a corp which (up to now) has mentioned nothing about pvp?
I'm from Liverpool, will that affect my application
Scara.

Thanks :D Everyone is over 18, we prefer older members for the same reason, I think the majority of our members falls into the 18-40 bracket!

Certainly not! Solo Missions are anti-social anyway :D We try and find multi-player roles in this multiplayer game ;)

Nope - You can help out in other ways when you can't make the regular op.

Edited by: Chikote on 27/06/2005 12:42:02 Hi. I have applied 3 days ago on your forum and not sure whether it is rejected or still under evaluation. Or maybe the recruiter is busy. Either way would be great to join you guys if accepted.
I am UK based and more on Fighter/Commander skill oriented goals.
I am quite new to this game but a fast learner. Very dedicated game player with years of experience in multiplayer games starting from MUD till today MMORPG. I am online average of 5-6 days a week if time permits.
I have yet got a Ventrillo but will get it soon once I fixed my laptop.
Hope to hear from you guys soon.

Theo, it can just run through normal speakers, like other sounds from your PC. If you are planning to speak too, a combo headphones/ microphone setup is best, and isn't that expensive. ---------------------------

UKC is a great corp to be a part of and has roles to suite almost any type of player. As a relatively new member of the corp and to EVE I wanted to give you my impressions of the corp as a whole and the various departments.
UKC-Academy I joined the UKC as a complete newcomer to the game, the support I have been given by the UKC-A has been really fantastic. We have a chat window specifically for academy members and the quality of information and support given to use noobies is great. Each new member is assigned a buddy, to help with every aspect of the game. Buddies typically are interested in the same aspects of the game as you and will guide you through anything and everything. It really is a fantastic way of getting to know the game and people in the corp.
UKC-Trade and Industry If you want to trade mine or build then this department is for you. The corp makes most of its own ships and these are the guys that make them. You get a discount depending on your ranking in the corp or you can just bring them the minerals and theyÆll build them for you. This also goes for most modules and equipment. As well as the weekly mining op (which can be a lot of fun, and a very impressive sight to behold) there are groups of TI mining frequently. We have one POS (Player Owned Station) and plans for at least a few more, the TI is the department if youÆre interested in these stations. I donÆt know a lot about this side of the game but these guys really do and they can help you achieve your ambitions of massive wealth and asteroid destruction.
UKC-SF (security force) These are the warriors of the corp and they are mighty good at what they do! We have recently been at war with up to 4 merc corps and in every major confrontation the SF have decimated the opposition. (Biggest fleet IÆve been apart of was about 25 ships and we destroyed 80% of the guys we engaged) We have of course taken losses but these have primarily been new members, not obeying instructions or being camped by opportunistic enemies. In most cases the enemies have just run from the SF and just preyed on the noobies (which is really quite pathetic but hey) There is a rigid command structure in the SF and boy do these guys know what they are doing. I have been on a few opÆs with them (they even find a place for total noobies in PvP if you are interested, so you start getting experience straight away) and the British Army would be proud of the organisation, tactics and leadership which I have been witness to. I would not be surprised if some of the SF leaders are ex-military or TA after listening to then on ventrio(voice coms used by SF and corp) During times of war the SF provide great escort services and intelligence to allow the rest of the corp to pretty much carry on as normal. If you want PvP combat, then decent corps like the UKC will always attract attention and the SF is the place for you.
UKC-HR These people are the core of the UKC and are responsible for the smooth running of the corp as well as the recruitment and disciplinary matters. They are a great bunch and if you apply to the corp they will be contacting you shortly. I have recently been promoted myself to the HR team, which just goes to show if you are dedicated to the corp you will be rewarded.
We have a great CEO in Nik and a great bunch of directors helping Nik to run the show. All of them are very approachable to anyone and everyone in the corp and they are all strong leaders. As the corp continues to enlarge, more and more positions will have to be created. If you have aspirations of leadership then the UKC will always need people with strong leadership skills.
Eve is so much more fun when you belong to a decent corp, you goals become larger and the whole experience becomes more involved and challenging. If you want to be a part of a great team of people, you live in UK/Ireland and are online regularly then this is the corp for you.

The UKC is currently recruiting for PvP pilots both in leadership and team scenarios as the corp prepares for a major stage of development.
Also, anyone interested in the 'teaching/training' aspects of Eve would be welcome to support our extensive academy.
If you are UK based and want to join an active corp - then the UKC is the place for you.
Please visit www.ukc-eve.net for more details or contact Lord Tinker, Jonhill Gallent, Joe Jardine, Smog Monster or Dr Draconian in-game for more information.

Hhmmmm you mention you have a couple of wars! Whats the story there and with the Noob recruitment going on what losses are you accruing through the war?
What is the likely hood of wars ending? Do you proactively seek hostilities?
Being a seasoned player, I have alot to loose through getting podded etc if I were to apply to join the mighty UKC

Currently the ukc is no longer at war. We have plans to protect our newer members in the event of war and recent wars had little effect on our members. (Except the security forces who had great fun PvPing) We are a peace loving corp and have so far not war dec'd anyone. The previous wars were with merc corps of an unknown reason. Any questions contact me ingame or on our forums www.ukc-eve.net Whoever does not try, does not learn |

All I can say is join now. I promise you will not regret it!
These guys are Great. From the second I joined the corp I was made welcome. I was shown around, assigned a buddy (a more experienced corp member who helps you with any questions among other things to help with life in the world of EVE) and greeted by every corp member.
There are always other members online and the corp chat channel is always active. There is even a UKC-Academy chat channel where you can ask questions about anything.
UKC is a very well run corp with all its members taking an active role. ItÆs a great gaming environment and I would recommend it to anyone.

And here's my tuppence, sorry to keep y'all waiting.
As you can see from a few pages up *points* i applied to join these bods about 3 weeks back. They let me in (the fools!).
Now, having been with them a little while, i've been able to see how things go on here and what they're like.
They're grand.
You see, in my opinion, all MMO games ultimately become very dull after a point if you keep playing on your lonesome, and Eve is no exception. I sit at home with the tv just to my left, The Wife on the other side of that and a nice calm soothing fish-tank to my right and yet i STILL want to cut my own wrists after several hours of solo-mining (good job that fish aren't sharp, eh?).
The lovely peeps (tm Christian, WWE) here have managed to save me from this prospect of aquatic injury. They're (mostly *wink*) good people. I can have (mostly *wink*) a laugh with them. I have given out no less than FIVE GOLD STARS in the last three days, thats just how good some of these people are.
You see Eve, like all MMOs, is just a game. Wars, ships, mining, isk, rank, 0.0, yadda yadda yadda none of them really matter all that much when all else is said and done, not so long as You Are Having Fun (in my opinion, of course).
With (some of *wink*) the chaps on here, i have just that.
As such i can ask for no more.
Now, if you'll excuse me, i seem to have developed a a strange twitch. Toodleoo y'all.
Be seeing ya :)
