Having played in a corporation with a few people I later find out to be of an age group I would not normally stereotype as being gamers (mid fifties) I was curious who the oldest player in EVE is. So shout out and be heard those of you who are bitter vets at life.

Well that generation you speak of (guys in their 40s-50s-60s-70s) created video games/computers/Internet/tech and well everything else you geeks like. You know like Star Wars, Star Trek, books, comics, cars etc, etc, etc.. all the endless crap you love.
Why would they not be into games and technology now?
This aint the 1950's 1960's anymore :) Get with the times
Every generation stands on the shoulders of their elders and everything they did which was a hell of alot. We are screwed now days though cause kids/teens are useless, fat and dumb as hell :)

There was a thread in Out of Pod a year or so back asking older players to introduce themselves. One or two were into their 70's. Scifi has been around for some time, E.E. Doc Smith was writing stories that predated Star Trek and Star Wars by 30 to 40 years and bore some resemblance to both in certain ways. I'm 42 so in the younger range of the 'older player' but people in their 50's+ are playing all kinds of games and highly involved in online communities.

Late 30's here. I'm still growing my lawn, but when it's done, stay the hell off it. :)

I know a woman in her 60s (65)
She has a G15 keyboard a cyborg gaming mouse and is a total stoner XD
She's like the grandma I never had ^^ (As my dad's mom passed before I was born)
'cept you can expect her to have a few joints in her purse instead of candies lol
One thing though that throws ppl off is that she has a voice like she's 30 years younger hehe

I've played with people in their 50's and 60'. Gamers older than that have a tendency to play flight and train simulators instead of MMO's.

is that even considered old?
my apple IIe came out way before that...
but my first programming was done on an APL remote terminal attached to a suction-cup telephone accoustic modem, and the mainframe charged you $ per minute.
(and my second programming experience was on punch cards, i guess i slipped back in time lol )

My first computer was the Commodore Amiga 500, had 1 full meg of RAM, top notch back in it's heyday.
As for my age, well...... Let's just say that I'm with the class of '76'.
