The only explanation outside of a huge bug in the game is that somebody at CCP offlined the bubbles before people were allowed to log back into the game. Like I sad in an earlier post that person would have been smarter to offline all the bubbles and not just the ones at the towers where there were supercaps looking to escape.

There's no question that the bubbles were up ahead of DT and gone immediately after. I've got a Mael flying alt down there as a part of the TEST/Goon fleet. (It's good fun. I'd hate to have that much ISK bubbled up by an enemy op and it's quite fun being on the 'bubbling' side of it.) Anyway: congrats on the really good luck to the pilots who took advantage of the bug to get their ships out. Unless IT becomes more effective breaking the siege in the next 48hrs than they have in the last 48 hrs, it was only by the luck of the CCP bug that you get out with your expensive toys. And if was an intentional exploit by which the bubbles came down, or the actions of some bent CCP person: hopefully that gets rooted out and punished.

IT got CCP to help and then called off their CTA since there was no need for it.
