Oh yeah, CCP Hammer's voice was breaking, as did Flying Scottsman but just a bit.
These are live devblogs... You don't get to listen about hybrids and Black Ops tuning if it isn't what they are currently working on. Forget it, period. Be thankful "some" questions were answered.
I listened to the whole thing although i didn't think it would be kind of boring.
and Soundwave should've ended the thing with the signature Toodles.!

We're still reading these responses, so please keep the feedback coming. It's much appreciated. Yeah, even the negative stuff.
Thanks!

The people that are going to be on and there area of focus needs to be communicated better. There where a lot of CC questions that where not asked in the question thread but have been repeated over hand over in general chat channels. Height and race change for example which where not asked. A pre list of common questions which we can add to would be better.

Originally by: mechtech I think the CSM should choose questions from the community every month (from a thread in CSM Summit) for CCP to answer in a live devblog fashion. One of the CSM delegates should be present to ask the questions, and in addition the CSM delegate could request clarification on any answers that don't come out right.
I love the idea of an unedited live audio devblog, but I can't help but think this would be the perfect opportunity for the CSM to get more involved!
That would be fantastic and unlikely to happen for that very same reason.

I think people are used to getting something "new" (even if something very small) out of a devblog. That's why they're so fun because we get a little outlook on things to come. In that department this one clearly didn't deliver. Why would you not share some new tidbits of info a few hours before the expansion launches anyway? Completely beyond me and I'm pretty sure not the only one.
Next people are used to devblogs being relatively concise (well depends on the dev obviously). Half of the time of this live dev blog was wasted with explaining how this or that can't be answered. Well if you can't or don't want to share the answer then how about you let soundwave ask questions that actually CAN be answered? Would make sense, no? The worst case of this was probably Hammer explaining that he basically has no clue what the question means and hence can't answer it at all? Really? Again how about you select questions in advance and make clear they're understandable to your dev team? It seemed more like Hammer was miffed because the question insinuated that he/CCP cares mostly about what brings more new players. Can't have inconvenient questions, huh? Well once again: don't put them on the agenda then.
Sound quality: yeah...
I was really looking forward to hearing those but it left me absolutely disappointed. Maybe stick with the written form...

Originally by: CCP Soundwave I'm using a Creative Fatal1ty headset. It's really great although I don't really understand the need for swapping the "i" for a "1". I'm 28 and I feel like my headset was named by a 12 year old
Posting to confirm that despite the really stupid name and general obnoxiousness of "GAMER GEAR/CLOTHING/FOOD/TOILET PAPER", those are actually some pretty good headphones, and surprisingly inexpensive. ________________

Pretty lame. No new information. No difficult questions even asked let alone answered.
You should make people roll 2d10 and answer the questions from the post # that comes up.

When will you guys take a look at hybrids/walletubships?
My questions is not negative! your answer can have a positive impact
For the negative side: we are tired of the silence or ignorance on your side guys. ________________________________________________

3 pages is nothing for an event like this.
The reason for this is that people didnn't like it or just said I didn't expect more.I'm not trying to troll or insult anyone just saying the truth.
You guys read the forums and know whats going on.The day you start being honest with us and telling us what we want to know you will see a change in attitude.
I can only assume that the whole reason for this live blog is to throw us a bone but if thats the case you have to do it too.
Whats the point in being so secretive about it all? I'm going to use the hybrid buff just as an example. Are they being looked at? If not then why not? Explain to us how you guys see it. Even if its just a no. We have to deal with what you guys choose to do any way. Which is ok its your game after all but these are the things that players want to know.It would close the subject and people like myself can say ok..Im training minmatar ffs.At least we know and don't feel like we've been pulled over the table by training further into it.
Incarna has been the number one topic forever.Do you have a plan? Did it change? Why/why not? Anything would be nice.If not this thing is a whaste of time in my opinion, yours and ours.We want to know the real deal and not the pr stuff.I have heard about this years ago..years.Many of us have waited a very long time for this to either happen or not happen.
This is what gets me sometimes..the whole top secret thing.
More info please. And I bet you will see three times the people in the live blog as well as here giving their comment.

I enjoyed this, and look forward to the next one! :D

To me, the whole thing felt highly scripted, which made it come across more as a PR machine than an insider look into game design. What I personally hope to see from dev blogs, especially live ones, is more akin to a master-class. But I realise how difficult that must be when there is so much you can't actually talk about. Still there must be more room inbetween what feels like a PR machine and what would be a learning experience for the listeners.
Thank you very much for answering my question during the live blog by the way, really apreciate it!

Thank you all for your input so far. We'll take these views into account as we move forward with Live Dev Blogs. While I'm going to un-sticky this thread, it will remain open in case you have something else to add.
Details on the next Live Dev Blog will be announced mid-February, with a broadcast slated for the end of the month.
