Whilst I agree that, visually and technically, this is quite the achievement, the humour isn't exactly high-brow (basically, it's one step above fart jokes and knock-knock jokes).

Well... what can I say? I just stumbled on this link today, watched the first two Clear Skies, and now just finished the third. I am completely shocked at how good these were, especially the third one.

Props to Ian/JR and everyone involved on making films 1-3, they are very, very impressive.

It's somewhat sad that the writing/dialogue/storytelling of these movies are head and shoulders above many mainstream sci-fi films/tv shows. I genuinely laughed out loud at several parts and felt an excitement I usually only get watching certain movies.

Anyway, to anyone debating whether to download this movie and watch it - don't hesitate - but first watch 1 and 2!

***Spoiler Alert***
(Why didn't JR distract the fleet while the carrier destroyed the cyno-jammer? Seems like a carrier w/ all those fighters could dispatch it rather quickly. Plus all those lives on the carrier wouldn't be lost. Yes, I understand it made for a more dramatic scene, but it didn't really make sense.;p)

I'm afraid I can't agree with that. Clear Skies has been improving steadily since the beginning, and CS3 is much or more of an improvement than CS2 was.

Think of the stakes! CS2 centered around the fate of a single station. This was, well...certainly grander.

That is not to say she doesn't have some good points, but before she even watched CS3 she already had it in mind to find something to complain about. It's just to get a raise, attention, and stick out.

Totally awesome stuff this! Now, if there is ever a fourth installment - which I seriously hope - the least CCP could do in exchange for the free publicity and the new subs is to give Ian and the team help in transferring these characters to Carbon.

* Get the art department to "copy" the models to Carbon
* Give the crew of Clear Skies their own special ships
