This post is just in regards to watch out for the goons and their convincing join our corp/alliance scams... it is very convincing but as i know now was a waste of time and isk, i started out new and bought some isk because i wanted a little kick start. anyhow now to business

They start by doing a normal interview and telling you about the programs that goons run like for example ship replacement and carrier programs for people that wish to go down that road, it gets to the point where they ask you to applied at a site which looks really well made and legit, where you have to supple your API code(full) in which they check how much isk you have and determine an entry fee to make sure your not a spy...... and at the same time shorty after they tell you that they have a free relocating service in which they can help you transfer all of your goods to their home base so by the time your accepted you'll be ready to go.

please heed this warming don't fall for these scams, if someone opens a private conversation with you that is from goonswarm that wish to recruit you just close it and don't bother, save your time and maybe a lot of isk.

i simply joint a new game with some extra in-game money and well wanted to join the biggest group out there as my reasoning was that, if they are one of the larges names/ or amount of people they must be doing something right which i wanted to learn from(pvp wise).

i was very much disappointed but in the same time good on you that was worth paying for the isk in return for the entertainment of fake recruiting, the amount of effort you went through to convince me was outstanding.

so in short new players this is just another scam to be aware of, my only tip and exp out of this is to only join a corp that DOES NOT require a entry fee for any reason.

What's even more of a joke is Goonswarm is actually listed as a new player friendly corp on the Eve launcher. Some helpless noob looking over that might even think Goonswarm is endorsed by CCP to be new player friendly.
