If a mining alt was my main source of income to fund my PVP habit, I'd mine in the most dangerous system I could find to inject at least some modicum of challenge and enjoyment into the time spent.
To carve a successful niche for yourself in EVE you need to be able to out sell, out produce, out fight,-á out run, or out wit your competitors.
If you can do none of the above, your only option is to complain on the forums that somehow you are at a disadvantage using the exact same tool set-áas the rest of the player base. |

Since the barge buff the income from mining isn't actually that bad even when you don't fit for max yield (if you do fit for yield you deserve to explode hilariously & often), it is however the most boring thing imaginable to be doing in a sandbox. I tend to mine when I can't sleep, which is pretty much every night, nothing is guaranteed to make me nod off faster than mining.

Tears fuel the end game in EvE. If you are unlucky enough to get blasted - do not give a single tear. Sociopaths thrive on it. And no game has as many as we got in EvE. Why the end game here is to grief others. I mean how many billions of isk do you need?
CCP buffed up barges. They are not going to turn them invincible in high sec space. Goons would all counter with a mass we are gonna leave if you take away their largest boot in the sandbox. Nothing is safe and that's just the risk of Eve and it has been since it started. Until CCP starts holding suicide gankers fiscally responsible, which I don't think they will, expect it to continue. If not with Ice interdiction, hulkageddon, or some new tear harvesting method.
Remember don't cough up those tears! Never! They can take your ship, but they can never take your tear duct excretion modulated through text - unless you give it to them! |

Goons current campaign is more like Guerilla Warfare than terrorism, they're causing mayhem with a small number of people and probably laughing their heads off while they do it. All good fun IMHO, unless you're the unlucky bugger that just exploded

I can agree with you for themost part...
Terrorist is a someone that uses fear as a primary weapon even though the majority of thier attacks are pretty much nonstategically ineffectual. The ICE interdictions in the grand sceme of Eve'economy are not even marginal ( just like HULKageddon ) but the fear of being ganked in icefields orthe frieghter interdictions on frieghter pilots psychy is measurable. Sorta like how in the USA we are now being body cavety searched is a waste of time compared to the real number of 'terrorist attacks' have been prevented

What the TSA are doing in the states and what equivalent bodies are doing worldwide is nothing more than security theatre, given today's' technology it would be a trivial matter to smuggle a lethal item onto an aircraft.
Straight off the top of my head I can think of 2 items that are readily available that can be classified as lethal that won't set off a metal detector & probably not show up on a body scan, ceramic & obsidian blades, with obsidian it's a material that has been used since the dawn of mankind. Old School can beat technology
