I don't have a clue, why it's no updating properly in the small version, but here is a comparison: old new So this is a brilliant thread so far :)

I've clicked on all 7 light options, and moved the intensity all over the place, and the light still remains the same. Only the thumbnails which determine where the light shines from is working for me..

Ohtherwise, my advice would simply be - take your time with the character creator, wait with your portrait until you really have the time to make it.

First time through I had no idea about the color options for the lighting, or the smooth zoom function, or that some clothes have options. Though I violated some of the "rules" suggested here. Such as same eye makeup as iris color, and light background. Looks ok to me.

I would point out like any picture the "rule of thirds" will help you focus your character. Also your eyes will be drawn first and foremost to the point in the image with highest contrast. Side-note: all of this is very subjective, the only thing that matters is to achieve what looks good to you.

The intensity bar adjusts the main light and it's....intensity. That's what I found out...if it's not working for you, maybe it's bugged.
